If you're an Android user who wants something with a Premium feel and look that resembles the more expensive Apple iPad, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 fills that void in the form of the looks and it's overall style, but when it comes to the usability and flawless performance of Apple's signature tablet line, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 falls short in so many ways. The difference between Android and Apple are like night and day. You could probably find an iPad which is a few years out of date that offers far better performance than this tablet can give you. You could probably find an iPad which is a few years out of date that offers far better performance than this tablet can give you. Coming from using different configurations of iPad models over the years, I can surely attest that fact. Even the basic iPad runs circles around this model without even trying.Using this tablet for a few weeks, I can easily see the difference between Android and Apple. This tablet not only starts up slow when you turn it on for the day, but it continues to stumble along throughout the entire time you get to use it. It does work, but performance is very subpar at best. I can usually get everything done, but I tend to lose a lot of time doing so. I could easily get things done not only faster, but also more efficiently than I can with the Samsung Tab A7 lite. The name "lite" speaks volumes here. you will notice it mostly in the performance of the device as you try to use it throughout your day. It gets the job done, but stumbles to finish the most basic of tasks without slowing down to some extent.I believe the main reason here is just because it's an Android tablet, and not made by Apple. Android is a more universal operating system, built to run on many different configurations. Apple, on the other hand builds their hardware specifically for their software. While Android can run on the most low end device, You can see this when looking for an Android device, and see that even the most bare bones hardware runs some form of Android. But since this is only about a $200 device, you have to make some compromises. If you can overlook these faults, and ignore the bottlenecks that this tablet gives you, you should be fine. Just don't be surprised when your friend with their iPad gets done far quicker than you can.The only positive thing this tablet has going for it, other than it's premium looks is the fact that it still has a headphone jack on it. Something most of the newer devices from Apple have removed a long time ago.

My device works flawlessly, the only issues I have are the battery life and time it takes to charge. Other than those things. This device is great. I use it daily. Either playing movies, games or even monitoring vehicle data thru my Obd2 Bluetooth interface. It would be great to have more programing features for tuning a vehicle. I would think that would be a priority to add to the platform due to the popularity of this new day of automobile enthusiasm. The gaming could use a few more clicks of sensitivity on the control side of the applications. I do appreciate Samsung ongoing efforts to improve the devices it carries. I also think that Samsung should bring the Note Series back into the spotlight. These devices should have never gone away. I have spent the past 15 years respectively using the Note line. The one I'm stuck with now is the Note 10 because it was sent to me in error I am unhappy with the non expandable memory I had ordered the Note 10+, and with unexpected events that were bestowed upon my Note 9 I was forced to use this Note 10. It's good but having the SD card feature would make it better and it needs to be a bit bigger in my opinion. I feel like I'm going to break it in my hand. It feels small and dainty. All of the other Samsung products that I have used in the past and in the present have been great.. Samsung does an excellent job taking reviews and criticisms and implementing great devices from them. Keep the innovation coming and I look forward to futur

It's like going to 7-11 and buying sushi - did you THINK you were gonna get good sushi from 7-11?Purchased 12/4/22 as a promo thru Spectrum (Verizon LTE mobile data). $4 a month for 24 months.($96 total over 24 months plus service)having had the 2021 Tab A base wifi version I knew what I was getting into -First off, Tab is the industry standard top line value leader, these are base models with just enough display and ram + storage to make it an acceptable value road warrior. Need more? Go with any full size A or S 8 Tab for triple the price and upfirst off - when you boot the Tab for the first time you'll be bombarded with trackback trash from Google and Samsung - just do your thing to get it setup...after about an hour of setup and updating you'll have a pokey but usable tablet -Here's where we go through and dump EVERY SINGLE PRELOADED AND INTRUSIVE APP AND 'ENHANCEMENT that Google , Samsung and Microsloth all packed into your tablet.I went thru and deleted or force closed and disabled 59 separate apps and programs that I never intend to use, One Drive,. Google Drive was using almost 2 gigs doing nothing but intruding my every keystroke. GONE!ONE DOES NOT NEED A YOUTUBE app to view YouTube - go to the web version and - boom! Done. and the biggest benefit of using web based stuff is you get the most recent version every single time! After disabling or deleting every trash app and bloatware (don't forget, at least 59 different ones) that eat ram and also call home and burn thru mobile data sending every keystroke back to the mothership, you'll have a super responsive tablet with decent amt of free space to watch movies, surf or read and compose email.and listen to music -. It made a night and day difference in speed and overall performance - Its laughable they promote it as a LITE value leadet tablet and then proceed to load it with several gigs of useless bloatware. Now I have a great CHEAP mobile LTE data connected tablet for GPS / Music / Movies / Web and email - average mobile data on LTE mm wave is 80meg down and 5+ up. More than sufficient to stream all day long. I can run Waze or Google maps for GPS updated every 8 seconds for real world road conditions all while checking and composing email and maybe playing music or Netflix movies quite seamlessly with no buffering and actual HD video.I have a Tab A wifi an iPad Air T Mobile data and the A7 Lite Verizon. In terms of overall speed the iPad is the fastest with best overall display but horribly muted audio. The Tab A7 Lite has a great bright display (one of the brightest I've seen) and mobile data is near flawless with no buffering. The most appreciated positive is the top and bottom mounted stereo speakers - in a world of decent tablet with shitty - barely acceptable audio, the A7 lite in portrait mode is a standout for it's actually loud and crisp and customizable left and right side stereo audio speakers and clean exceptionally high brightness display - it's no Retina display, however it is brighter and has better contrast than the iPad Air II - (which still wins with it's impressive pixel density and slightly lower brightnessFor under $100 a Tab A7 Lite mobile data tablet that's been scrubbed of unneeded apps and progs is a legitimate road warrior - paired with a rugged case and you've got a legitimate basic workhorse for your mobile life - if you need more power - spend more money.

It measures 10.4-inches across the diagonal and boasts a better-than-Full HD resolution of 2,000 by 1,200 pixels. It’s by far the best screen I’ve seen in the entry-level segment for tablets. I found it a joy to use day in and day out. It was bright, clean, and colorful, with sharp text and clear icons. The display is great for watching movies and TV shows.Samsung nailed the speakers. With four speakers aboard and Dolby Atmos for tuning via headphones, you can expect great sound. I was very pleased with the overall response of the speakers, which produced rich, detailed sound. Though you can plug directly into the headphone jack, I found the speakers great on their own. The Tab A7 may cost a bit more than competing low-cost tablets, but the extra cash is well spent. It’s no pro-grade machine, but for everyday activities such as watching videos, browsing the web, and even gaming, it gets the job done and then some.
I purchased this to replace my Samsung Tab A 10.5 (2018), which died after about 4 years of use. I primarily use my tablet to exercise or watch movies on flights, sometimes to read. Overall I am a very light tablet user. Compared to the 2018 version, this model is much slower, feels clunkier, and the battery drains really quickly. I turn my tablet off while not using it - the A7 Lite takes an incredibly long time to turn on. It takes minutes to get to the home screen, and then once at the home screen I need to wait a few more minutes for the UI to load. If I tried to use the tablet too quickly (even though it's on), it will repeatedly freeze and I get an error that the UI program has stopped working, which means I have to restart the tablet. The tablet is fully updated and I have never had that happen on the 10.5 - now it happens literally every time I turn the tablet on. I would just keep it on, but the battery drains like crazy. If I watch about 4 hours of videos on it throughout the week, it will die if I don't turn it off in between. I have all of the optional background processes turned off. Even with the larger screen at at 4 years old, my old tablet wasn't burning through the battery this fast. Honestly, I am disappointed in this tablet. It's not the worst, but it's much lower quality than my previous tablet, even though I thought it was basically a 1:1 replacement with a newer model. I would not have even replaced my old tablet if I knew just how clunky this one was.

It runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 processor, which is paired with 3GB or 4GB of RAM depending on the model you choose. It's not the most powerful combination out there, but it's plenty fast for most everyday tasks like web browsing, social media, and streaming video. It can handle light gaming as well, but don't expect to run the latest graphically intensive games on it.Battery life is another strong point for the Tab A7. Samsung claims up to 13 hours of video playback on a single charge, and in our testing, we found that to be a realistic estimate. That's plenty of time to get through a long flight or a day at the beach. The only real downside to the Tab A7 is the camera system. The rear camera is just an 8-megapixel
Even though I have had this tablet less than a day, I can say with certainty, I am beyond thrilled with my purchase. Years ago, I owned my first Samsung Galaxy tablet. Then in 2012, I purchased my first iPhone. Soon after, updates for my Samsung Galaxy tablet stopped. Since I used my iPhone for most everything, I switched to using Kindle because it was cheap and only used my tablet to read Ebooks.Earlier this year I upgraded to the IPhone 13 mini. Although I enjoy having a smaller phone, I miss the larger screen size for photo editing, browsing and reading emails. This past week, frustrated with the sluggishness of Kindle and limitations of the Kindle App Store, I started looking at Android’s. I noticed this particular one was on sale. I spent the better part of a day watching videos reviewing various Samsung and Lenovo tablets that were under 200.00. This particular one regularly 199.00 was on sale for 129.00.Though the weakness of this particular tablet is the camera, the other features of this Samsung Galaxy A7 8.7 screen size could not be matched with other similarly priced tablets. The screen is responsive. The 8.7 inch screen size is a perfect size. I have had several apps open without any noticeable decrease in speed, set up was super simple. The 64GB gives me enough room to download apps without needing to have an SD card immediately (I will get one soon though) I plan on purchasing a keyboard case and a stylus to use with this in the near future. For 129.00, I have zero complaints about this nifty Samsung Galaxy.
This tablet from Samsung is okay -- not great, and not terrible, just okay. I wanted a small table to use for light demanding work - book reading, browsing, checking email. And, the A7 Lite does all of this adequately. That's just it, though, "adequate." I understand that this is a cheap tablet, and Samsung had to cut some corners. BUT, they cut too many corners, they cut the wrong corners, and they cut the corners to severely. The build quality of the A7 Lite is fantastic. It looks and feels beautiful and high end. The all metal frame and glass front are great.Once you start using it though, it quickly becomes apparent that this is a very budget device. The screen isn't bad. The colors are well produced, but it does have a washed out look and it doesn't get that bright. But this is fair for the price point. However, the processor Samsung used is where this table feels terrible. It is very slow. The lag is EXTREMELY noticeable and, often, VERY ANNOYING. Samsung should have charged a few dollars more and used a faster processor. The slow chip make this tablet annoying and, at times, frustrating to use. Another poor choice by Samsung is that this tablet doesn't use magnets to wake when you lift the cover. This seems like a pointlessly cheap decision to make - one that cannot have saved much money, but really detracts from the user experience.Again, I am well aware that this is a cheap tablet. But, Amazon's Fire Tablets are much cheaper and have a lower build quality, but are a pleasure to USE compared to this one. Samsung elevanted form too much over substance on this device. Rather than trying to produce the cheapest table possible, Samsung should insteat introduce an 8 inch Tab S8 - a premium mini tablet to compete with the iPad Mini.
