We use the monitor in place of a tv. It has a good size screen, but the sound isn't great: a but tinny, and doesn't go very loud.

Using this one to replace an older 32" TV that I used as a monitor, and couldn't be happier. Gaming is fine and all other things are fine too. Highly recommended.

I opened this item 3 days ago and was impressed, until it started making popping noises that sounds like little static shocks. This has continued to happen and is very annoying resulting in me wanting to return the monitor. If you don't get annoying static shocks it is a great monitor. Clean UI, Fantastic colours, great refresh rate, and curvature. Note, it isnt height adjustable but you will probably not need to adjust it as it is so big. I however am not impressed at all at this noise and will probably return. Samsung is offering to send a technician for free which is nice however I expect that my monitor will work flawlessly as soon as I buy it.
