First off, the issues raised in the review by WilliamR58 are accurate, reproducible, and are known faults of the product. I have experienced all of the issues reported in that review.I have a MacBook Air M2 connected to the first port which reports 100W charging within MacOS. Good!I then have two official Apple USB-C to Lightning cables installed to charge my iPad / iPhone etc. That's a bit overkill, but the problem is that even if they're not connected to a device it still reduces the power output of the first port down to 60W. Bad.I finally have a HomePod Mini plugged into the last port, which is stable regardless of how many times I plug / unplug other cables. Good!Unfortunately, I cannot use this charger with an HP Elitebook (G6 I think), as it constantly ... MoreFirst off, the issues raised in the review by WilliamR58 are accurate, reproducible, and are known faults of the product. Good!Unfortunately, I cannot use this charger with an HP Elitebook (G6 I think), as it constantly connects and disconnects (a known issue). As seen in the links in the aforementioned review, it negotiates and then drops the connection with the laptop, rendering it impossible to use as a power source for the laptop. Very bad!For those who are sensitive to sound, there is a faint high pitch buzzing that comes from the unit, so you probably don't want this in your bedroom when trying to sleep. Though with daytime ambient noise, it's virtually silent.I'm happy with my purchase as it suits the majority of my specific needs, but I am disappointed that it has flaws which require you to have a backup USB-C charger just in case you happen to have a device that this charger fails to negotiate with.

With everything updating from A to C, been looking for a 3/4 port with the watts to properly charge all ports. So far this has met my expectations. Have 1 USB-c for Nintendo switch and accessories charge. 2 Apple lightning for iPad/iPhone. 1 MagSafe puck, and it does produce the max 15w. Will buy another when it comes back in stock.

I purchased this Gan charger as soon as it came out. Since than I purchased 10 more. It is probably the best charger I've ever had and used. Very powerful and charges laptops/iPads/iPhones and other devices super fast. It's not really overheating. I'm very happy with it. Who needs Anker when you have Satechi. Great job. Highly recommended. Thank you.

I’m thrilled with the Satechi power chargers - I have a 100W 2xUSB-C +2xUSB-A and now the 165W 4xUSB-C. They work wonderfully even when pushed to the limit, without heating more than just “warm to the hand”. This 165W being smaller and lighter than the previous 100W, which was already as small and light as the default single-USB-C native charger of the laptop, makes it even more comfortable for carrying it around to the office or anywhere else on the backpack. These chargers keep the power active all the time. Other cheaper brands disconnect and renegotiate the power when a cable is connected or when a device is fully charged, which makes them insupportable constantly beeping “charger connected” / “charger disconnected” every dozen seconds or so when one of the ... MoreI’m thrilled with the Satechi power chargers - I have a 100W 2xUSB-C +2xUSB-A and now the 165W 4xUSB-C. I purchased the 100w Portable charger from Satechi a few months ago and love it! When this 165W charger came in stock, I had to grab it. All of my devices and cables are USB-C and this powerful charger is the perfect complement in a small package. I have no problems charging my 16" M1 MacBook Pro, iPhone, and iPad Pro at the same time, with a port to spare. It's fast and reliable.
The premium feel as always. The amount of ports are sufficient for me at least and over time it’ll be for everyone as more companies adopt the type c port charging. It charges really fast and functions properly. A clean looking device with functionality and premium feel, that’s what Satechi has always been about and I love it. My daily driver now.
Most earlier 2-, 3- and 4-port USB C chargers from Satechi, Anker and other brands allocated smaller and smaller amounts of current to the ports as more devices were plugged in — and this, even though the additional devices might be low-power ones such as iPhones. In some cases, the allocation was reduced just because an iPhone Lightning cable was plugged in, even id no iPhone was plugged into that cable at the moment. The result was that a laptop plugged in to the designated high-power port always got less power than it should, and charged more slowly.Because this charger has a such a generous total output, a high-power device plugged into the first port still gets at least 60 Watts, no matter what low-power devices, and how many, are plugged into the remaining ... MoreMost earlier 2-, 3- and 4-port USB C chargers from Satechi, Anker and other brands allocated smaller and smaller amounts of current to the ports as more devices were plugged in — and this, even though the additional devices might be low-power ones such as iPhones. The stand is a nice touch. Temperature management is excellent; the charger doesn't feel warm at all. My two suggestions are:1. Bigger port labels, visible even when devices are plugged in, and even from the sides. Identifying Port 1, the highest-power port, is important. Remember that chargers are often laid on their sides, or facing backward, and are usually placed on the floor, under a desk, behind a monitor, or in some other dark corner. Delicate, "designer" labels don't help.2. Less packaging. The box is far too large for the contents, and represents a waste of cardboard.
Take time to read and understand the port capabilities. Not all ports are full speed, the more ports you use the lower the speed, and certain ports in different configurations deliver different speeds. This is great for a lot of different use cases. I've seen complaints because people didn't read the spec sheet. The box has a great guide on what ports deliver exactly what wattage in which configuration.
Expensive but probably cheaper than 4 equivalent chargers. No included cables so you need to make sure to get cables that can handle 65W/100W which is annoying.Overall solid construction, quite hefty so better for a desktop but could still travel with it if required.
Very good built quailty works well, enough for my macbook, ipad, iphone, wireless headphone, power bank and other stuff. The weird thing is pd1 port will only charge apple stuff with original apple cable but can charge apple stuff on pd2 pd3 pd4 with after market cable or original. Pd1 with aftermarket cable (i use fasgear 100w usb3.1gen2) charges anything else thats not apple. Weird.Overall pretty stable, looks very nice with included stand, doesn't get hot, blue light gives it a nice look but can be noticable at bedtime.
