Great attachment for what I do at home. Everything I had was USB 2 and 3 and this aluminum cased option looks good and performs well. I have an external hard drive and DVD player plugged in and they operate flawlessly. As an amateur radio operator I will be connecting more in the future… my m1 iMac and this option makes things run smoothly!

I was very hopeful about his hub as my new MAC has no USB ports. Loved the design. It is sleek and clean.However, it does not work. My Logitech Brio camera freezes, and the Yeti microphone won't function/connect. I worked with Apple and with Satechi and despite our combined best efforts, it does not work.I am back to using the single USB port from Apple and exploring their recommended Belkin product.

Although it is great to have these additional 'slots' -- I find inserting and/or removing the cords somewhat concerning. In a nutshell, the 'slots' are a little too snug. I have to ensure that I hold my iMac -- so it doesn't move -- while plugging in or plugging out.

This product works exactly as advertised. Easier than trying to move computer every time you need an extra port. Would definitely recommend purchasing this product.
I just received my hub today and overall I am very pleased with it the craftsmanship and quality is top-notch and installation was a breeze however one issue I have and I'm not sure if it's just for my unit or an overall issue of this product. Now before I begin I did reach out to customer support and I am waiting for their reply.I can use the micro SD card and the SD card but not simultaneously. It is either one or the other. If the micro SD card is inserted it will read it but it will not acknowledge if an SD card is inserted. I have to eject the micro SD card and then insert the SD card for it to be read. And vice versa. Again as I stated I'm not sure if this is just an issue of my unit or overall a problem with this hub. This clamp hub fits the MAC chassis without any issues. I have the blue MAC model (most popular), and the hub's color matches and complements the MAC screen's border. The hub is solid and works very well. I was initially concerned the hub's location (on the bottom) would interfere with an internal speaker, but there is no problem.
Design is ideal for iMac M1. Prefer front loading to inputs to fiddling around the backports to try and secure USB-C connection. My only caveat for buyers is that the USB ports (not USB-C) seem to be a little tight. By that, I mean it takes a little effort to get devices connected to the hub. All three ports required a bit of a nudge to insert flash drives. Beyond that, it's quite complimentary to my new setup.
Anyone with a new iMac should have a serious look at this usb hub. The construction is first rate…it’s a quality product from a quality oriented company. I think Apple should be supplying this hub with every new iMac!
Elegant design and just what I am looking for — except that the short cable on the hub fits into the front of the screen on the right side of the Mac. This means that I don't have much room to mouse with three cables sticking out over the mouse and keyboard — manageable but awkward.
I am very satisfied with the hub. It facilitates the plugging of usb sticks immensely and is also safe and durable to attach to the Mac. I highly recommend it.
