I have tried using this clay at least 4 times. Iβve read the directions on the package each time. Pre-heat oven time 275, bake for 15 mins, etc. my clay can be in the oven for 4 minutes and starts burning and turning brown. I donβt roll it out too thin, and I watch it each time itβs in there. Iβve even tried baking at 200 and it still burns. Very frustrating and I will be investing in some different clay for sure.

I was expecting more of a sculpting clay. It was hard to form anything from the whole block. To form anything you had to take small peices and meld them together. Its not very soft and moldable.

I use different size cookie cutters to make decorations and jewelry for holidays and special occasions. Easy projects to do with my grandkids. They can make gifts and let their creativity shine.

I found this clay tucked away in my drawer. I wanted to sculpt more 3D jewelry elements and thought 'if it didn't work out, oh well'. I was pleasantly surprised at how well I was able to work with this material. No pasta machine needed, sculpted well, baked hard, sanded easily for refinement. It was then covered with veneers using Premo. This combination worked very well for me!!
I've tried using this product three times and each time the product comes out very brittle. The Granite is the only one I have this problem with. Perhaps it's the mix of small black pieces scattered throughout because the other Sculpey clay that I use remains flexible and strong once baked.
Excellent product. Very soft but not sticky. Molds well. Perfect terra cotta color.
I am just starting to sell art that I create and Sculpey has been a major component in me having the confidence in getting my art out there. I have been using your product for over a decade and am loving how it helps me make my handmade flowers and adornments. Fully recommend and have recommended Sculpey for a long time and will continue to do so for a long time to come.
I have been using the Original Sculpey for over a year now for Christmas ornaments, miniatures and jewelry. I very much like that it can be formed into anything that I can imagine, painted, tinted...anything that works with polymer. I also have a granddaughter, age 11, who has started making items with the Polymer Clay. It's easy on the hands, too!
This Sculpey is fairly easy to work with and requires minimal conditioning. The only downside is that the color gets all over your hands. Also donβt put it down on anything you like, because it stains almost immediately.
I have used original white Sculpey polymer clay for several years to sculpt small figurines. I have over two hundred now, cartoon and old movie and comedy characters, but Sculpey has become difficult to find now and far too expensive for me to continue using it. I'm now looking for a suitable replacement.
