It’s a little smaller than I was expecting based off the photos on the website but it is as advertised. Still works for what I need. Bag is well made and of good material. I do appreciate the white inner lining. That helps with seeing into the bag and less like looking into a black hole. I am able to put a queen size comforter, queen size pillow a bath towel and a beach towel inside and I probably could cram a pair of pants and long sleeve t-shirt if determined. My purpose for it is for boating/fishing, hunting and traveling. Shipping was quick. I would recommend this product.

Best dry bag I've owned and not many like it.

It's hard to find a drybag that is both durable and packable. Most durable dry-bags are a thick PVC material; those are great but don't pack down small. This 65L bag manages to be incredibly durable, and rolls up as small as my other 15L dry bags.Everything else about the bag is designed intelligently: great tie downs, oval shape, replaceable buckles. I've owned one for a few years and just bought a second. My first one is barely showing signs of use; I use it at least monthly on a SUP (fits an iSUP pump and carry bag really well, plus any extra clothes and snacks for the paddle)

I bought 6 of the 65 L Big River Dry Bags to hold all my gear for an extended wilderness river rafting trip in southern Utah. The bags were the perfect size and packed/stacked very well. There were no major rapids on the river and the bags were simply strapped down on the back of the raft. For such a long trip in a sandy environment, I think the Hydraulic Dry Bag would have been a better choice. Although they held up pretty well, moving camp each day and loading and unloading every morning and night sure took its toll on the bags. The temperature was also 100+ degrees and the loops on the side for strapping the bags down simply peeled off the bags. It looks like they were just held on with adhesive and the heat melted the adhesive and the loops became worthless. ... MoreI bought 6 of the 65 L Big River Dry Bags to hold all my gear for an extended wilderness river rafting trip in southern Utah. Dry Bag
22 June 2023

I thought I was purchasing a dry bag that was compatible with a dry bag sling from Sea to Summit, the bags manufacturer. Turns out bags made prior to 2023 are not compatible with the sling as there is no way to connect them to the bottom of the bag. Bags made after January 2023 are. I will be returning them after I get back from rafting the Colorado River, will go with a borrowed dry bag. Wish I had known that they were last years Sea to Summit Dry Bags would have saved some hassle. I like the bags and they're the color I wanted but if I can't carry them on short hikes after paddling into the canyon they're no good for me. Leaving in eight days so I don't think there's time for an exchange....

I have the 20 L and 35 L bags. I used the 35 L bag on top of my rear bike rack for touring/bikepacking on backroads in Scotland. I used the 35 L bag as it still fit on top of the rack. The 20 L would have held my stuff - barely. Having the extra space in the 35 L made packing easier though. Any extra space could be cinched down easily. With the Hypalon side loops I could secure the bag really well to the rack. The roll top closure snapped around my seat post for further stability. The oval profile of the bag made for a degree of stability on the carrier as well. The cloth was light enough for biking and heavy enough to take abuse - spot on. Well - more exterior loops would make attaching elastic webbing possible to stuff a jacket without going into packs. Some loops close to the roll top could make it easier to make a dedicated seat post attachment as well. A more squared off profile (rather than oval) with a flat bottom would make racking even better. I see enough of these bags on bikes already, that a dedicated bike model would work great. A volume less than 35 L and more than 20 L would work great (27.5 L I guess). No matter what you use this bag for, it's a superior outdoor product as is.

I've used Sea To Summit
16 December 2023

I've used Sea To Summit dry bags for many years... for as long as I can remember. I have about 20 of them in different sizes, color-coordinated for different uses. The Big River Dry Bags are very sturdy and abrasion-resistant, and I expect years of use out of the three new ones that I just purchased. In at least 15 years of using their heavy-duty dry bags, I've never had one leak.

Perfect go ANYWHERE bag.

I’ve been using the big river bag for my motorcycle touring now for 5 years and they hold up to the weather and the rough use I put these through. Now with this updated bag with the additional loops on its sides. This is a PERFECT bag with much more possibilities to attach anywhere on the motorcycle. Very happy with the bag and is my go to bag for packing. I have the 3/8/13/20/35 and the 65 liter river bags. YES, they are that good! Use these for motorcycle tours and kayaking.

Pretty Great Dry Bag
4 October 2024

The dry bag was really good, I ended up needing to buy another one but had little time to get one shipped that I picked up another sea to summit one from REI. I needed them both for a river trip and they held up really well, only got a little water in it once and it did end up getting really dirty on the outside. But they worked really well, looked super cool, and weren’t too bulky. Loved them! I’d maybe consider getting the strap for my smaller one next time.

I’ve used several of sea to summits lightweight dry bags in the past. The lightweight bags are great for application where abrasion is minimized but a susceptible to getting small holes in rough environment or after heavy use. The big river bag is the perfect heavier duty compliment to the lightweight dry bag for applications like kayaking, bikepacking and other adventures where you need to keep items out of the elements but where abrasion can’t be entirely avoided. I’ve used the 13L size in a few of my whitewater kayaks including my half slice and it a great size to slide behind the seat. Never had a drop of water get in.I like the 13L size, it could easily fit a sleeping bag and a light layer in it. seems rad so far
26 April 2023

I'm stoked on the construction and features of this guy - the reinforced base is awesome, as well as the daisy chain loops for tossing on the outside of a pack. I'm also excited to use it for bikepacking this summer, I think it'll be the perfect size to strap to my fork or maybe handlebars. I haven't had a chance to subject it to any real tough conditions yet and its mostly seen winter use, but its the perfect size for keeping my extra clothes for ski trips and holds air well for the one time I went nordic/wild ice skating and wanted to add a bit of buoyancy to my pack. Luckily I didn't have to test its waterproof-ness, but I've had another big river bag for years and if the quality is the same then its gonna be awesome if it ever does get splashy.

The first choice in dry storage for hardcore adventures on land and water. Lash to kayaks, bikes and 4WDs with confidence, or add a Dry Bag Sling for comfortable hands-free carrying. Big River Dry Bags are a durable and abrasion resistant option that uses a strong 420D nylon fabric. If your idea of outdoor recreation involves rugged water sports like kayaking, canoeing, rafting, or motorcycle touring, they are the perfect storage bags to keep your gear dry. A white interior laminate affords greater visibility, and lash loops allow secure stacking or attachment to watercraft, motorcycles and other equipment. The hypalon non-wicking roll-top closure keeps water out, and the Field Repair Buckles can be replaced in seconds with just a Philips screwdriver. It also was designed with an oval base to save space when packing and prevent it from rolling away.
