I would buy this product again only for the intended use of two SeaToSummit backpacking, mummy shaped air pads as stated on the product package. This does not fit the Alps Mountaineering Outback pads. They are 30ā wide and 4ā thick. I had to use both the upper and lower webbing loops together to reach around them on just the upper part of the pads. I do feel the webbing is too narrow. After putting it on my mattress pads I noticed the webbing continued to spin on itself and not lay flat. Again, Iām sure this is to cut weight for the intended use of backpacking with a lightweight item in mind.

I was a bit concerned it would not work properly for sleeping with my girlfriend on two different pad.We moved from a double size Klymit mat to dual EtherlightXT Large + ExtherlightXT Women Large and had no issue keeping pads nearby. We used Nemo Disco sleeping bag zipped together.Overall this allowed us to use better pad (dual 25" wide) and improve our sleeping experience (Etherlight XT with 4 inch thickness) while keeping weight distribution option.

I bought this strap as a stocking stuffer for my partner and have not had an opportunity to try it out yet. That said, I think we will be quite happy to have it this summer. We like to sleep side by side but find that our inflatable sleeping pads tend to move around in the tent. This will hopefully stop that from happening! The quality seems good and it's a good price when on sale for what I think is a "luxury" camping item.
Works very well at holding two mats together. Even if you sleep right in the middle. You can also use it to stack mats for winter camping. It is very light and fairly easy to use. If you buy two sets, you can chain them to tie two double mats together to sleep four.
A perfect and simple solution for those with different sleep needs and far less weight than getting a double mat for those couples trips. Easy to use, though detangling/re-folding to store was a little reminiscent of organizing christmas lights.
Looking forward to trying these more this summer when camping season comes around. My wife and I both have Sea to Summit sleeping pads, but haven't found they work well together. these seem like they're going to do the trick, though time will tell.
I purchased this coupler after a 12 day expeditions where I wish I had something similar. Some of the places I camped were less than ideal and we found the mats shifting during the night.The coupler is an inexpensive and simple solution to the problem. It only weighs 20g so it doesn't break my back.Time will tell on durability but I expect it will do the job for a long time.
OK so I had to google how to use the buckles as it didn't come with instructions (novice camper). Easy to use, comes with 2 ribbons to use for the top and bottom of the mats. Works well with a rectangular and mummy shaped mat. Lots of extra ribbon so not to worry about width of your mat.
used it to put together two mattresses which are off different thickness and length. It works well. During the day I can "fold" the two mattress into half to give some space to the tent. A plus compared to a double mattress.
