Really rugged and well-designed. Great, solid strap-points at corners. Spout/opening seals well enough to enable this bag to function reliably for extra water storage on a backpack (though I wouldn't put it IN my pack). Impressive and well-thought-out. I highly recommend for car camping or as added "insurance water" for dry backpacking. Beats my old "hang bag" by miles for weight, durability, and design.

Let me start by saying I own 4 different water storage bags and this is by far the easiest to handle. Has loops on top and bottom for easy switching from filling to pouring. The valve is super easy to operate and provides plenty of water flow. When im done I simply just empty it and fold it for easy storage.

I do a lot of multi-day river trips on my SUP, and this bladder is the best way I’ve found to transport my water. It can be strapped to the board, and I put the tap at the edge so I can easily use it without ever unstrapping it. The low profile and secure corner loops mean it’s never sloshing around or knocking me off-balance! It’s also incredibly easy to use and to clean. I’m on year three and haven’t had a single problem! Thanks for a great product.

I got this to replace some older style backpacking water storage bags. I haven't used it yet (have leak tested it) but it appears to be well made and the handle features are far superior to the old style ones (not sea to summit brand) I had been using (retired because they eventually started leaking). The only down side may be that it is a little heavier than the old style (which can no longer be found anywhere, per my searches)
I received one of these from a friend, and have had the most difficult time removing the cover to refill it. It appears to be impossible to remove, even with tools. The piece that should be removable may have melded to the rest of it?! It's incredibly frustrating to have what otherwise would be a great product be completely non-functional.
got one of these about half a year ago and first used it for cold water. Liked the light weight to content ratio and also the nifty one-hand-operation. Many hikes with the pack tap in my backpack showed no problems or leakage. The outlet was so controllable, you could easily fill a small-mouthed pop bottle from the pack-tap without (much) spilling. However, I would have liked to use the tap for hot water also, to have a hot water bottle in my sleeping bag and a supply of not frozen water in the morning. While Mylar is supposed to be hot-water proof, the tap valve apparently isn't. After giving it a try with about 95°C water, the bladder and casing seemed ok. After cooling off and drying out, the tap valve had become hard and showed some bubbly deformation, plus it ... Moregot one of these about half a year ago and first used it for cold water. Choosing a pack tap bladder is tricky. We want to use ours in camp and refill it from other more unwieldy bladders as we go. We bought the 4&6 litre bags. The six litre Pack Tap is a much better fit as it lasts more than one day. Good product!
Just tried this out. I am pleasantly astounded by the water having zero added flavour from the mylar or whatever it is. Love the feel, shape and functionality. I would buy again.
While backpacking on Cumberland island, my water source was further away than I’d prefer. By collecting water once and pouring my full clean water bottles into this, I could stockpile more water to avoid having to make several trips to fill my filter bag! I just hung it from a tree next to camp and used it throughout the weekend with no issues.
We had 2 Pack Tap 10L bags. Normally, we use a hard plastic water container (5-6 gallons). We still kept that for this trip, but we then added the Pack Taps to hold water. We typically tried to carry a lot of water (5-8 gal) because we were primitive camping and wanted to be prepared.Pros:- Pretty easy to fill from different sources. We ended up not using our hard plastic water container much for daily use because of the greater ease of using the Pack Tap.- The spigot was nice for filling containers, brushing teeth, washing hands, rinsing dishes. Easy 1-hand use when hung.- It was easy to handle with the handle straps or just carrying it like a baby.-It was neat how we could set it in the back of the Jeep with the spigot up when travelling. It formed to the available space. We also cinched it to a hard case. 10L was enough for a day.- We could hang it on our hi-lift jack on the Jeep, very accessible.Cons:-If you are in a place without a hanging spot on your vehicle or in the desert/place without trees, you may have a hard time finding a place to hang the bag for optimal use.-The dust cap was a bit awkward. It would fall down under the spigot when filling items.-Larger opening to fill the bag. Many places that had wells or water fill-ups had larger spigot nozzles. Also, a larger opening would allow for ice.Overall, we ended up using the Pack Tap as our primary water container. We ended up calling them the "water stingray" because of its shape.
