While the bag does save space, it does not fit into the provided packing 'cube" designed to fit the space-saving day pack. It is frustrating to struggle getting it out of the pack and then frustrating to try fitting it back in. I think a rubber band would be better than the provided packing case/cube. Also, it's definitely space-saving which is useful when trying to live out of a carry-on, but it is also see-through. If you carry items you do not want to lose to hotel room thieves, you would certainly catch the eye of a pick-pocket. Or if you don't want your cell phone or camera to be vulnerable to bag-slicer thieves, you probably would like to carry a bag less revealing.

I love how this little pack collapses into something so tiny! It comes with a little carabiner to attach to your larger pack. I've used this from everything to day hikes to gym trips. My favorite usage of this is carrying water back to camp, it's lovely not having to fully unpack / haul my full pack to go get water or climb up to a vista. The only problem I've had with it is that the stitching around the drawstrings on the attached stuff sack is quite delicate. I was disappointed to discover it frayed and tore after only a couple of weeks of use while backpacking. I ended up sewing it back together with a needle and some thread, and it works fine again. I plan on being more mindful when I restuff it in the future, there's definitely an order to it. I'd be happy to ... MoreI love how this little pack collapses into something so tiny! I'd be happy to have it be just a little bit heavier or a little bit larger when packed to make it more easily fit into the stuff sack.Great product overall, do recommend. I hope Sea to Summit releases a video / tutorial on the unique little way it's best to repack it.

Great packability, but not super impressed with the product overall. First the bag is very translucent and I wasn't expecting that. Seems sturdy enough for a light gym bag, but not good for any real activity with moderate movement as the straps don't keep the pack securely in place. Beat myself up pretty bad jogging down a mountain with a water bottle and a rain jacket being the only content of the bag. If you're just using it for around town walking or light biking this pack will probably work fine (groceries, rain gear, etc...). The carabiner is convenient for carrying the packed down version of this product. As for weight, it feels like nothing on your back, so I can see some scenarios where this pack might come in handy.

I have been pretty darn happy with everything I have purchased from SeatoSummit thus far and this little guy is no exception. How this daypack can fit in that little pouch is an optical illusion. This pack will be on the Camino with me. I will not need to bring an extra bag for groceries. This daypack will suit me just fine for going to the market for food (they don’t give out plastic bags at the markets in Spain, which is a good thing!), packing my change of clothes to the showers and any other short day trips in the bigger towns (to the Guggenheim in Bilbao) I am also thinking that it could be the perfect small pack if I wish to send my Gregory pack on through the Spanish Correo to give my hips a break for one or two days. I looked at other lightweight day packs, but the SeatoSummit daypack left the rest in the dust as far as weight goes. Every ounce counts when you’re walking 500 some miles. Plus I got it on a sale form the SeatoSumit website. As most things I own, I treat this little guy well and I will not overload it just to test it out, I’ll just put what I need for the day (4 to 5 pounds) should be just fine. Love the color too (dark teal).
I love this very lightweight daypack, which packs into its own pill-bottle-sized stuff sack! It is perfect for taking along as an extra bag when traveling, running errands, biking or boating, as it really takes up no space when stuffed into its tiny, attached stuff sack. I use it for running errands, casual day hikes, and picking up a few groceries when we are off on the boat. It is great for carrying wallet, sunglasses and an extra layer. It is not good for heavy loads, as straps will dig into shoulders. but as an extra bag for incidentals while traveling or errands it is perfect! Have taken it to Italy, Alaska, and on our boat cruising the New England coast. Have taken it to Italy, Alaska, and on our boat cruising the New England coast. Liked it so well that I gave one to my son when he went to Kazakstan, and HE loved it (he travelled for 3 weeks with a 20L "day pack" and this sea to summit day pack). I have had mine for over 5 years and it has held up very well, with no problems with stitches or zippers, as other reviewers have mentioned. I am giving another one to a friend for an upcoming trip. And I may just get another one for myself so I can leave one in the car! It's that handy.
This is an extremely thin, light bag with backpack straps. It is purely a backup for when you need to carry some extra stuff and want your hands free. I had no problem stuffing it back into its little stuff sack, which serves as a small interior pocket when bag is deployed. Just use your thumbs to stuff it- tight fit but doable ( I am a 63 yo woman). I use it for travel and on scuba trips when I need to carry small items onto the boat- anything that must be dry goes into another seatosummit dry bag, then into the backpack. I can't see using it as a daypack with any weight in it, there is no structure or any padding. It is a fancy shopping bag with a zipper, shoulder straps and a bit of water resistance. Perfect for how I use it.
I love this daypack. I keep it with me almost all the time when I am traveling. I carry a much larger backpack or briefcase in general, and I stash this inside. I move around lots (I live and work in New York City, my wife lives and works in San Francisco, and we also travel). So the purpose of this daypack is to be handy for overflow. It is perfect for that purpose. The main benefit is it tucks into its own built in bag. It also is stronger than you might suppose. The only downside is a simple consequence of what it is; as with characters in Greek tragedy, its strength is its weakness. The issue is it is very thin and has no padding. So whatever is in there, its shape will push against you and be felt on your back.
This bag is super light and packs crazy small. there are no internal components besides the bag it folds itself into. So no pouch for bladder or any organization. The straps are wide enough but easily squish to a thinner size however they don't dig into your skin, just kind of annoying. At first I thought it would be uncomfortable but took in on a quick 3mi hike with a few water bottles, hoodie and a few misc items and I was very pleased with how it worked out. I tested with a bladder and it just kind of lays at the bottom but then I found a hole and it started to leak so I couldn't fully test it. There is no hole for the bladder Jose either z you'll just have to leave the top unzipped a little and use a small tie to keep the zippers from separating, a bread tie or ... MoreThis bag is super light and packs crazy small. there are no internal components besides the bag it folds itself into. A few cons for sure but overall very happy
I bought this to use an extra bag for a European trip since I planned to only travel with a carryon. It’s small & light and seems to be perfect for the task. It would also work well as a day pack for backing when you want to leave your full pack behind and hike a side trip or use in town on resupply. I really like that the stuff sack is sewn into the seam in the inside of the pack preventing me from losing it. My only gripe is that that tiny stuff sack, while great for marketing (look how tiny it is!) is just a little too small for the backpack. Good luck getting that genie back in its bag. It can be done, but you’ll have some wicked thumb cramps.Seemed a little pricey for what it is, but not enough to be off-putting for me, I guess.
I bought this bag for bike packing. It's a great way to temporarily add storage on your trip. Now, it's found a ton of use as a spare bag in almost every travel scenario. I keep it in my car for last minute day excursions. It's so compact, it fits anywhere, and you don't have to second guess whether or not you should grab it.Because it's so lightweight, it doesn't have a ton of features. Also since it has no rigidity, getting stuff in and out of the bag can be fiddly. But those are small prices to pay to have a backpack whenever you need one.
