This drive was super easy to install. The NVMe was instantly being detected in its M.2 slot and was easy to get formatted and start working. Now my PS5 is able to store 2TB (or roughly) worth of games! Seagate Game Drives are trustworthy. As for heat, nothing too high thanks to the included heatsink. And downloading games and loading from it have been relatively fast. Had it for almost a month and no complaints with it.

I guess I'll be the first to leave a review on this! I went to my local walmart to see if they had this one in stock and to my surprise it was on sale for $79 instead of the online price for $149. I immediately picked this one up instead of any external drive because i was worried about lag issues with any external drive for the ps5. It was very simple to install thanks to youtube videos and only required a screwdriver. As far as space, this does the job just fine. I'm able to download all the games that I play and more. I have about 7 games currently installed. which includes modern warfare. And I still have 1100 gb of free space. 500gb on my ps5 and about 600 on my seagate drive. I am impressed so far with the Seagate 1TB game drive. Once I figured out how to remove the PS5 cover, the install was a piece of cake. The formatting process was straightforward and it worked great afterwards. I love the fact I have some additional storage space now! Love the product and glad I got it.

Great buy! I had been searching and searching for the Firecuda but it never seemed to go on sale or be in stock for more than a day so it was pretty much impossible to buy. After researching this a lot it looks like this is basically a rebranded Firecuda minus the data recovery but also quite a bit cheaper. Other than that the specs seem identical. I have been using it for over a month now and it runs seamlessly.

But that's pretty universal for any tech. The connector seems like it could be easily damaged if not careful.Other than that, it's a great value for the amount of storage you get, and Seagate is a long-trusted manufacturer of hard drives.

Offically licensed for ps5 and cheaper than western digital. Got it on sale for 149.99. Easy to install like most. No problems loading or transferring games. Was expecting a little higher read speed sonce it’s licensed by sony. I think it was around 6500 which is still more than enough so no complaints for the price.
Installing it to the M.2 slot was soo easy. The PS5 detected it quickly and we got it formatted. We’re soo happy with the extra storage because, if you know you know, these games take up space quickl! It’s a plus not having to constantly delete to make extra storage. Highly recommend as a gift to anyone who games, more space is always appreciated!
I absolutely love the M.2 form factor, and I'm very happy they included an M.2 storage expansion slot on the PS5. Seagate is a reliable brand, and this particular PS5 "game drive" is not an exception to that rule. Super solidly built, well packaged, great installation instructions (don't drop that teeny tiny screw though!), and works great with the PS5 operating system - everything worked fine on the first try and we were up and running in no time. My only regret is that I wasn't able to get the 4TB version - 1TB is not at much space as you think these days thanks to some game devs (**coughactivisioncough**).
It works as intended. Easy to install and while I was looking a different brand which they didn't have at the time, this serves its purpose perfectly all the same. No issues at this time, will recommend for other gamers as far as SSDs go. Not really possible to show pics since it is installed into my PS5 as of right now.I will say that I was trying to get a 4 TB for WD Black but, the sale was over and there was only a sale for 2TB at the time with no stock.
