Loving my E22. I have a 8km round trip commute each day, and the scooter is so much better than public transport. I ride up Queen or William St from the river, and the sports mode manages the incline without issue. The E22 has a top speed of 20km/hr which is fine for the commute, and a range of 22km. My longest adventure has been 12km (including a top speed lap around Albert Park) and the battery got down to ~40%. The sales pitch describes the E22 as a great beginners scooter, and for what I need it for, it is perfect. Very happy with the purchase, and very happy with the service from Electric Kicks.

This scooter is pretty good as a beginner e-scooter for anyone looking to commute or just have some fun around the block. The scooter is easy to set up and get riding and it has decent range and speed.I own a higher end model of the segway e-scooter and compared to that one the e22 has inferior build quality. There is a lot of flex in the steering column when breaking and acceleration which you can clearly feel when on the scooter. It may perform better with a lighter rider but I am well within the limits of this models rider weight. The speed is also not at fast as other scooters which is good for beginners but you will soon be left wanted more speed and acceleration. The range is good to get around town or even go for a nice long ride around the ... MoreThis scooter is pretty good as a beginner e-scooter for anyone looking to commute or just have some fun around the block. The scooter is easy to set up and get riding and it has decent range and speed.I own a higher end model of the segway e-scooter and compared to that one the e22 has inferior build quality. I got this on sale for $500 almost a year ago. It just doesn’t say verified purchase because I got it on my old account. Ok, I’ve seen this go for $1000 on Best Buy. It does go 17.6 mph (rounded to 18 on the dashboard). Riding it is very smooth, and the best part is that the tires are solid, so there’s no way you’re getting a flat tire. The headlight and taillight are very bright. Also, the baseboard has lights which are customizable to several different colors on the Segway app. Charges on an ok speed. I did have an issue after a while, and Segway was very quick and cooperative with my situation. This scooter comes with a one year warranty, and if you get yours replaced, the replacement has a 3 month warranty. Overall, a great buy!

This is very fun and practical at the same time. When I got the box I imagined a lot of work putting it together, but was pleasantly surprised when I opened it to find it mostly put together, only had to attach the handlebars which was a breeze. From the time I opened the box until I was riding was under 10 min. This scooter is extremely well made, sleek, and fairly large, that makes it a little on the heavy side if you need to carry it around for any distance. Braking works alright, but if you had to come to a complete stop very quickly it may be hard to do.The ride is nice and comfortable on hardtop, such as asphalt or cement, it will run in the gravel fairly well but it can be a bit rough of a ride, it is definitely built for riding on hard surfaces. It accelerates very well, Im $250lbs and it took off and hit top speed of around 20km an hour easily. With 16 yr old daughter, it got up to top speed a little faster but still maxed out around 20-25km/hrIt comes with a bell which is not the best bell I have seen for a bike, but it works, it has an LED front light which throws a lot of light for its size, and has a rear braking light which also glows on and off when charging. It has a nice digital display which is very easy to see in the daylight, the throttle and brake control is thumb operated and comfortable to useThe handlebar folds down easily for travel or storage,so it's fairly compact; it could be placed in a closet, under a bed, or in the trunk of a car. The deck is a nice size that fit my size 12 feet without an issue, its textured and seems to have lots of tractionThe scooter is a kick start, so if you just push the throttle at a standstill it wont go, you need to kick off on it like a regular scooter , it works well as a safety feature as you won't accidentally hit the throttle and it takes off. This is a very good scooter for a student to get around on, or even to get to work in urban areas. Some specs700W electric motor produces a maximum speed of 25 km/h (15 mph5200 mAh lithium ion batteryCharge time: 3.5 hours100-240V Input and 42V Output / 71W ChargerMaximum range: 25 km (15 mi.) on a single charge
I was somewhat skeptical to try this scooter out as living in a small town I didn't necessarily see a huge benefit. However after using the product I have to say, I'm hooked.I started out just using the scooter while riding around town with my kids as they biked. I would consistently hit a top speed of 21 km/h and battery life was surprising good. Segway also sells an add-on battery pack so for longer trips or usage I would recommend it. Or just make sure you have the charger with you. Charging the device from low took a few hours but it would be great to take to work in the AM, charge all day and be ready to go home. The best thing about this scooter has to be the build quality. This thing is a TANK. Feels sturdy and strong while riding on pavement and the deck is a good size with room to maneuver if necessary. However along with the impressive build quality will come some weight - the scooter comes in around 30lbs and when folded it's not the easiest thing to carry. It does have a nice low profile when closed up though so taking it into the office or hoping on a bus is no problem.Overall this is a great unit at the price point and anyone using it for fun, travel, transportation or even sightseeing won't be disappointed.
This scooter is absolutely wonderful, but the weight limit is actually 220lbs in the user manual unlike the 250lbs that the target app says. It’s also not as water resistant as I was lead to believe, so definitely don’t ride this if it’s going to rain or sprinkle. It’s resistant against minimal water exposure, so don’t go riding in puddles either. However, in dry weather this is fantastic and it gets me to my work in under 10 minutes. The app it connects to is really cool, the headlight is strong, and the scooter itself is definitely made of sturdy and quality materials. The first two speed modes are great for cruising, but I’m just crazy because I love this thing on sport mode. It goes 13mph which is wonderful and I cannot wait until I get the external battery pack ... MoreThis scooter is absolutely wonderful, but the weight limit is actually 220lbs in the user manual unlike the 250lbs that the target app says. The first two speed modes are great for cruising, but I’m just crazy because I love this thing on sport mode. It goes 13mph which is wonderful and I cannot wait until I get the external battery pack for it. I should also note that this thing performs at its best in cool weather and smooth pavement even though it can handle some bumps and cracks. I’m just bummed that it’s not more water resistant than I thought and that it feels slightly slower in hotter weather. I also wish this was able to hold more weight. I am way less than 200lbs, but some friends and my dad can’t ride it without it getting slower or having a risk of damaging it. I do get a lot of compliments and questions about this scooter so be prepared for people to go nuts over it lol. It is fun and convenient given that outdoor conditions are right. Information on this scooter from different sources have some slight inconsistencies, but it’s still a quality purchase.
Im a heaver rider....less than 220. The neck at the steering column is getting loose. I expected less battery life being close to the load capacity of the e22. 1/2 a mile works the battery down 30% from full. Haven’t taken it more than a 1.5 miles....58%. Not sure I could recommend this unit to anyone. Thinking about the extended battery....heavily weighing this option as the cost is $260. Quite disappointed at this point. Segway/ninebot may want to reevaluate the 13.7 mile range this unit is claimed to run with a 165 pound rider at 60% power. Long story short.... I believe this unit is for Kids. Used Bird scooters in Cedar Rapids that crushed this scooter. Its still fun, but currently not worth the price. To top it off the extended battery has bad reviews. Worked great, until it had just over 100 miles on it. At which point, it's speed and range suffered a significant drop. Even with the extended battery pack, the shortest travel on mostly level ground, with less than 200 lbs. load reduces battery level to less than 40% charge from 95% at start out. Only ridden a couple of times a week for commute, but battery charge continues to drain when not being used. All this means now is I have the hassle of contacting technical support to determine whether it is a fault of the user or the product. On a product that is less than a month old!
After a little over 100 miles performance has dropped way off. A short trip on mostly level (approx. 10 miles) ground runs the charge to less the 40%: that is with the extended battery pack installed. Scooter is only used a few days a week for commute, but, manages to drain the battery although idle. Scooter does not seem to be drawing from extended battery pack when needed. These facts plus along with the additional hassle to have to contact technical support. I cannot give this product any better than a 2-star rating.l
This was my first escooter. I became disabled and considered power wheelchairs or mobility scooters. In the end this was a great choice. I could ride short distances with the seat initially. Then longer distances. Then tried standing for short distances and over time got to commuting while standing and feeling free and liberated! I know if my ability changes I can swap the seat back in. Just sitting on it puts my mind in a positive place. It’s lightweight so a friend could lift and fold it, and now I can manage that too. No, it’s not as comfy as a moped, but it’s easier to move and store. This is what life is about—products that adapt to us and give us joy in our day to day, no matter who we are.
