My Bose headphones started to deteriorate after daily wfh use all through pandemic. I needed a new pair of headphones but couldn't afford another Bose. After a lot of research and reading reviews, these Sennheiser ones seemed like a best option for what I wanted (over ear, wired, with mic). They are very decent for the price. These are not headphones for audiophiles. They are solid headphones for work, or watching TV/streaming when you don't want to disturb your partner. My only complaint is that compared with my Bose headphones these are MUCH bulkier and MUCH heavier. It will take a little getting used to but at 1/3 or 1/4 the price, no complaints.

Sennheiser is always top notch sound quality. Out of the box, these are pretty flat in that there isn't a ton of bass, but they sound good. I installed a free EQ in Windows to up the bass a bit (my built in soundcard as well as my SDAC headphone setup doesn't have any way to EQ directly). This improved the sound a bit as I do like a little more bass in my music. That said, probably the main issue for me is one of comfort. I find that these either don't fit my head very well, or the ear cups that come with them are just uncomfortable on my head for too long. Within 30 minutes to an hour my ears are kind of sore, and the cups aren't directly resting on my ears either. Not sure if it's due to a bigger head than average, or the ear cups are just that material that isn't ... MoreSennheiser is always top notch sound quality. I would say these fit the $75 to $100 range as I have had a few head phones in that range that sounded as good and were more comfortable. For this price, probably the best I have had are the Drop HE4xx planar headphones. The sound is better and they are more comfortable by a long shot. Just to give a comparison.

The sound isn't exceptional for my purposes, but it's perfectly acceptable. The build quality is very good and the headphones are fairly comfortable, though they fit a little bit weirdly the first time you put them on, with some plastic around the back of your ears.Very affordable for Sennheiser, and after a month of use with no issues, I feel confident in saying that the quality is still as expected. Some headphones at the $100-$150 price point will break after about six months of hard usage - these are not one of those. You get what you pay for in general, but if you're looking for a quality and long-lasting pair of headphones at this price point, the HD 569 is a very good pick

Simply the best value. Every dollar goes towards the audio experience with Sennheisers. Strongly recommended for gaming and tunes.I have both these (closed back) and a pair of HD558 open back headphones. I would recommend the closed back for most people, because the soundstage is still really dynamic while providing good passive cancellation. The open back versions are incredible for 3D audio, but small, close sounds in games get lost and there is no cancellation of ambient noise.
Awesome ordering experience with Audio46 - I'm extremely satisfied with the process and my item was delivered very quickly. Great job.As for the Sennheiser 569s, I'm kind of disappointed - I was expecting a more bass impact with these headphones, but without huge EQ adjustments, they don't really leave me particularly impressed. I kind of wish I would have saved my money to buy something better, but I guess I'm stuck with them. To those considering these headphones, if bass is a priority, look elsewhere.
My favourite headphones. My criteria in my search for a good pair was that they had to fit over my ears, have a single, removable (and easily replacable!) wire, comfortable enough to wear all day, have decent sound quality - all at an affordable price point. These meet or exceed all of my expectations. In a world where every manufacturer is pushing out either wireless models or junk with unremovable wires to one (or both! AHHH) earphone, the Sennheisers are a blessing. The sound quality blew me away, although I admit that I have peasant ears. I'd never experienced music with headphones of this quality before. There are only two things I would change: 1) I wish the cable going into the headphone wasn't proprietary. A standard 3.5mm audio cable will not fly on the end ... MoreMy favourite headphones. There are only two things I would change: 1) I wish the cable going into the headphone wasn't proprietary. A standard 3.5mm audio cable will not fly on the end that goes into the earphone. So you have to buy a cable with the proprietary Sennheiser pattern. I don't like this, but at time of review, these cables are widely available for cheap online. That's good enough for me, but I wish I could buy any old cable. Buy a replacement cable ahead of time so that you're prepared when the wire eventually wears out. 2) I wish they could fold for easier travel. This isn't a dealbreaker at all, but I already have a carrying case for my previous headphones. This means that I eitherneed to wear these around my neck at the airport, or always pack them on the top of my bag. Although, if I was in charge of Sennheiser's marketing, I would not address my concern and add a folding feature to lower end models. Make the cool cheap guys who wear the brand around their necks at the airport (like me!) advertise your product. I'm an influencer!! Yeah, these are really good. Highly recommended.
This product has a nice sound for me and I am not an audiophile. I listen to classic metal and classic rock. The only observation I can offer is that after an hour with the headphones on my fat head I start to feel the ear pad pressure. I have a set of Bose (soundlink II) that I can wear forever, but the they do not have the bass I sometimes need. The HD569 were a good purchase especially at the very low price I paid thanks to Bestbuy's price matching policy.
I've been hot and cold on Sennheisers, I have a pair of their older wireless RF home theater headphones that are not really that comfy (too wide), and too light on the bass, by far, but I don't really use them anymore. In any case, I already had end-game headphones, including my wonderful Hifiman open planar HE400Is, but I wanted something closed-back for portable usage, and these fit the bill. They really, really sound good, even right out of the box they sounded pleasing, comfort is great, lightweight build, closed-back, don't leak sound much, and the overall sound signature is bass solid, mids good, highs really, really good, and shimmering and clear. It may be true that the Sennheiser open-backs sound superior overall, but these are some of their better ... It may be true that the Sennheiser open-backs sound superior overall, but these are some of their better closed-back cans, by far. They sound warm, clear, punchy, and not too closed or claustrophobic. The bass is tight and punchy, but never overbearing. The highs are not strident, clear as a bell, but will not cause headaches! And the price is a steal. If you need lightweight, portable closed-back cans, these are some of the best you can choose right now. I also own the new Pioneer X7 DJs, and those are excellent too, although perhaps more for rock, dance music, reggae, techno, pop, etc., and the Sennheisers can handle anything with finesse, and they are selling for a lot less money right now. Don't even hesitate, if you need good light closed cans, for walking, portable, or even home pleasure music listening, the 569s are an excellent choice. My only complaint is I only got one really long cable with my pair, but you can easily pick up some shorter ones. I'm running mine at home on the Creative Labs G6 amp card, and on the go with a Fiio A5 amp, and both are bringing the best out of these phenomenal light closed-backs. Buy them now! I really think Sennheiser hit a home run with these particular headphones. And that's from an old time audio nut that is very picky about what he uses and likes.
first, the good:overall well balanced, engaging sound that doesn't cause fatigue.bass is very good -- no unnatural emphasis. I've heard better for rock and reggae -- the original Grado SR60's were great for producing an attack that just got you wanting to move (not so much the recent iterations, which I couldn't stand, with a treble so harsh I had to give up on them). but listening to modern electronic music on these senns is a pleasure. as is listening to celtic, bach, mozart, beethoven (symphonic and solo piano both), and big bands. I should add that I do all my listening from an HP laptop through an audiquest dragonfly (black, the bottom of the line) with an audioquest jitterbug too. I was skeptical of the latter but tried it as a low-cost mod, and the effect ... I should add that I do all my listening from an HP laptop through an audiquest dragonfly (black, the bottom of the line) with an audioquest jitterbug too. I was skeptical of the latter but tried it as a low-cost mod, and the effect after a couple of days, for me, was surprising and very pleasing, particularly on older big band recordings -- they just snapped into focus.treble likewise is well defined, without the famous "sennheiser veil" in my opinion.female vocals are solid. I use Mary Chapin Carpenter, whom I've seen live several times and whose recordings I know well, as an exemplar. If it was off, I think I'd know.I've had bad luck with some of the more expensive, open back Senns -- many broke down over time, particularly at the cable attachments, or lost one channel.I needed a closed-back set of cans, b/c even relatively quiet open-backed ones disturbed my wife even upstairs in our loft/office area. these don't, except when she's trying to talk to me from six feet away and I can't hear her because I have these on.They are incredibly efficient: I seldom have the volume above 11 on the laptop meter. I use them for zoom calls for work, sometimes with the cell phone too.I prefer old-fashioned over the ears phones to earbuds, they're less trouble to put on or off. some of the older senns (eg 600,650) were nearly impossible to drive from a computer.the less good:imaging just does not compare with, say, the 559, which I tried at the audio46 store before buying these. that's a much more fun set of headphones to listen to, although the bass does get a bit tubby at times which is a turn-off for me.they do have a bit of clamping force on the head. My phillips 9500's are infinitely more comfortable, and with the help of peace's equalization, more fun to listen to. without that eq, their treble hurts my ears. but they also leak so much sound that I just can't use them at home, which is a shame b/c otherwise they would be my favorite phones.comparison: I have an old (at least 20 years) pair of ATH-M50's, also closed-back that are more comfortable, since I recently replaced the earpads and put a custom replacement over the vinyl headband that was flaking black pieces of vinyl like dandruff (both available on the net), but I'm liking the senns better these days. They have more life, somehow.my favorite phones of all time were from Stax, the only cans i have ever heard that pretty nearly mimicked the sonic signature of my celestion SL600si speakers. but those really aren't designed for laptop or mobile listening.conclusion: these wouldn't be my top choice for an audiophile rig where bothering others is not a concern b/c you're locked in your man cave. That's why I am giving them 4 rather than 5 stars. For the real world, however, particularly the one I live in, I doubt I could do better for the price. also, I like the audio46 folks and their cramped but welcoming store. you cannot go far wrong when dealing with people who share your passion.
