I researched vacuums for months before settling on this one. It's incredible!Even though I vacuummed daily with my old vacuum, the amount of dust it pulled out of my rugs, carpets and couch is astounding.It's also much quieter than my old vacuum. The light on the head is super helpful. It is a tad heavy as some of the reviews say but it's still very easy to manoeuvre. I'm currently going through post partum hair loss and the brush roll is still perfect after weeks! If you drop a lot of hair this is for you.Absolutely recommend!

Very happy with this shark vacuum. This is the first upright I've tried, its so much quieter than a canister vacuum. It easily sucks up all hairs from my longhaired cat and the brush roll has never gotten clogged. The power of this machine is amazing. I love the lift away feature, makes it really handy to get under the bed and in those high places. The lights are probably not necessary but it really is handy when vacuuming underneath furniture to see where the dust is. I don't find it too heavy to lift or push, it's quite a nice height for a tall person. Easy to use, empty and store. Highly recommend!

I've been using a battery operated vacuum cleaner for years and didn't realise the lack of suction power until until I bought the Shark Vacuum Cleaner. It picks up everything first go and the canister can be removed to allow for cleaning under furniture. I also like that I don't have to hold the power button on and the light at the front. The drawbacks are; it has a long power cord, so you need spare power points and it is heavier than the old machine. I think the benefits far outweigh the drawbacks. 8/10

Overall quite sturdy and well made.Quiet to use.Easy enough to push - though could be heavy if you are used to a cordless type.Does a good job on both carpets and hard floor. Can’t turn the brush on and off, but the vacuum seems to transition smoothly enough for this not to be an issue.The head is on the small side. This does make it easier to get into tight spaces, but takes longer to cover open areas.The brush comes out and is easy to clean.The canister is easy to clean and empty.Cord is adequate, but could be longer.The lights at the front are a nice feature.
I have bought cordless Dyson vacuums for the last 5 years and they are versatile yet very expensive and the battery only lasts two years, so I decided to try a corded vacuum again. This vacuum does a great job of sucking up all of the cat hair in the carpet - so much more than our previous vacuum! The cord is also long so you don’t have to unplug it multiple times and the extra attachments mean you can do must jobs pretty easily.The downsides are that the vacuum is very heavy and clunky. I accidentally bumped it into a wall and took off a chunk of plaster! The canister is also on the small side so needs to be emptied half way through the job. I do miss the versatility of a cordless but it’s so satisfying to see everything this vacuum pulls out of the carpet!
Every other vacuum cleaner I've used has always become blocked on the roller with my hair. The Shark self cleaning brushroll does exactly what it says. No more hair getting caught on the roller...WOW can't believe it! For a vacuum it's a lot quieter than most but it also does clean the floor properly, nothing gets left behind with this sucker. So glad I decided to spend extra for a decent vacuum, if it keeps working the way it's going, should last a lot longer than the average vacuum. What can I say except that Shark stands up to its name, and now I know what all the hype was about. Brilliant! Love it!
The vacuum cleaner works as stated in many reviews and on the product website. My home has an equal distribution of hardwood and carpet flooring. It works very well on both surfaces. The vacuum cleaner's weight works to its advantage because it does a great job of deep cleaning the carpet and picking up all the dirt from the floor. I also cleaned up snack spills from the couch with the upholstery tool. It picked up the smallest crumbs. It has been a month since I purchased the product, and I am content with its performance.
Surprisingly quiet, cleans efficiently, however what does annoy me is the remaning cord when vaccuming does not stay wound, as catches too short to hold cable securely. Therefore vacuum runs over it. Hose collecting dirt has a catch/peg to hold it against vaccum however it keeps popping out, will need to make an elasticised band with press stud to hold it against the vacuum. Manoeuvring a little stiff/cumbersome however I'm sure this will improve with use. Suction is very good, overall very good product with a few quirks.

This Shark vacuum is approx $400 cheaper and a hundred times better. The suction power is amazing and the light on the head is so useful. If you're used to a cordless vacuum like I am it can take a bit of getting used to and perhaps tripping over a few times, but you get past that pretty quickly. I have a dog that sheds like there's no tomorrow and this vacuum is doing an amazing job of combatting that. The upholstery tool is fabulous, as is the little crevice tool. Unfortunately due to its size getting in any tight spaces does mean having to switch out for the crevice tool, but ... More100% in love with this product. I purchased this vacuum based on the reviews and now I am adding to those positive reviews. The suction on this machine is amazing! I have loop pile wool carpet that is 8 years old and I thought that the tracking in the high traffic areas was here to stay. This vacuum actually lifts the pile back to almost brand new, and the dust etc that came out of what I thought was a clean carpet was mind blowing. Some people have mentioned the weight of it but I feel this is more to do with the high suction rather than real weight of the machine. If you have a lot of carpeted areas don't think twice about buying this one.
