I bought this after reading many reviews. I had bought a steam cleaner a couple of years ago from Sams Club but eventually threw away due to handle being flimsy. This steamer is 1000×s better! I was showing my home and was fully prepared to get a professional come in and clean the grout. Turned this on and sprayed a little Clorox cleaner in grout floor loojed and felt brand new. I also noticed this one used less water so no streaks and floor dried instantly! Very happy with this purchase

Purchased this steam pocket mop system after reviewing several models of steam cleaners by Shark. I have mopped on two occasions now and enjoy doing this chore. I can use a regular mop much quicker but I feel my floors are cleaner using the steam mop. After reading several reviews I use distilled water only to fill my mop system. After plugging into power I let the mop begin to steam then pump the handle many times to get the mop cloth damp with steam then begin mopping. The floors dry quicker using the steam than with a regular mop. I would recommend this system. The only fault I could find, which isn't a problem, is the electrical cord feels lightweight.

I love this mop. I have the original, clunky Shark mop as well and it was just way too big and cumbersome. This one also seems to steam hotter than the original as well. It took me half the time to clean my floors with this more streamlined version than the original. Also, the spring loaded detach release button is so helpful to safely, sanitarily remove/replace the cleaning pads.

I really like this steam cleaner. It’s so easy to use and it is light weight for easy maneuver. It has three setting and a steam blast for removing stubborn dirt. It’s heats up making killing germs one if it’s main priority along with cleaning . It has easy removable pads with the click of the lever and they are easy to clean by throwing them @in the washer. Down fall when you need to empty the water tank is not removable, so I have to turn the entire mop to get all the water out ! It’s great fir tile floors and laminate an vinyl wood flooring .

Neither of these leave your floor soaking wet but it really cleans, I'm really liking this unit for this reason. I will mention while having the steam come out of the bottom I didn't see it but heard it, at first I was hesitant but it gives off the right amount of steam to get the job done.This unit steams non stop until you shut it off this would be the only negative, wish I purchased the one with on demand steaming, I think..possibly. So happy I went with this mop, this is my second time using it and it cleans better than my old floor cleaner without steam. I have pets and I'm thrilled this cleans so well with only distilled water! The first time I used it I didn't press the button thought because the light was blinking it was ready, this dummy didn't read the manual and it did a good job. This time I pressed the button after reading the manual and holly cow my floor looks even better than the first time, lol.If you have wood floors BUY THIS, I only wish I had sooner. Easy to use and does a great job. I didn't buy the corner adapter and don't miss it I just turn the mop sideways and it does a great job. Completley impressed!
I had a different Shark steam mop that got broken during our last move. I decided to replace it with the Genius steam pocket mop. I was not impressed with the cloth pads. They have rubber type nubs on it to safely scrub the floor. I don't think it works well. The cloths do not come clean even when washed in extra hot water with bleach. I have started using hand towels pinned onto the mop and that works better than the cloths that came with it.
I’ve had this for 1-1/2 years. It does not steam, only when it feels like it. When I first got it it started steaming in about 30 seconds. Then started taking longer to steam as time went on. Now I’m 28 minutes into waiting for it to steam and I’ve pretty much given up hope on it steaming. A lot of wasted time when I could have had my floors clean already. It’s out of the warranty period, my husband is very handy at fixing things, so he’ll take it apart and see if he can fix it. If not, off to the trash and I’ll have to find another brand. Don’t waste your money on this.
I have beautiful dark hardwood floors throughout my home I love, but they do show water spots and worst of all one of my dogs is obsessed with licking them. So strange. It makes such a mess and dries to a smeary spot. I used to use Swiffer wet mop cloths but they left a residue that actually attracts dullness and dirt soon after I did all that mopping. Seeing this product on TV I decided to try it. It was just what I was hoping for. My Genius is easy to use and has tons of steam that dries very fast. It is my favorite appliance . Now I have beautiful floors every day in spite of my dog. Also it is safe from residue chemicals. This item solved my floor problem.
