This design makes a sweet helmet sweeter. I?m surprised by how much more I like this over a solid black helmet. You can?t see it well in the pictures, but there is even more detail in the black areas with two tones of matte black

After researching helmets on the web and trying on some in stores, I figured I had found the best helmet to meet my needs which were quiet, quality and comfortable. I decided on the Shoei. After I put it on and sat on my bike, I was aware of the chin strap buckle cutting in to my throat area. I didn't notice this in the store as standing with it on is not the same as sitting in the riding position. I thought it might be minor but with it on for 15 minutes, I could not imagine a long ride with it digging into my neck. BRING BACK THE DOUBLE D RINGS!!! I returned it for a refund. It's also one of the heaviest helmets I have tried. Fit and finish is excellent.
Great helmet! This is my second one now, I wore my first generation one every day for several years while riding in Az. Very robust, durable and comfortable. After trying on and wearing several, I believe this to be the best modular helmet on the market!
Had a first gen Neotec before - this one is even better, with the possible exception of ventilation which doesn?t seem as good. Looks great (black with high viz yellow), fits really well, and is noticeably quieter. I was concerned about the dedicated SRL2 comm unit due to mixed reviews, and it does have a bit less base, but the clarity and overall sound are better than the Sena 10R I had in my old Neotec. Definitely recommend.
I like it so far, I wish I didn’t have to buy the smaller cheek pads. I wish it would just come with it, especially if you’re spending $800 for the helmet. It’s also a little bit heavy but the features are pretty good. Airflow is good too. I like the new strap style locking mechanism too vs the D ring style.
Found fit finish very nice solid open and closing of helmet. Vents have a nice quality feel to them .This helmet was bought to replace my old Harley modular that did it’s time in hell and help survive a head on accident.Concerns sena’s proprietary headset that fits this helmet is out of stock about every where plus will only play mono if tied with Harley sena whim . I could use two free wire set ups but cost mounting two external system bla bla bla . So I took apart Harley’s included wired headset and made work with no mods done to helmet.So I am 5’11” heavy build . Bought this helmet based on safety and noise. I've owned a Neotec and it was great. I was in the market for a new helmet. I use the SHARP ratings to evaluate the safety. I was also wanting a low noise helmet and I am very pleased. I wish helmet published a db level for their helmets. A very comfortable helmet. I do not like that Shoei has decided to team up with Sena for comms- I have Cardo Packtalk Slim and it does not fit in the helmet. Shoei should make an adaptor for the Cardo system.
Second Shoei modular. First is 6 years old and needed to be replaced. Liked it so much that I bought a second. And at this price if there was anything I didn't like I wouldn't have. My old one was fitting a little loose and I figured it was just worn. So I went to a brick and mortar to try on a med to check fit. It was so tight I got a headache within seconds. Store told me the liner would break in as much as a 1/4 inch, but no way would I last that long. Based on that my old large would be loose because of age. They didn't have a large and no yellow Separators. When the new one arrived from Revzilla I was surprised to see the yellow graphic is only on one side. Whats up with that?
