I was buying this knife as a gift for someone who might be getting into becoming a chef. However, I added a second knife of the same kind on the recommendation of a doctor of mine who loves to cook and loves these knives. My knives are getting old. This knife is fabulous so far. Cuts things like It was cutting butter: meat, bread, veggies, fruit.

I had not bought any new knives since our wedding 20 years ago. This one was less expensive than other similar 'high end' knives so I was a bit worried about the quality but it's been terrific - stays very sharp, easy to handle and it's beautiful. I also bought an Epicurean cutting board at the same time as the associate at C&B told me it was important to use a good cutting board so that the knife doesn't dull prematurely.

This knife was part of my first set of real kitchen knives. The handles are beautiful and blade extremely sharp. Definitely a buy-it-for-life item.
Very pleased with my purchase. My mother owns the same knife, given to her by her mother. It keeps an edge, easy to use, and sits comfortably in the hand.
Lightweight, sharp, literally good chef's knife
This knife is wonderful! Not even sure what I am supposed to be using it for but it chops onions so small, great for all vegetables; I have yet to try it with spaghetti squash that will be the true test because I love my fall root veggies and squash! It is so light and easy to hold. Love it!
After purchasing the bread knife several months ago, it highlighted the poor state of my 40 year old knives so I have purchased two additional and outed the old. Great service and great product
This knife is really well balances for a blade that is quite big. I like the wooden handle a lot as I feel like I have a good grip. Its super sharp. Hope it stays sharp for a while. Looks beautiful.
