Its a coating not a dye like stain

I am completely new to oiling and straining wood and was looking for something to put on our new door thresholds. This was perfect. It was very easy to apply with a brush and I was astonished that it had virtually no odour at all. I applied three coats as recommended and left each for more than 24 hours between coats. (One coat I left for over a week due to bad weather and I wrapped the brush in cling wrap and then al foil and it was completely fine). Even in the cold weather I was able to close the door after 4 hours and it was touch dry. I was pleased with the walnut colour and the lovely sheen.

The stain goes a long way when you're doing your deck. We thought we would use the entire tin but found we had halfefy when we finished.

Not the colour when it dried. I bought 2 pots and each were only half full!
Nice rich stain. Use the proper procedure to apply or you will have a uneven finish.
