Brought this machine as I wanted something that allowed longer washing times. Was hesitant about going back to a belt/agitator washer. Relied on Simpson name. But being single and not much washing gave it ago. Love the true quick 20 min cycle and it's sister the Daily 45min. The extended other cycles give great deep clean. However, for the price, shocked at the "dinky" appearance of the motor/works. Flimsy plastic bottom cover popped up into works at first use nearly wrecking machine. Seems very noisy after having a direct drive . Especially as no base now! The little plastic lugs it slid between useless. One small screw to hold other end. I don't think it's up to a 7kg load. Which I wash frequently. Sounds as though it struggles. Already do my queen wool quilt by hand. Too heavy for domestic washers. Doing the same for dogs quilts. Using this machine for my clothes or set of queen sheets only.

I bought this in June 2022 and it was decent for the first 6 months or so but now it often has E10 error codes come up. And with E10 you have to start a whole new cycle which wastes a lot of water. Even when new I would rarely get the issue but now its doing it all the time. Its not a level problem or water problem so will have to get a technician to come and look at it.

Bought this new Simpson few weeks ago. The old 7.5 kg Simpson washing machine just died one day. Presuming the problem is the circuit board as described by so many people when searching though the web we decided to get a new one.Surprisingly there were not that many brands to choose from. Not having anymore 7.5 we settled on a 7 kg machine. When delivered it was surprisingly much smaller and lighter than the old machine. Leveling the machine took a bit of time. Not helped by the diagram showing the adjustable legs on the side rather than the front. It now has incorporated a few useful cycles. Rinse and spin is one. The delay finish option is useful. So far so good. See how long this one lasts.

I am happy that I upgraded my old Simpson 6kg top loader to this Simpson 7kg top loader washing machine. The features are a little different to my early model Simpson, but after reading the instruction manual provided, any small changes became clear. I recommend that buyers read through the instruction manual to gain full understanding of the features, because they will be different to their earlier machines. Overall, very happy with it.
Bulid wise it reminds me of a plastic toy. Washes well due to having more choice of wash cycles and being able to extend them for really dirty or stained items. True fast cycle! Even with cold water. Only cons is the noise level. Getting used to its moans, groans and squeaks. Got spoilt with the previous direct drive beltless washer.
Our machine is about 2 months old and tangling washing up very tightly, the call centre kept advising me how to operate the machine, as I have had 3 prior to this Simpson I felt I had the skills to place washing in my machine! Finally after a 3 week wait for the service people, Our Simpson has a faulty clutch, which has now been ordered, we have to wash small loads carefully until they get the parts. The service people have been very good but I'm fairly disappointed as the top loader is brand new and obviously faulty from the factory. From my first call to Simpson it is now 5 weeks, is this good enough when we brought a brand new machine in god faith?
I purchased this product a few months ago and it does all I expected it to do. Plenty of features and the size is good. However, on small loads the machine will walk all over the laundry - despite the load between evenly distributed when loaded and the machine being level.Very annoying and loud - would not purchase again. Only ever seen this problem when the load has not been added correctly.
I bought this machine 2 months ago and do not like it at all. I have used Simpson washing machines for 50 years and did not hesitate to buy another when our last one ( aged 15 years) was rusting under the lid. Reasons I am not happy with new one are : spins too fast and cannot change spin speed. On Delicates cycle can only have cold water. Bashes clothes and I am shocked at the amount of lint being collected. Even on Delicates cycle clothes come out creased. The result is I am only using the Quick or Daily cycles, and would never risk washing any clothing I treasure in the Delicates cycle even if it is labelled machine washable.
In a 2-person house I would prefer a 5kg washing machine, especially as I only do small loads. (My husband picked this 7kg machine, not me). With the large 7kg machine: For me there is an issue with the long length of TIME using ELECTRICITY and WATER using with the pre-set time settings. With the 7kg machine: I only use the "QUICK 20" (minutes) setting to cut down on power and water usage. This "QUICK 20" pre-sets a Low Water setting but the water level easily accommodates towels or queen size sheets. With the "COLD" setting using the "Regular" and "Standard" buttons - it's pre-set to 1-hour, 3-minutes! Using the Fast button the time becomes 1-hour and by hitting the "Eco" button - the "COLD" cycle takes 1-hour, 6-minutes.With the "DELICATES" setting using the ... MoreIn a 2-person house I would prefer a 5kg washing machine, especially as I only do small loads. The original lid started cracking within the first month, then a second crack developed the second month, now a third crack in third month - all around the same area on the lid!
After owning a Simpson for 21 mostly trouble free years, it only made sense that when it died , to replace with another Simpson. .. Worst mistake ever, this new EZI 7kg is not a patch on the old one. Had a repairman out at the 3 week from new period, he told me the motor is not powerful enough to spin water out of clothes, they come out very wet to the touch.. Machine throws water onto the floor on a full wash, repair man said don't do full washes ???. Strips lint of clothes like you wouldn't believe, our clothes are not going to last long at this rate !. Wrecks machine washable woollens on Delicate warm cycle, fills first with HOT water straight into Machine and then must put cold on top. I know that Machine washable wool should only be in a Warm/gentle ... MoreAfter owning a Simpson for 21 mostly trouble free years, it only made sense that when it died , to replace with another Simpson. .. I know that Machine washable wool should only be in a Warm/gentle cycle. Have tried turning hot tap down low and cold on harder,, makes no difference.Apparently any Simpson Machine 10kg and above is supposed to be much better with a bigger motor. As pensioners we cannot afford to get rid of this machine, but as soon as finances allow, it will be out the door.So disappointed in my purchase and would strongly advise anyone thinking of getting this compact machine e - DON'T !!!
