Love the stages! My baby is like 100 percentile and still fits well. However, not worth it in my opinion. 1. Stickers most definitely do come off in the water. So if you do decide to get this tub, try to take the stickers off before using. 2. Honestly wouldn’t buy a tub anything like this again! Will probably just get the smaller seat with the holes in it. With anything that holds water, less is more. I don’t like the idea of a thick fabric being immersed in water. We do baths every day, so to wash or dry the sling every day is a pain. If you don’t, mold grows. I have lots on my to do list and that’s just something that’ll always slip my mind to do. 3. Taking the sling out and putting it in is incredibly difficult. I've been using this bathtub for 6 months now and I love it. It's the perfect size and I love how it grows with your baby. I'm currently in stage two and the sling was designed with careful thought. The hanging hook comes in very handy. This is an almost perfect product though. I would have the star plug at the bottom have a temperature color-changing feature that tells you when the water is too hot. Also, the mesh sling should be allowed to buy separately for replacement or have an extra one included with the tub. It smells bad no matter how many times I wash it and I have read reviews that it can mold. FIX THIS!!!The stickers inside the bathtub should be on the bottom. This is a great product. However, had I known how difficult it would be to get the warning stickers off I can honestly say I wouldn't have bought it.I liked the size and the hook on this baby bath and it fits in our bathroom space better than some of the other baths on the market. Do bear in mind that it's quite heavy so if you do plan to hang it, it'll need to be somewhere able to take the weight. However, the warning stickers are a nightmare to peel off! It took me an hour to take off each label. There are three. Why you need three labels next to each other warning you that babies can drown in water, I don't know! Why you couldn't put these labels on the base of the bath so you don't need to take them off (apparently they chip off in water and stick to baby's ... MoreThis is a great product. A lesson in how to take a great product and with one mindless action, replace the potential joy of the thing with an intense hatred for the hours of your life you'll never get back, the fingernails you've destroyed, and the shoulder pain from the repetitive act of peeling! If you don't mind three hours of scraping and peeling off miniscule amounts of sticker at a time, whilst offloading expletives to vent some of the intense anger you feel towards a blue plastic whale, then go ahead. But in hindsight, I wish I'd bought one second-hand, having let someone else do that!

Received this as a gift, it was very useful at first. We used it daily, cleaned it, and let it dry AND it still go MOLD all over the back of the sling. It is horrible!! Also, the warning sticking is located on the inside of the tub, no instructions to tell us to remove it before use, so I'm assuming it's water resistant. One day I noticed all these tiny particles in the bath water with my son in it, then I realized the sticker were slow deteriorating!! Luckily my son did not swallow the bath water. I am furious with the product, so disappointed!!!!!What a waste of product. I want to to return it for a new bathtub, but I'll just be throwing it in the trash.
This is by far the best tub I've used and had. I have 3 kids and I wished I had gotten this one sooner! I'ved used other tubs but I love this one better because it's one big opening, making it sooo easy to clean, there's no crevices where I have to dig and clean out. We've had this tub for over 7 months now and my baby girl still uses it! Never had an issue with molding, I make sure to take off the sling after every bath, and air dry. I throw it in the washer every other week (don't throw in dryer, let air dry). Lots of complaints about the warning stickers being inside and coming off once wet, my tip how I got mine COMPLETELY off with no residue is I took a hair dryer to it on hot. Do this before using/wetting. I constantly move the blow dryer around so it's not ... MoreThis is by far the best tub I've used and had. I have 3 kids and I wished I had gotten this one sooner! Lots of complaints about the warning stickers being inside and coming off once wet, my tip how I got mine COMPLETELY off with no residue is I took a hair dryer to it on hot. Do this before using/wetting. I constantly move the blow dryer around so it's not fixated on one area and after a few seconds I slowly peel. Don't rip it off all at once, slowly peel while using the blow dryer. There will be some sticky residue left but once I got the whole sticker off I used the same warning sticker and dabbed it on the left over sticky residue to make sure everything comes off and no longer sticky. The only thing that would be a bother is how hard it is to take the clips off from the tub once it snaps in. But overall very very happy with it, would recommend it to every parent who's looking for a baby tub.
So I decided to come on and write a review because the reviews were mixed when I purchased this tub. I love this baby bath tub! I had been given a Boon baby bath with my son and used that with him and also for my daughter until she was 6 months old, but I found she was getting too long for it and she didn’t seem to love sitting in it. I decided to try this one (Skip Hop whale) despite mixed reviews. I’m so happy I gave it a chance, she loves it! We are using the stage 2 and I wish I had it earlier for her and my son. She sits so well in it, and I love the material, it seems comfy for her. She seemed to enjoy her bath so much more last night, she loved kicking her feet which she didn’t do in the other tub. Also since she was more supported I still kept my hands on her the whole time but I felt more at ease and safer with her in it. Just made bath time such a more enjoyable experience for both of us! I did make sure I dumped out the water and hung up the sling right after and the sling seemed to dry out well, there was no odour or mild as others suggested but I will keep hanging it right after baths and washing it. I also only filled the tub with a little water (I never put much in) so it didn’t come up to the warning label, I’m hoping that will prevent the problem others spoke about as well. Anyway if you are thinking of buying this bath tub I recommend it, I’m so happy with my purchase.
Tub is great for newborn as the sling is perfect however, after a while it begins to stink. My entire bathroom started smelling like a wet towel. I attempted washing the sling a few times but the smell does not seem to come off. I even took out the noodles inside by slightly tearing the sling and the smell is still there. Also the removal of the sling to reposition is hard you really have to pull and tug hard. Another thing to keep in mind is the tub is not good without the sling. I attempted to wash my 4 month old with no sling however it was nearly impossible to hold him in there and bathe him. No support. Great idea however there should be a better option for the sling or at least replacement options available.
I have been using this tub for 16 weeks. The stickers flaked off early on, but they are gone now and don't bother us. My sling also hasn't gotten moldy like some others. My biggest complaint is that the 1st configuration wasn't useful for very long for my longer baby. He started kicking himself mostly out of the tub. We then had to switch to configuration 2 at 4 months, but it isn't supportive enough to keep him from wigging down into the tub and potentially submerging his head into the water. It hasn't happened but he sinks down so quickly that it easily could if my husband and I didn't both participate in bath time. We have to hold his butt in place in the sling so he doesn't slide down and drown in while the other bathes him. It just feels really dangerous for ... MoreI have been using this tub for 16 weeks. We have to hold his butt in place in the sling so he doesn't slide down and drown in while the other bathes him. It just feels really dangerous for babies in that in between stage of not sitting up alone but being too big for the newborn configuration. Perhaps if your baby is tiny and doesn't wiggle it wouldn't be an issue. It's unfortunate, too, because my baby loves the tub. He kicks and splashes and laughs...although that's what causes him to slide. We will be looking for a new option.I guess there's a reason it needs so many warning stickers.
I really loved this tub. Used it with my baby from NB to now 7 month. She loves taking baths in it ( not sure if it has anything to do with the tub or her liking baths). I have used stage 1 the whole time bc it was hard to give her baths on stage 2. She doesn’t mind being on stage 1 as it keeps her in a very relaxed position. The only things I don’t like: I washed the mesh multiple times and the smell just doesn’t seem to fully go away and taking the clips off is difficult so I usually use tools to press on it until I get the clips out. If it wasn’t bc of the whole smell situation I would have kept using this tub. I am going to buy a different tub now and see how it works out.
