My eyes do not close completely when I sleep. This makes them stay dry and very irritated when fine fuzz or dust creeps in. My eye doctor said I needed an eye mask that wouldn’t apply any pressure. I tried a few before getting this one. It’s by far my favorite. The elastic band doesn’t get tangled in my long hair. It also helps me get tired as well. The moment I put this mask on my face I felt the coolness of the silk and the space for my eyes felt lovely, no light peeking through. I do not have extensions, and this felt great on my face. However, I am a side sleeper and this mask was uncomfortable the moment I turned onto my side. Sadly I returned my purchase. I recommend this to anyone that is a back sleeper. I have the original Slip Silk Sleep mask and use that nightly.

If you're looking for a soft, gentle mask to make sure you're not rubbing your eyelashes onto your rough pillow or to force yourself to actually close your eyes and go to sleep, then this is the mask for you. If however, you are looking for a mask to block out the light I do not recommend this one. You should instead look for the lip silk contour sleep mask - it blocks more light and also does not touch your actual eyelids as this one does. Do not get this mask if you struggle to sleep with masks anyway because this one touches your eyelids which I found slightly off-putting

I wasn't sure how effective this might be as I suffer from insomnia and thought it might end up uncomfortable and waking more. It took a little getting used to wearing but I've found this mask great for helping get to sleep more quickly and for smoothing out crowns feet wrinkles so they're less noticeable in the morning. The only drawback I've found is that it does need sleeping on your back to get the best out of it. Side sleeping leaves marks around my cheek area and does loosen the mask so that light can more noticeable around the sides. I got this in Charcoal and it blocks light well in this shade.

The mask is completely silk inside and out but my biggest pet peeve is that I got a marble shade and you can kinda see light through??????? What’s the point of an eye sleeping mask? We have two charcoal, two black I purchased from ulta and a white and pink marble one I purchased from slip directly.The dark ones are great.The pink and white marble though... ehh not so much, it doesn't do much for blocking out light.They're very soft and feel so nice on. I bought this in the sale, as some colours were reduced. Makes no difference to me. I just wanted a beautiful silk sleep mask, to help me relax ready for land of snooze, a little bit of weight so you know it’s there and helps the relaxation process, good for the area around your eyes, and most importantly get a better sleep. I suffer with insomnia as I’m going through menopause and this has helped so much. I’ve used other cheaper sleep masks, and they don’t come anywhere close to this sleep mask. It’s really beautiful. Arrives in a gorgeous box for storage, so soft, when you go silk there’s no going back. Beautiful product. I recommend, it’s a bit pricey when full price, but worth it, also stays in place, which most masks don’t
I really love the Slip sleep mask! It is such a great add-on for a good night's sleep. Especially if you work shift work or night work. They are really durable, I was them at least once per week since they get to experience all of my nighttime skincare routines. The mask is thick and soft, as advertised. I will definitely repurchase after it wears out, but I don't expect that to happen any time soon. I also have the contour one, it's even better.
I am grateful that Slip makes this product. Before I found this, sleep eye mask is either rough on the skin, the band gets too tight or too loose on the back of the head, which makes one wants to take it off after 3 seconds of wearing. Slip's silk mask is revolutionary because of its touch, and also with its magic band. One does not feel it at the back of the head when lying down. Sheer magic. I am sensitive and if I feel nothing it will be for every person. I would advise purchase of a dark color mask in the color range. I had one that's light (similar to vanilla color) and in the summer with outdoor light (while curtains are down) I can still sense the lights are filtering though.
