These camera mount clamps which were designed to clamp onto tripod legs are an answer to rigging multiple cameras in a limited space. With what I have now I can have anywhere from one up to 4 cameras on a single stationary mount. My life is so much easier with these rigs - I will be purchasing more in the near future.

So, access to ports is achieved as is the ability to still have a comfortable grip. I knocked off a point because as of this moment, there is no stand-alone left handle accessory option and that would be important to me for enabling better handheld stability.

I bought this for my a7iii. I had to dremal out a spot so that the camera would sit square. I am returning the a7III cage that just arrived becuase this one is lighter, feels better in the hand and has more access to the controls.

I bought this for my a7iii. I had to dremal out a spot so that the camera would sit square. I am returning the a7III cage that just arrived becuase this one is lighter, feels better in the hand and has more access to the controls.
Good cage at a god price--love the NATO rail on the left side and the cold shoe mount on the right. Makes the right hand grip a bit uncomfortable, so I'd recommend an attachable handle if you want to handhold. The only other issue is that it makes it much harder to change the mode dial.
I love smallrig stuff but why in the world did they not include an arca mount at the bottom of the cage. I use this to switch between many different pieces of gear and having to add a plate makes it too top heavy on a gimbal. Good quality, but total fail for me.
This cage fits the a7sIII perfectly. You will need to remove the strap connection hardware on the right side in order to secure the cage with a small screw. This prevents the cage from rotating while keeps the hold for the battery door centered. The cage provides good protection and a host of different accessory mounting options. If you own this camera this is a must-have accessory.
This cage is excellent and has plenty of mount points for accessories despite its small size. It’s quite light, allowing it to remain on the camera while using stabilizers (of reasonable payload tolerance). Combined with Small Rig’s side and/or top handles, it’s great for handheld shots. Access to ports and battery door is great. Oh, and it’s gray. Who doesn’t like gray?
Needed to replace the base for a small solar panel and clamp it onto a pipe. Worked perfectly. Good quality, very good range of motion.
I bought the wrong cage by accident and didn't realize it until about a week after I had it but that's a good thing as it means it works with other cameras. It's lightweight and has plenty of places to thread attachments onto it and overall I'm happy with it. Now I just need an A7SIII to put inside it.
great low profile cage. Comfortable to handhold. Has plenty of slots customization. I'm a big fan of smallrig's line of rigging gear. Really sturdy stuff but so much more affordable than the other brands.
