These goggles are a perfect fit with the Smith helmet. The quality of the lenses is immediately apparent, and provided a completely new experience on the slopes - no squinting! It is so easy to change the lenses out and the low light lens allows you to see those pesky snow drifts. Highly recommend this to everyone!

Excellent pair of goggles for the price point. Have not had issues with fogging and the low light lenses worked great for the appropriate conditions. Have used them in resort and backcountry settings. Would recommend for any recreational winter sport enthusiast or person getting into the sport on a budget.

These goggles are a good fit, but the lenses are so-so. The regular lens I got makes it noticeably more difficult to distinguish snow texture than without goggles, and the storm lens fogs up so easily (no idea why- the fit seemed right when I popped it into the frame) and then freezes over, making for a VERY frustrating descent in snowy conditions. Wouldn't recommend these, and wouldn't buy again. Feel like this was a waste of money; too bad I only found out this season after buying last year after the previous season..

My entire family now has a pair of Smith I/O MAGs. For those of us who've used them for a few years, they are still as good as new. We each had to experiment with the various sizes/fits in order to ensure no fogging while in use, but this was easy to do. The magnetic connection makes popping in the desired lens so effortless; the only thing I wish was slightly better was the release mechanism. There is a tab that must be pushed a bit in order for the lens to be released, and I always worry I'm about to break it (it's a hard plastic) - but we haven't damaged any yet. Clearly, it's better made than I could tell. Overall, a great product. I only wish it was possible to mix/match the day/storm lenses upon purchase. An extra set lens (storm) came with each goggle ... MoreMy entire family now has a pair of Smith I/O MAGs. For those of us who've used them for a few years, they are still as good as new. They seem to work very well. I haven't worn the original lens yet, only the lighter extra lens that was provided - which was awesome. The light lens was easy to see in overcast conditions and it was easy to change them out. They fit with my helmet perfectly (not a Smith) and fit my smaller face much better than previous goggles I've owned. The clip on the strap is interesting - I've never had one like that before. I was nervous it would fall off when adjusting but it never did.
Was so excited to get these, but they just don't work for anyone in our family. The way the nose is cut, is super narrow, low, and tight. The men's version in a small works better. I even had my kids try these on and they aren't going to work for anyone in our family. Another downfall that I find with these Smith goggles in the way the goggles clip in the back. It makes them super easy to put on, but use with an Anon helmet is a no-go. The goggle clip just slides out.
I had an old pair of I/O S goggles that were my favorite - compatible with both my POC ski racing helmet and my Giro helmet I use for backcountry skiing. I am petite and both helmets are adult size small and the old goggles fit both helmets perfectly with no gaps. There has been a geometry change to the goggles since my last pair and these new ones are NOT small. They are so large that the frames do not fit (nevermind fit well) in a size small helmet. They are too wide. While a common problem for me disappointing to see in a goggle marketed as a "small lens".As always the goggles are good looking and and lenses seem to be of high quality. Bought last Christmas for self. Have carried along in pack a few times for winter hikes but not actually needed to wear yet. Pulled them out again getting ready for this year, and the rubber strip along the inside of the strap (I think designed to help keep in place on ski helmet) had turned into a sticky mess. Glue sticks to everything, and also comes off on fingers. Looking at Smith warranty site, this is a known issue. Happily REI has a great return policy, so am returning almost a year after purchase.
Stunning design and optics. Fits a medium sized female face perfectly. I compared this to several other models made by a variety of manufactures. My take away is these are of superior quality. I use prescription inserts and found they DO NOT fit correctly because of the way the frame is structured. The prescription frame, although listed as a match for these goggles will not work unless I dare heat the frame and reshape them to fit the Smith I/O Mag S frame.
They kept me warm! I’m new to skiing but my bf and his family are pros so I went with what they told me are good and I don’t have any regrets I was warm and safe the two days we went skiing. There was a sunny and a cloudy days and it was easy to snap in the different lenses for the conditions. I also like that they match my other gear! Overall I would get them again if I needed to.
