Are you the mid-level boarder on a “this sport is expensive” bargain boujee budget? The mom whose kid needs the coolest and most functional gear for ski club, but my gosh that kid seems to go through a pair a year?! This is for you… A replaceable price-point lens and quality, versatile gear for the go-getter. The cylindrical Chromapop lens allows for quite the view for those like me who do not prefer to see a giggle rim and craning your neck to see what’s around you. The color also brings out the separation of snow to sky, which is a game changer in those pow days (mom, that’s what the youths call “powder”)! Trust me on this one, you want this goggle over the cheap Black Friday goggle you will replace again next year.

2 year review. Good visibility, doesn't fog too much and the change is very handy, i have taken tumbles and lens hadn't fallen off. issue I have, the vent hole padding falls out very easily, especially since the frame is very flimsy. The clip at the back of the goggles is an issue. It doesn't fit in certain helmet clips, and if you wear them underneath your helmet you can feel it on the back of your head. My biggest gripe is that it does not come with a hard case. This is something very cheap goggles give you, and for 240 dollars, coming without a hard case is bad. I have two lenses and the goggles plus the lens barely fits in the cloth bag. I would not buy again given this. It's hard to keep your lenses in good shape when there is no hard case to put them in.

First, I really like the lenses. The greenish lens works very well even on cloudy days (& sunny days.) The clear lens is great for night or really cloudy days. I knocked a star off just because the lenses were difficult (for me) to change. I feel like I really had to 'work' the goggle frame to change lenses. (I also own Smith's 4d mags which are a snap to change, so I'm a bit spoiled.) Overall... these are good goggles at an affordable price for two lenses. Thanks Smith!
Great goggles for the price and glad to see versions from Smith made specifically for people with low bridge noses. (Asian-approved!) The field of view is expansive and created a good seal around my face so there was no fog. Fit around my helmet is tight though, and I have to carefully stretch it over and around my helmet so I don't distort the goggles when I want them off (they bend/give a lot in the middle).I haven't switched out the lens yet, which I'm avoiding given all the feedback that it's difficult to do. I've been pleasantly surprised by how well the black lens does in low light - visibility was fine on a cloudy day. Anticipating that I won't bust out the extra lens except for whiteout conditions.Random: my goggles came with a cute patch sewed into the ... MoreGreat goggles for the price and glad to see versions from Smith made specifically for people with low bridge noses. Nice touch! :)
These are excellent goggles for the money - they occupy that sweet spot between 'normal' everyday goggles and wickedly expensive top-tier offerings with all the bells and whistles. They're clear, don't fog, and the ChromaPop lenses offer great contrast. Biggest benefit is getting a bright sunlight lens and another lens to deal with flat and low light conditions. One star off for being a bit of a pain to swap the lenses - the 'fingers' that hold them in place at the back require a fair amount of twisting force to lock in and I'm afraid I'm going to pop the inner lens loose if I push too hard on them. They interface perfectly with my Maze helmet, which I expect when helmet and goggle are from the same company.
I like the style and the two lenses seem like a good combo of low- and high-vis VLTs. I haven't had any opportunities to test them out in midrange light conditions yet though, so I'm a little nervous that I might end up wanting another lens. Overall though, I really like the ease of swapping the magnetic lenses. Chromapop seems like a decent upgrade from my previous non-Chromapop Smith goggles as well. Every bit of visibility counts out there. One note about the color: it's more khaki than yellow. The pictures led me to believe it would be more yellow. I'm happy enough with it though. It definitely helps that I got them at a fantastic price.
Love these goggles! Got them for a great price, which was the first advantage, but I also had been meaning to switch to goggles that had two lenses to satisfy different conditions on the slopes. So far these have been great. The colors and design pop, and it looks great with the rest of my similarly colored snowboard/snow wear. The only thing that's a little tough with these is switching out the lenses isn't a super fast swap like magnetic ones. It's not so difficult that it's a burden, but you definitely need to sit down with it for like 2-4 mins to swap, so I wouldn't plan on trying to swap it out in the middle of a run. Just consider the conditions and install the lenses you want to use beforehand. As for the fit, I'm Asian, but the bridge of my nose isn't ... MoreLove these goggles! Just had to maneuver it so that my nose didn't feel smushed, but overall, it fits nicely. Would definitely recommend these goggles for anyone looking for a solid mid-tier setup that also meets different lighting and weather conditions.
The lens clarity and tint is great. I used both on a recent trip and even in snowy conditions with flat light I could see better with the dark/sun tint than without any goggles. Good coverage. Wish the lenses were a little easier to swap out. I may rock the yellow all season because it's a pain switching them. They fit well with my giro helmet. I'm happy with them for basic resort skiing but I'm not the coolest looking person on the hill.
I tried the Squad MAG and the I/O MAG and the Squads are my favorite. I get an awful glare on the I/O, but the Squads must be a bit smaller so as not to have the reflection coming up on the bottom part of the lenses. Switching out the lenses are a BREEZE!! I takes less than 15 seconds to do so. I was so happy that these came with an extra lens for low light conditions as well. They fit perfectly with my Smith helmet, but I have also tried them with generic helmets and they don't stick out at the top or have space between the helmet and goggle. Overall, money well spent and they have been amazing out on the slopes!
