I have Great difficulty drinking regular water. I love my soda stream water. I used to be an alcoholic. When I stopped drinking I began drinking seltzer water pretending that I was celebrating every day of my sobriety. I know now that’s exactly what I was doing and while I was doing that I was helping save the planet. I very much appreciate whatever anyone can do to help save the planet knowing that it’s not the planet we’re saving it’s us we’re saving so kudos to soda stream and keep the good work going.

I bought a bottle then it fell apart , little bottom plastic fell off so bottle didn’t stand up any longer, so soda stream generously sent me a replacement bottle. I’m not young, but, I’m not 100, nor am I weak. But, unscrewing the both caps to wash or fill the bottles is super difficult. Bottles have been washed, not expired, used properly etc and I’m finding a strange chemical plastic taste in the water if the bottle is not refrigerated before fully consumed. My large bottle doesn’t have the problem, nor does my fancy glass carafes… so it’s not my water supply or me!Soda stream offered me 15$ towards a new bottle. I’ve got 6 small bottles and a machine I’ll be flogging on marketplace. Or dropping off at Sally Ann

This little bottle is as strong as the big one, but of course much more portable and gets cold much quicker. It's handy for cold beverages at home, when we might otherwise use a canned beverage. It uses the same cap as the larger bottle, so we still have the same issue with keeping mold out of the threads. Other than that, it's great.

I was washing my man's My Only Bottle when I noticed a strong smell of mold. While examining the lid. I discovered a design flaw. As in one can not get under the O-ring to properly clean under it. And in this case, it had developed mold. Bleaching it can only clean so much.It would be much easier to clean if the O-ring was designed to come off. Like redesigning the part that holds the strap to screw off the inner center piece.
I purchased 4 of these bottles and washed them in the dishwasher on the top shelf. After a few months, the water started having a funky taste. I realized the bottles smelled like the dishwasher soap and it was transferring to the water. I’m saddened about this, because they were perfect. Of the four, one melted and the bottom part of the bottle came off.I wont be washing any bottles in the dishwasher from now on.
I was very happy to receive a "My Only Bottle" as a Christmas gift. It was great for about 6 months, then the sealing gasket fell out of the cap, rendering the bottle useless. I contacted sodastream customer support and was told I could buy a new cap at Canadian Tire. What is the point of buying a reusable, supposedly "environmentally conscious" bottle that has to be replaced every six months? MAJOR FAIL!
This is a great battle, however it has a significant design flaw. There is a space between the bottle itself and the pink outside cladding which covers the lower third of the bottle. Water gets trapped there and then mold grows in the space.It is almost impossible to clean out the mold because the cladding is glued to the exterior of the bottle. There is a considerable online discussion of this problem. Soda Stream was great and replaced my bottle but the problem persists.
I really like this smaller bottle to carry around. It is convenient and just the right size. I especially appreciate that it keeps my water carbonated longer than the containers I was using before I purchased this. Great buy; great value; great birthday gift! Got a replacement bottle from Sodastream as a few of my bottles fell apart, the black bottom fell off! This bottle emits a terrible plastic taste if I don’t refrigerate it before consuming it.. I have a glass carafe and big plastic bottle that don’t have same issue. I’ve cleaned properly and it’s not expired. So.. what’s that about? I’ve contacted Sodastream, I’ve decided to toss the bottles, or sell them or donate entire kit to thrift store. Water should take clean, crisp, and bubbly, not like I’m drinking from a hose! It’s a shame because the little bottles were my favourites
FYI :) My Only Bottle is safe to be washed in your dishwasher and BPA-Free.FYI :) BPA-free plastic bottles are hand wash only and can be reused until the expiration date printed on the bottle.I have spent a fortune on Sodastream bottles, only to have them warp in the dishwasher and no longer close properly, grow mold between the bottles/bottom base. The information you provide is contradictory. Glass bottles are not an option due to safety issues. I love my new ART, but not if I can't rely on the safety of the bottles - PLEASE redesign truly dishwasher safe, BPA free bottles.
