Let me preface this by saying I drink a lot of sparkling water. I mean a LOT. Typically I would stop at my local grocery store at least twice a week to grab several packs. It's the carbonation that I crave, not the flavor. That being said I was getting tired of stopping at the store, buying more than just the water I stopped to get, and having to lug it all back into the house. I've known about SodaStream for a while now and was curious. Luckily I happened to look at the site as there was a discount deal and decided to jump on it. The Terra was super easy to set up. Instructions were simple and easy to understand. You only need to pull the machine out, pop in the co2 canister, and snap the back in. Silly me didn't take the pink cap off the canister the first time and I couldn't figure why it wouldn't snap into the machine right. Needless to say my head was still in work mode after getting home and after realizing my mistake the co2 popped right in. I personally like my water a little extra fizzy and find 3 to 4 pumps is more than enough for me. Your water quality will determine the taste slightly. I have filtered well water and find it palatable but you can run your water through a separate filter if needed. The machine isn't too loud, it's honestly quieter than expected and fits perfectly on the counter without taking up a lot of space. I've have it for several weeks now and don't miss the store bought sparkling water. Trying out the different flavors of syrups has been fun too.

I purchased my SodaStream to find a cheaper alternative source for my diet soda addiction.Currently my drink of choice is Diet Dr. Pepper in 2-liter bottles, but the price has shot up from regularly occurring 4-bottles-for-$5 sales to $249-per-bottle which are rarely available anyway. I found the Diet Dr. Peeps syrup to be an acceptable, if slightly too sweet, alternative. We carbonate about 2.25 liters per day with 5 shots per liter. The first gas cylinder lasted 15 days; therefore, I got approximately 34 liters per cylinder. Quite a bit less than the 60 liters advertised. At $14.99 exchange, that's $0.44/liter of carbonated water.I use a little less than the recommended amount of syrup, so I get about 11 liters-per-syrup bottle. Or $1.96 for a 2-liter bottle. So I'll stick with the Diet Dr. Peeps until the sale price of available Diet Dr. Pepper drops below 3 for $5 ($1.67 + $0.10 CRV per bottle). I had a SodaStream several years ago and ended up getting rid of it because I couldn’t find any flavor additives that I liked and don’t like plain sparkling water. I have been a regular consumer of bubly’s flavored (and perfectly unsweetened) sparkling water for around 4 years, but don’t relish transporting cases of it home, and so was keen to try this special edition with bubly drops. After washing the bottles, filling them with cold water, and adding fizz, I started with ½ teaspoon of bubly drops and found I preferred closer to ¾ teaspoon. I immediately poured glasses for me and my friend, and we were both very impressed with the fizziness and flavor. It seemed exactly as if from a freshly opened can.The Terra looks sleek and clean and is very easy to use. ... MoreI had a SodaStream several years ago and ended up getting rid of it because I couldn’t find any flavor additives that I liked and don’t like plain sparkling water. I immediately poured glasses for me and my friend, and we were both very impressed with the fizziness and flavor. It seemed exactly as if from a freshly opened can.The Terra looks sleek and clean and is very easy to use. Attaching the bottles and pressing the button are not difficult. I found the perfect nook to store because it doesn't need power and thus doesn't need to be close to an electrical outlet.I expected to love my new SodaStream and bubly accessories but the issue for me is that the fizz does not seem to last if you don’t drink it all within a day or so, even with the bottle sealed and in the fridge after fizzing. I thought I had a great idea to infuse some fizzy water with watermelon, but it was flat the next day when I wanted to drink it. This may not be an issues for others who would consume more sparkling water. I will note what I had forgotten from when I previously had a SodaStream, which the instructions clearly note: you can only fizz plain water, and so if you’ve added flavor and it goes flat, you are stuck with flat flavored water.I see how this will save me money in the future compared with buying canned sparkling water, and especially anyone who enjoys unflavored sparkling water. I would highly recommend it for any household that goes through at least a liter of sparkling water within about a day. I do still plan to keep cans on hand for when they are convenient, like when I have multiple guests over or am on the go but don't want to carry the empty SodaStream bottle.
Great machine. Easy to use. Fewer plastics going to the garbage dump. Needs more flavor options. Not as messy as I thought it would be because the flavor is the last thing to add after carbonating plain water. I would hope they would partner with the soda companies to have the flavor additives that we all are accustomed to drinking. I do not like the flavored water drops that are included, but that's just my preference. I either want plain water or I want a soda. I have not gotten used to these flavored carbonated waters. I did go buy the diet soda and homestyle lemonade flavors to try, and I was really impressed with those. I'm still waiting to receive my diet lemon lime flavor additive that I ordered. I can use that to mix a variety of drinks I like in the summer, like diet cherry limeades. It is wonderful too that this does not require electricity. It has the carbonating cartridge that sits in the back of the device, and then as long as your cabinets are high enough it will sit under the cabinets anywhere you would like. There is also a carbonating canister exchange program where you can exchange your empty cartridge for a full cartridge at half the price. I discovered this can be done at several locations.
I’ve always wanted a soda stream I’m not really a pub drinker so I never wanted to use for the purposes of making pops at home flavored water and just sparkling water absolutely and this has not disappointed! It’s super simple to set up it’s bigger than I expected so that’s a bit of a bummer more tall than wide but still it takes up some real estate on the counter. I do love though that I don’t need batteries or a cord to utilize this product that is amazing so I can just put it in the far corner of the counter without having to worry about cords or anything like that. I also love that it’s super simple to put together are not too complex not too much of a struggle and it’s even easier to use. I don’t even mind that I would have to pay for another canister as it obviously will run out . I am kind of bummed that I don’t have an place that can just refill it for me within my area but I don’t mind replacing the canister at the store that’s fine. I just have to make sure that I dispose of the empty canister the right way. I’m so glad I have this I can’t wait to get my extra bottles so I can make some a store in the fridge!
I love love love my soda stream. I use it every day, multiple times; however, every time I open my dining cabinet and see five empty cannisters I am frustrated. I purchased cannisters during Covid via online from my local Staples whose employees, on two separate occasions and two different people, assured me that although I was not able to return the cannister for a discount when purchasing online; I would be able to return them without purchase for a refund once Covid was done and the store reopened. When I told her that two separate employees had confirmed yes I would be able to return each bottle she actually started yelling at me in front of other customers and although she didn't outright call me a liar, she implied that I was. It was not a great experience and I left the store with cannisters in hand, with her standing behind me, hands on hips triumphant at humiliating a customer. This is what I think of now each time I open this cupboard and see these empty cannisters that I no longer need. They cost me an extra $15 each and yet I am unable to get a refund. Oh they offered to take them from me for free btw. lol. Fantastic customer service from Staples, one of your vendors, who treat their customers poorly. Thought I would let you know. Thank you.
Our family has mostly stopped drinking soda and switched to sparkling water, so I was very excited to see SodaStream come out with their new Bubly line. My small family of three literally drinks almost 2 24-packs of sparkling water a week. Who wants to be lugging all those boxes of cans from the grocery and dealing with all that recycling? Not this lady! The white Terra sparkling water maker is solidly built and looks great in our kitchen. We still have one of the original models (in black), and there are a few differences. The CO2 for this model is a larger canister. I think this means it will last longer. This one takes a few taps of the top instead of holding it down for multiple seconds (like I remember doing with the older one.)So far, we've only tried the two flavors that came in the bundle (cherry and blackberry), and they are both amazing. I can't wait to try the other flavors, especially the citrus ones (usually my favorite). I've also been thinking about other things we might try with this machine, like adding fruit or making mocktails. This is the perfect kitchen summer accessory!
The new Bubbly SoadaStream by far exceeded my expectations. The #1 feature I really appreciate is that there is NO power required to use this machine. Absolutely none. We are avid campers and recently just bought a trailer and I really love that we can bring this along with us on any adventure since it requires no electricity and is very very slim/compact in design. Looking over the instructions when I first opened it, I couldn’t believe how simple it is to use, literally fool proof. It was such a quick and easy process, I would say from start to finish maybe took forty five seconds flat. The package starts you off with two flavors, cherry and blackberry, with additional flavors available for purchase. I’m a huge sucker for anything cherry flavored. A very little of the flavorings goes a long way and provides a very refreshing but not overwhelming flavor. The blackberry honestly shocked me and is currently my favorite. We just ordered more flavors and cannot wait to try them. We also can’t wait to take this on our Fourth of July family camping trip. I think this will be such a hit amongst all of our family!
I've always thought about getting one of these, but didn't know how much work was involved with it. It took about 8 minutes to set up, including taking it out of the box. The black is a really good design to match our kitchen. I'm a big fan of carbonated water, especially if I can pick flavors myself. This was a no brainer when it comes to trying to reduce my carbon footprint (pun-intended... c02). I like being able to do my part to reduce how much plastic is in the environment. You can choose your level of carbonation. I like mine really carbonated, but I also know that I will go through my c02 much faster than the lower carbonation. I've played around with a lot and a little and it is doable with a little bit of carbonation. You can recycle your actual bottle to reduce cost and be even more green. I've not recycled it because I still have probably 100 bottles left of use with this now that I have reduced my carbonation setting. I really enjoy being able to swap out flavors whenever I want. You don't have to use all of the same flavor before changing flavors. I've even mixed some flavor bottles just to make new flavors. It's also nice and skinny so I can keep it in our home or take it with us camping in the RV. It's not bulky and really fits great on the counter.
