I have only had this TV for 2 weeks but am totally amazed at the difference of clarity of picture to my previous one. Yes, I have upgraded to this smart version and so glad I did. I researched the different ones on offer and decided on balance the Sony Bravia came out on top of most surveys so took the plunge. When I first took it out of the box I had bit of a shock that it looked so much smaller than I expected even though it was the same screen size as my previous TV. However, once connected the picture fills the screen and appears so much bigger than when switched off. This is a very neat and compact looking television which has a wonderful picture quality along with good sound quality.

I'm in my 60's... and see no point in owning movies and documentaries in 4K format. So this TV's 'upscaling' for my reasonably impressive collection of blu-rays.. to 'close to 4K' standard is very satisfactory. The remote is very easy to get used to, perhaps the only annoying thing is not having a numeric keypad. Having said that though.. it's "program category" search feature is useful. I'll just say I love the TV. 65" is big enough for me, my family, and our lounge room. The "smart" feature... works well. (Though this may be related to us being fortunate enough to have 'fibre to the premises' broadband connection

After researching all the "equivalent" TV's from LG, Samsung, Hisense etc, I found the Sony took the lead in all but styling. Sure, the Samsung and LG are thinner and lighter, but the Sony won out where it counts - image, sound, interface etc. Setup was a little frustrating, rather than just the simple Google Setup you had to sign up and log into various Sony bloatware, but once done it isn't intrusive into the day to day use like Samsung's. The only gripe I have is the remote. After experiencing the Google TV Redkite that works from the next room by Bluetooth, I've found the Sony remote pretty unresponsive at times, especially when changing the volume.
