Sony WF-C500 Truly Wireless Headphones (White)
Sony truly wireless earbuds are designed compact to fit snugly in your ear. But don't let their size fool you. They deliver high quality sound that's rich in detail, thanks to DSEE technology, which restores fine fade-out sound and high frequency sound. These Bluetooth headphones are smartphone-friendly too, very easy to Use and come in a choice of four our Digital Sound Enhancement Engine (DSEE), high frequency sound and fine fade-out sound are restored to the track for a more authentic listening experience. You can also tailor music to your own taste using the EQ setting on the Sony/Headphones Connect app. When an original music source is compressed, it loses the high-frequency elements that add detail and richness to a track. Our Digital Sound Enhancement Engine (DSEE) faithfully restores these to produce high-quality sound that’s closer to the original recording. Tailor sound to your personal preference. Choose from a variety of presets to match sound quality with the genre of music you're listening to. Or create and save your own presets using the EQ Custom feature on the Sony/Headphones Connect app. Designed small, these buds fit securely and comfortably in your ears. The rounded shape without edges makes them a pleasure to wear, leaving you free to focus on what matters your music. The cylindrical charging case is extremely small and easy to carry around in a pocket or bag so you can take your earbuds everywhere you go. Its translucent lid with a texture like frosted glass gives the case a stylish, luxurious look and feel. The buttons on the headphones not only let you play, stop, or skip through tracks and adjust the volume they also offer an easy way to access your smartphone’s voice assistant and make and receive calls hands-free. Available in White color.

At the full MSRP, they'd just be "good" (not great), but for $30, the price they were selling for Black Friday, they're spectacular. If you can snag them near that price, don't hesitate. At full price, then there's more competition for your ears, but they still deserve a listen.Pairing has been seamless and is automatic after initial setup, and my connection is rock solid. Crystal clear, and louder than you'd ever want. Battery life seems great - I have yet to exhaust them, and the recharging pod is a good size and very pockatable.More advanced codecs or ANC would be nice, but not really expected at this price point, and with that in mind I doubt you can do better for $30.I haven't used them in wet conditions, so I can't speak to their water resistance, but ... Don't expect to submerge them though. I might be a little concerned about them popping out under extreme activity, but it could just be my ears. For commuting and walking around they fit great, and seal out the world without dangerously doing so. Trying different ear tips may improve the fit, but I haven't tried yet. It comes with some though, so that's an easy option.Recommended.

I’m not sure I would have paid full price for these, but they are definitely worth more than the $30ish I paid during the Black Friday sales. After having my AirPod Pros for a couple of years I had finally killed them, so I needed new earbuds. I couldn’t afford another pair of AirPods so I bought these due to the discount.Sound quality is great - an app is required to use them but it also gives you an unlimited range of settings for listening. Bass is decent. Audio is clear. The earbuds are super comfortable with no micro-scratchy edges (my AirPods had one seam that wasn’t completely lined up, but was only obvious to the sensitive skin around my ear). They keep out most unwanted noise but not to the point that you can’t hear anything at all. The battery life on ... Between battery life and sound, they run laps around my old AirPod Pros. I’m not sure how they measure up against the latest model though. The reasons I don’t think they would be worth $98… the buttons are big, sensitive, and way too easy to push. I’m constantly pausing what I’m listening to or hanging up on someone. It is annoying at best. The earbuds themselves are top-heavy, making them weirdly bulky in which they start leaning out of my ears even trying different size tips. I’ve dropped one or the other several times from the weight of it finally pulling it out of my ear all the way. I guess I’ll try different size tips again to see if any of them will fix the top-heavy problem. The case has to be charged way more frequently than my AirPods case, which has been a change I’ve needed to get used to, but it is a minor issue. The earbuds are slow to charge in the case as well.Overall these are really nice earbuds. Definitely underpriced at sale price but not quite worth $100 at this point. If you’re looking for something that sounds great while on a budget and these are on sale, definitely go for these.

2nd trip to Walmart today, looking at Bluetooth earbuds. Read reviews for these and a JLab pair. The JLab pair were $25 and had 8 thousand 5 star reviews, talking about how good they were, and the audio quality was excellent. That was a lie. No bass at all, just sounded like crap, so I returned them and found these 40% off. Sony! Has to sound good, right? Got them home, inboxed them, got them setup with my phone and the app, and went through the app to adjust the spacial audio and equalizer, etc. Got them all setup and played some videos and audio….hardly any bass at all on them. Played another song that has a good bass line at the beginning, then switched to my regular old iPhone corded headphones and MAN was there a difference. I don’t like the fit on the Apple ... I’m guessing most of the reviews on both these sets of headphones I tried today, were probably somebody getting paid to write a review of a product that they have probably never even tried.

I cannot understand how anyone would review these positively for sound quality. They are absolutely wretched sounding. There is absolutely no low end or low-midrange response. They are tinny and shrill sounding. It is actually painful in a way listening trough them. I don't think I could even tolerate them for a phone call. They sound far worse than listening to your landline phone and on the other end of the call someone is holding their phone up to a 1962 transistor AM radio. Sony usually is good for quality and at the very least tolerable for audio products.I will add that if I pushed them as far as I could into my ear canal there was a little bit of low end. But I'm not going to use earbuds I literally have to hold in my ears, and I think only an idiot would ... MoreI cannot understand how anyone would review these positively for sound quality. But I'm not going to use earbuds I literally have to hold in my ears, and I think only an idiot would do so and parade in here raving about sound quality.Despite the sales price ($29), these are by far the worse use of money in my life. Throwing $29 dollars out the window of my car, purchasing a fresh dog dropping, paying $29 for someone to beat you with a hose, all of these are far better use of $29. I wouldn't use these to listen to an emergency broadcast that would save my life (OK, THAT one is hyperbole). If my ears naturally picked up sound and that was the frequency response, I would rather be deaf. That one I am dead serious about. It IS that bad. I doubt I can receive a refund but I will surely try.
These are $100 but i got these for $30 on black friday pre sale, a great deal don't you think? yeah i thought so until i listened to them for just 1 minute. I currently own the jlabs go air pop earbuds that i paid $20 full price and i fully expected the sony's to beat them in everything, I was shocked to find out the sony's are worse. The case and buds are made of a cheaper lower quality plastic than the $20 jlabs which are much more premium and higher quality feeling. These sony's have absolutely zero bass and an equalizer hardly does anything to bring it out. As for the instruments like the accordion, trumpet, flute and many others the sony is just barely better at representing these sounds compared to the go air pop but just by ever so slightly. As for the instruments like the accordion, trumpet, flute and many others the sony is just barely better at representing these sounds compared to the go air pop but just by ever so slightly. But overall tallying everything up the listening experience sucks because of the complete and total absence of bass making it unbearable to listen to. Super flat and dreadful. I expected these to have more bass than the go air pop. The case design is also terrible in comparison both size and usability and the jlabs battery life last longer too. Overall even though i only paid $30 for these brand new as opposed to the $100 msrp i won't be keeping them. These are pure junk and sony should just go bankrupt already, they're not the sony of the 1990's and I've been continuously disappointed by modern sony quality and lackluster value and I'm done. Even for $30 these aren't worth it, even for $20 they still aren't worth it as i'd rather take the jlabs any day. Lots of good crisp bass that isn't muddy with instruments that sound about as good as these, equally good battery life and neither have ANC but with better build quality. Most i'd pay for these is $15 new, that's all they're worth, anyone who pays over $15 for these is a sucker which i am, and if you pay the $100 full price you're a turbo sucker.
Pros:- Sound Quality: Absolutely excellent and the graphic equalizer in the app works great too- Battery life: Excellent, and coupled with the charge pod should give you more than you ever need even for most avid travellers- Comfort: I have worn these for hours per day and they are lightweight to the point you forget they are there.- Value for money: I have bought a few brands over the years, and paid a lot more than I paid for these in the past, so VFM wise, totally unbeatable!Cons:- Microphone: It isn't that the mic isn't good, on the contrary, it picks up everything! So great when I am sat at my keyboard but not so great if I am doing anything that makes a noise whilst trying to conversate as the recipient hears all that clatter too!Summary:If you ... I bought these about a year and a half ago at Best Buy. I love the sound quality, the battery life, and the shape, cause they’re one of the few pairs that don’t hurt my ears. the buttons are easy to figure out, and typically work very well. i lost them about two months ago, and very sadly bought a cheap pair to get me through till i could afford these again, and they SUCKED. sounded like a phone propped in a plastic cup. i found this pair again (on my nightstand of all places), and joyously went back to these.on January 3rd, i accidentally left them in my sweater pocket when it went through both the washer AND dryer. i thought they were done. i put them in their case angrily, before i noticed the light come on. what the heck, i tried them, and both work almost ... I recently purchased the SONY WF-C500 Wireless Bluetooth Earbuds, and overall, I’m quite impressed with their performance. The sound quality is excellent, offering clear, balanced audio with a decent amount of bass. Pairing with devices via Bluetooth is straightforward and hassle-free, and the connection has been stable. One minor downside is that the touch controls can be a bit sensitive, so it takes some getting used to. Additionally, they don’t offer active noise cancellation, but considering the price, I wasn’t expecting that feature.Overall, the SONY WF-C500 is a great option if you’re looking for reliable wireless earbuds with good sound quality and long battery life at an affordable price.
I received my Sony WF-C500 headphones today. It prompted me to download an app immediately which wasn't much of an issue to me. The app seems to unlock an equalizer for the headphones and provides a way to get 360 degree reality audio onto your device after you take photos of your ears to enable the feature. It also provides a small selection of apps you can use with the 360 degree reality audio feature. I'm currently listening to 360 degree reality audio through the Nugs.net app it recommends to download and the sound is amazing. After tuning the equalizer in the Sony Headphones app and signing up for a free 7 day trial of the Nugs.net music app, these headphones sound better than any bluetooth headphones I have ever tried. The app seems to unlock an equalizer for the headphones and provides a way to get 360 degree reality audio onto your device after you take photos of your ears to enable the feature. After tuning the equalizer in the Sony Headphones app and signing up for a free 7 day trial of the Nugs.net music app, these headphones sound better than any bluetooth headphones I have ever tried. The Nugs.net music app has live performance music in their app also and with these Sony WF-C500 headphones the 360 degree reality audio really makes it sound like you're at the live concert event in the audience, this technology really is amazing. The 360 degree reality audio is super immersive and the headphones can get pretty loud over Bluetooth while maintaining a crisp audio quality profile of your choosing in the Sony headphones app. These headphones are phenomenal for the price and the audio quality is out of this world compared to my AirPods Pro, and Beats Powerbeats Pro headphones. I think the Sony headphones app combined with a premium subscription service or high quality audio that supports the 360 degree reality audio tech built into these headphones make for a superb performance music and audio listening experience. I'm going to be trying the Tidal music streaming service recommended in the Sony headphones app next to get a more expanded high quality music streaming service experience since it also supports the 360 degree reality audio technology built into these headphones and is recommended for use with these headphones by Sony. High quality live performance concert music really makes these headphones shine bright and the results are nothing short of spectacular.TLDR: These cans (headphones) are phenomenal provided you support them with high quality 360 degree reality music audio files either from a music subscription service or provided by yourself with the only caveat being the required Sony headphones app download to enable the 360 degree reality audio technology and the equalizer settings.
I have had these earbuds for 2 years now. When I first purchased them, I was actually fairly disappointed. Cons: They have a very basic, flat, sound. These sound very boring and tame compared to pretty much ANY other earbud in the market. Although there is an equalizer built into the app, it does not really do enough to improve the sound. These also have a very audible "bluetooth hiss" at low volumes. If you are listing to anything at minimum volume, it is impossible to miss. Pros: These have fantastic battery life, I can get around 7 hours or so now, but there are very few times when I have actually hit the low battery mark. These button controls are great, and allow for hands-free and voice-assistant free use (I can reach the button with my shoulder), easy access ... MoreI have had these earbuds for 2 years now. Finally, these earbuds are UNKILLABLE, I have tried many other earbuds in these 2 years, and a most of them have failed within 6 months. These have been worn in the rain numerous times, from slight sprinkles to extreme showers, they have been through everything. They have even survived being dropped into water multiple times (after drying them out obviously).
