By far the least expensive soy protein I can find out there...In terms of taste, it can be a bit hit or miss; I think they are continually changing their recipe so it's a bit tricky to get a consistent flavour. I've been buying this for years and will continue to do so. Natural: taste as you would expect natural soy to taste like. Slightly nutty, earthy flavour. I usually buy this one and just mix it with water, down it, and there you go. I just want the protein, not the other stuff... Vanilla: generally good. Had one batch that tasted very off, but the others ones were good Chocolate: they may have changed the recipe, but the one I got last year tasted very strange Matcha: really nice and refreshing, but should be mixed with a milk Milk tea: I loved it! Tasted quite lemon-y, refreshing. Strawberry: also very nice, also mixed with milk If I had to choose a flavour, I would go with strawberry. Tastes like a milkshake when mixed with a milk. Goes Well With: Water or milk

Thought I was being smart making my morning coffee into a protein shake. But my goodness this one is just vile. It says to use a scoop (30g) but with the amount of water/milk it suggests to use for one serving (around 200/250ml), it just doesn't dissolve fully at all, even when I double the liquid I use it is still so grainy and sludgey. I have to add 250ml of actual black coffee and then another 200ml of soya milk and its still such an awful texture, and I only use half a scoop (15g) !! Have no idea how this is meant to be taken at the recommended serving portion. The taste on its own with just water/milk is abhorrent. You utterly need to add actual coffee to it. Wouldn't recommend this flavour at all to anyone. The nutritional values are good but you cant even ... MoreThought I was being smart making my morning coffee into a protein shake. I'm having half the amount each morning and its such an awful experience forcing it down each day. Goes Well With: Nothing. Not even coffee.

I used this protein for 2/3 years religiously, salted caramal and iced latte flavours the goat for me. Recently a new variety of flavours has been released, I couldn't get my usual favourites and had to substitute with chocolate. Why has the taste of this changed so much? (Not ok hun!) I'm disappointed and unsure of what myprotein is trying to achieve here with this recent launch. Bring out or trial new flavours, fine, but please don't get rid of the ones already working well. I understand not everyone loves coffee the way I do, but that iced latte flavour was what got me through my last competition prep. Now I'm having to go round other companies once again trying to find a flavour that doesn't taste overly sweet, mixes well on its own and added into things. I'll keep checking to see if my beloved iced latte returns. Until then....Au Revoir

I tried it having some pinch of skepticism, but it’s simply fantastic! It taste is superb! I use unflavoured with a bit of almond milk and water. With cacao, cinnamon, raspberries - anything you like! Or making chia pudding with it. Often using it with just plain almond milk. Delicious. The danger is I feel I become addictive :), willing to replace lunch with two scoops of it. It works in any situation - after workout, just to top up your daily protein - anything. I would highly recommend! Goes Well With: Almond milk, chia, cacao powder, berries of all kinds, dry-freeze or fresh or frozen, desiccated coconut, nut butters. Very versatile.
I've been buying protein from MyProtien for a couple of years now. My goals have changed in that time, I started my journey needing to lose weight so I purchased the diet protein blend which did the job as it is very low in calories but still with a decent percentage of protein, however I didn't enjoy the taste of any of the flavours in that range. Now that I've lost all the weight I needed to, my goal is to tone up while maintaining my weight loss so I decided to try this protein as its way more beneficial to my goals and lifestyle now. First of all, I love that it's plant based as I don't eat meat and want to reduce my diary intake. It's still very low in calories and contains a high percentage of high quality protein, more so than the diet blend that I used to buy. Best of all, the flavours are actually delicious, the salted caramel is my favourite but the smooth chocolate one isn't bad either. It also mixes very well and doesn't have a weird texture or after taste like most other protein powders. I'll be buying this on repeat as I've noticed my muscle definition has improved, I'm stronger and my body fat percentage has dropped too. Goes Well With: Mixed in a plant based yogurt and used as a topping for my weetabix in the morning.
I started on soya protein a decade ago - never had whey so I can't compare the two! Back in't day, we only had chocolate and vanilla to choose from, and they were a chore to chug down. Having a huge range of flavours now is brilliant. I find the soya protein mixes much better and is far smoother than the other Vegan protein blends, and being able to try samples is really helpful when you don't want to commit to something that might taste awful. The popcorn flavour is interesting; not quite popcorn but still nice to drink! The speculoos is awesome and is just like a biscoff milkshake! They are definitely on the sweet side, though! Goes Well With: Almond milk, water
I am not a breakfast person but never skip my morning coffee and protein shake - and this protein has completely changed the game! Now I prepare fresh coffee the night before so that it is cold in the morning and mixes better with the protein powder. The shake becomes pretty thick but tastes lovely (iced latte flavor) and gives me the caffeine kick I need to start my day! I always add some stevia (not sweet enough for my taste) and heat it in the microwave full power for a couple of minutes since I prefer hot drinks in the morning, and it's just so nice! Even thicker and filling, keeps me full until lunch. Definitely recommended and I will buy it again. Goes Well With: coffee and dairy milk free alternative, stevia
I bought this to try as I have a slight dairy intolerance so think it best to stay away from the whey proteins. I have never done protein shakes before but though this would be a good one for me to try. The taste is ok, but it does have a strange after taste, but maybe It's something you would get used to. The ratio it gives for mixing I think is off... I mixed as stated using the 1 and a 1/4 scoops and 250ml of oat milk, but it came out very thick, almost like a paste. This meant I couldn't really drink it smoothly and I think you'd have to eat it with a spoon. I do also feel a bit sick after drinking this so I think I may have a slight soy intolerance too. I think it would be good for those that like a thicker consistency, but if not, it may not be the best choice ... MoreI bought this to try as I have a slight dairy intolerance so think it best to stay away from the whey proteins. It is also a bit frustrating as there were only 2.5 kg bags available when I purchased and I don't think it's going to be useable unfortunately.
They have reformulated the protein and the taste of natural strawberry is really odd and not like strawberry at all. It tasted like intense sour cherry. But the worst part is the actual protein amount!! On the website they states 90g of protein on 100 g whey.. in fact the reformulated flavored protein has only 80 grams. They do write under the nutritional information section ”The nutritional information is based on the Unflavored version, when choosing an alternative flavor the nutritional values may vary.” But a variation of 10 grams is quite a lot and it is a misleading information. Definitely not buying again at my protein and go with other brands that are clearly about their nutritional information.
I love Myprotein's WPI choc brownie flavour so I trusted that they had their flavours downpack and was really excited to discover a lactose-free protein shake option. I first ordered the salted caramel as it was one of the only flavours available in a 500g bag. The flavour is VERY artificial and if you follow the instructions, the shake ends up being a super thick, goopy and overall unpleasant mixture. Adding more liquid (300ml+) slightly improves the texture but makes very little difference to the taste (FYI you would also end up with a full shaker of the drink). I hate wasting food so I have attempted to drink this on multiple occasions but have found that I could only get through half the drink and end up disposing of the rest because it's undrinkable. Having said that, I thought it might just be the artificial flavour making it difficult to drink, so I bit the bullet and decided to give the other flavours a chance. I ordered both chocolate smooth and strawberry cream as other reviews on them seemed promising *these flavours were only available in 1kg bags at the time so I was really hoping they would taste good*. Unfortunately. it has the same awful texture and artificial taste and I'm now left with almost 2.5kg of soy protein. To wrap it up, I usually look forward to my protein shakes but this soy protein has made me dread my post-workout shake. I'd rather endure the bloating and stomach pain I get from whey protein than to drink any of these. Having said that, other people seem to have tried serving this with oats and smoothies and it's worked for them, but keep in mind the flavour themselves are quite disappointing.
