It's a great beginner guitar but it cannot play drop D tuning. When I finished tuning and went back to play the first string that I had tuned it had already gotten noticeably far out of tune. Great for the price I guess but if your serious about playing maybe invest in a guitar of better quality.

Waited like forever for this to be in stock. Got the Olympic white. WOW! INCREDIBLE will describe the overall guitar. Neck, and frets are perfect! Love the head stock, AND tuners. Stays in tune like a champ! Overall sound is VERY Start to the bone! Play ability is fast, and smooth. Now this beauty is a virtual copy of the Hendrix GUITAR he used at Woodstock! Paint is flawless! Just quite incredible overall. Loud, and ROCKING! For the money, BEST I have ever owned. How do they do it? Frets are jumbo, and perfect! Pick ups are killer. Look, sound, and play ability are really top notch! THANK YOU Fender! You cant lose on this Beauty!

This would be a great first guitar or an extra practice guitar. Really close Fender sound without the price tag. I did have to set it up before first real use. Frets are a little sharp and action was kinda high. Spent an hour setting it up and now all is good. I have always played pointy guitars and was interested in a classic Fender sound. No regrets.

Bought this as a Christmas present for my son who's learning guitar. Great entry level guitar solidly built and finish. Would recommend the guitar and dv247 who's service was fantastic.
I was pretty impressed with this little guitar. My original reason for buying was to learn some luthier skills, but do it on an inexpensive guitar. However, the frets are great, the pickups are solid, and the 2 point trem is very stable. So, all I had to do was swap out the tuners and saddles...that's it! The guitar is great! For the price, you can't beat it!
I don't remember Squire's ever being so nice! I was pleasantly surprised at how good the pickups sound compared to my buddy's Mexi and US Strats! The satin finish on the back of the maple neck feels as smooth as a baby's skin. The frets had no sharp edges and after checking, all the frets were level. I was pleasantly surprised again when I found full size pots in the control cavity! The two point tremelo was pretty good as far as tuning is concerned. One upgrade I did was install a solid brass "36mm full block" on the tremelo which improved tuning stability dramatically!!! I consider my self an intermediate to advanced guitar player and I would recommend this guitar to pretty much anyone at any level...with a couple modifications.
Unbelievable quality for the price. Nicely set up and sounds great. Looks and finish are outstanding. Only problem is my daughter keeps ‘borrowing’ it.
This guitar is a good buy for the price. In fact, it's better than I expected. It is worth buying just for the light weight body and the maple neck. I was planning to replace the plckups, but it actually sounds better than I thought, so I might just leave it as is. I just got it for a knock around practice guitar, but it is really pretty cool and could be worth more money. You can't get any other strat in Olympic White for this price, which is another reason I got it. It looks cool and plays great, the neck is excellent and it sounds decent through a good amp. Chicago Music Exchange had it packed securely and it arrived in perfect condition very quickly. I recommend them for their excellent service!
