I'm super satisfied with this guitar, and although I plan on replacing it soon, thats based on technical requirements to suit my style, not the quality. Many of my friends who play is can't believe its a squire.Pretty standard features for a squire strat, though the Humbucker is a great addition. It stands out from other squires for sure, in a good way.The finish has worn in a few spots from plain abuse, and the tuning machines arent the best - more than slight trem use will knock it out of tune without replacing the tuners. The Trem itself isnt bad though, the bar screws in well and stays where you want it, but can easily be pushed aside. I took my bar off though. Until you get different knobs, I wouldnt bother. Sound quality is pretty good too. Definetly not ... MoreI'm super satisfied with this guitar, and although I plan on replacing it soon, thats based on technical requirements to suit my style, not the quality. Definetly not high end pickups, but they still sound great. The neck is amazing, unfortunately not 24 frets though, which would suit the humbucker nicely, but I cannot express how fast and smooth it plays - maybe I just got lucky, but maybe theyre all like that.A great and versitile guitar. And an amazing price. It may just be a starter guitar, but I've played many other guitars that cost 2x to 10x as much and arent nearly as good.

Although this is no custom made strat I do not know how you could do better at $200. I bought this for my 10y son that is learning and am incredibly impressed. I own several high end guitars and although this is not as good as them it Dose hold tune and has excellent action. The over all finish is quite nice, very impressed at this price point. I would string it up with heavier set of strings if it is not for a young person for better tone.

This is a starter guitar for me. Great quality for the money.Action feels good. It was between this and the Bullet HSS Limited Edition. I feel this one is worth the little extra. The pickup is supposedly a bit better too.

Bought this essentially as a prop (I know it sounds bad) but actually it was very playable out of the box. The hardware is basic and a little undersize from the real thing but did have a lovely low action and the neck was very smooth and easy to get around. The pickups lack tone and grunt so you need to fiddle with your amp and pedals to get a good sound. The term again is basic and I have found the guitar goes way out of tune with too much wanting on the teen So it is a good starter guitar and easy to play and for the money is just about on the right side of value at the price.
For a long time I have enjoyed playing a wide variety of guitars, but when I want one to kinda tweak on, I love to pick up a relatively inexpensive Squier, like the affinity. I have the candy apple red, and the fit and finish of the guitar is very good. Out of the box, it was in need of a proper setup. Once that was done, it played quite well. The stock pickups are OK, but sounded awful until adjusted. I did replace the pickups, bridge saddles and sustain block with aftermarket parts, and this guitar sounds and feels like a guitar that costs many times more.
Fantastic quality, couldn't find a fault with it.Very low action.Smooth fret board and neck let fingers slide effortlesslyWould definately recommend spending the extra money to get the humbucker pick up rather than the 3 single pickup option. If you can't afford the original Fender then get this.
I learned about 12 years ago how to play guitar. I bought a Fender Telecaster which I have been using. I got back in to music and playing guitar after a few years of not playing so I thought why not get something new. I decided and bought this Limited Edition Ice Blue Squier Stratocaster. Now, I know everyone says Fender Stratocasters have better hardware, but hear me out on this. These ceramic pickups have an absolutely beautiful tone for the price. Turn the volume knob down on the guitar, and turn the volume up on the amp. Ceramic pickups have a very high output, and nobody ever told me this. This thing sings beautifully through a Fender Frontman. The guitar itself arrived in great condition and was pretty much set to go out of the box, at least for my taste. I didn't really need to do anything with the action. I kept the stock strings on it, I plan on replacing those soon. It stays in tune very well. No complaints there. The satin neck is nice, I wish it was glossy but that's not a big deal to me. The frets are smooth compared to the sharp frets on my Fender Telecaster. It is a bit lighter than a Fender Stratocaster. It's not a hulk like a Les Paul or a Telecaster.I'm really enjoying this guitar. And it's becoming my "go to" guitar over my Telecaster. It really is that good. I'm actually considering picking up another Squier. That's how much I like it. These Squiers are a steal for what you get for the price. Absolute highway robbery.
These are entry level strats . But with the alder bodies you can do so much to kid them and make them very good players , of course you need to upgrade everything to make it a real strat but thats easily done . fret level and polishing , new bridge and tuners and a good setup gets you something thats comparable to a 700 dollar mim strat , at this price you cant go wrong for a fun guitar to learn on
I bought this for one of my beginner students. I wasn't esxpecting much for the price, but was very satisfied with the playability of this model guitar. It came very set up, with low, easy to play action and plays very well. It doesn't compare a higher priced guitar but is well worth the value! I recommend it.
its not bad onces i got it set up.its better than some mexican strat that i had where fret ends was to rough on the fingers. this ones is not to bad . 250$ not a bad deal for this affinity strat
