This unit was inexpensive, it is well constructed, as well as quick and easy to assemble. It is a half-height rack with roller wheels. I use it as a "repair dock" to take rack components out of my main full-height rack at home, and repair or reconfigure. It's easy to sit in a standard office chair and work with this rack. The adjustable depth is great. I highly recommend it.

This 12U server rack is perfect for anyone looking to start their own home lab. This is my first home lab and was a little unsure about what to get regarding rack wise but then I saw this, the size is perfect for me as it sits in the corner of the room and takes up next to no floor space (depending on what depth you set it to). This thing is heavy so there's no chance of it tipping over or even moving on its own. Materials are quality all steel construction same with the nuts and bolts. All tools are provided including the cage nuts and mounting hardware. The only thing that I found lacking was the instructions there not the best but if you have put together any kind of flat pack you should be fine. Great product would 100% recommend and would definitely buy again.

When assembled at the minimum depth of 22 inches, this rack has a couple of problems: - You only get to use two (rather than four) bolts to secure each piece of the extensible rails. - One of each caster's four bolts clashes with the nuts on the inside of the extensible rails. Inserting the bolt is already very difficult, and tightening it is worse: since the casters' nuts are not locking, the head of the bolt must be held still with one wrench while tightening the nut with another, and it's nearly impossible to maneuver a wrench between the nuts on the inside of the rail to hold the caster bolt. When you do get it right, it's extremely precarious and at an awkward angle that's begging for the bolt to slip. OCD tip: Using a torque wrench, tighten the M8 bolts ... MoreWhen assembled at the minimum depth of 22 inches, this rack has a couple of problems: - You only get to use two (rather than four) bolts to secure each piece of the extensible rails. - One of each caster's four bolts clashes with the nuts on the inside of the extensible rails. This rack is great for a small setup. With 12U available, there is space for several servers, switches, or even a shelf. In my rack, I'm only going to have a NAS, router, and small shelf which leaves room for expansion. The adjustability of the rack depth make expansion easy. I can start with shallow depth items and upgrade later. I've even put a piece of plywood on top and used it to hold a printer. The instructions were clear and made assembly easy. The rack is sturdy and well built. I do wish the feet on the levelling feet were a little larger but it's not a deal breaker.
I purchased this rack because I needed a cheap way to house a 30" deep server. The rack is awesome. Very sturdy, after weight was applied, the casters function very well. All the hardware I needed including the cage nuts and bolts were included even the tools to install it. length adjustment was simple and to the point. I did not use a square it bolted up just fine, nothing crooked. The bad. The instructions are terrible. Several times I had to remove and reinstall to get it right. I finally ditched the instructions and just looked at the picture on the box. If it were not for the quality of the rack at a VERY fair price I would have knocked off two stars just because of the instructions. Don't let that scare you, very nice rack, just know going in the instructions ... MoreI purchased this rack because I needed a cheap way to house a 30" deep server. The rack is awesome. Don't let that scare you, very nice rack, just know going in the instructions are.......unsatisfactory. Pro tip: When you lay it out to get the length the last square whole is the where the number should be. When you get there you will understand. Don't hesitate, great rack, with hardware included, very cost effective compared to others. Fits 30" servers just fine with room to spare.
Awesome value and great quality. You can have this rack ready to use 15 minutes after it arrives, even if you're completely unprepared. Kudos to the designers for making it impossible to mess up assembly and to the company for providing everything necessary, including a *real* wrench and screwdriver. The only criticism I can offer is the marginal quality of the built-in "nuts" in the frame. It's easy to get the bolt started a little crooked due to the loose fit, but they're solid once you get the bolt in straight.
Excellent rack for your home lab. Everything fits perfectly. The assembly is easy. I currently have 3x HP G3 G6 380 which are 20+ kilograms each and the rack hasn't moved. With the wheels I am able to easily move it around the house.
High quality all around: no sharp edges, every surface is evenly painted, every bolt and nut can be effortlessly screwed in by hand and only tightened with a tool at the end (badly cut threads are my pet peeve).Assembly guide could be a little bit more detailed, but it's still a simple process easily doable by a single person.I only wish there was an option to further reduce mounting depth from the minimal 22" to save some floor space.
The rack comes in a very small, but heavy, box - almost hard to imagine it contains a 12U rack. Assembly instructions were concise, easy to follow, and could be done solo. Like several other reviewers, I was impressed at how sturdy this product is for the price. It comes with all the tools you need to assemble it. My only complaint is with the caster wheels. From the moment I opened the small brown box that held the four wheels, there were already 2-3 ball bearings just floating around loose in the box. Now that I have loaded equipment, I keep finding more ball bearings on the floor. It still seems to roll reasonably well (for now), but I will probably reach out to the manufacturer to find a solution. Of course - it will be difficult to change out the casters now ... MoreThe rack comes in a very small, but heavy, box - almost hard to imagine it contains a 12U rack. Seriously. Don't waste your money on inferior products. Buy once. Cry once. Durable powder coat finish. Super heavy and robust.
