Sterilite 44L Hip Hugger Laundry Basket White

I have used this laundry basket since undergraduate school. It held my laundry. I used one in my trunk to hold my school books and my gym bag. This laundry basket is the most all purpose basket. It is big enough but not too big. 24 years later I have them everywhere for literally everything. Just got my 16 year old one for her trunk too. Get yours!!

I bought this laundry basket about a year and a half ago, and the handles have been broken for several months now. It’s not exactly durable and can’t hold much weight if you want to carry it by the handles, but it’s comfortable to use. I usually use it to organize folded clothes and carry them from the laundry room to the bedroom. I wouldn't buy it again. Three stars because, even though the handles are trash, the rest of the hamper is of good quality material and comfortable to use.

I have had so many different laundry baskets that end up with pieces breaking off, so a few years ago I decided to stop being cheap and spend a little more money on the Sterilite basket, and I regret nothing! These baskets have taken beatings by my kids, and they are all totally fine without even a crack. They fit all my 10 year olds clothes since all her clothes end up on the ground and we can’t figure out what’s dirty and what isn’t. I love these and I will never go back to any other brand.

After 25 years, I am replacing my plastic Sterlite Taupe Laundry Baskets with nice Sterlite Aqua Laundry Baskets. As a matter of fact, 1 of the 25 year old baskets is still in pristine condition. The handles were the only thing that gave on any of my baskets, so once they were gone I knew I had to replace them. During this pandemic, it is just so hard to get around and find what you need, so I am delighted that I found these on Amazon and was able to keep my laundry experience moving. Thanks Sterlite and thank you Amazon for carrying these wonderful utility containers.

These are the best clothes baskets around. They are made of thick, strong material, the handles are strong and durable, and you won't be destroying this basket for a while. They are stackable, and you can use them for many projects and material. Great for a toy box for the kids, too.. You can get them in many colors to match any area of your home. I love mine. They literally last for years. .

Good item, inexpensive, but cracked in shipping.

This is a nice laundry basket, at a really low price. I possibly would have given it 5 stars, however, as I ordered this item online and had it shipped to my house, there was some slight damage due to packaging. It had tight shrink wrap around 3/4 of it. The shrink wrap cause there to be a crack in the basket right next to the side handle. Instead of trying to return it, I was able to Gorilla Glue the basket and reinforce that with some duct tape. It was a $10 item and not worth returning for the crack, thus we will keep it.

Great idea; poor execution.

Ergonomics are good. Capacity is good. Durability is very poor.The middle handle is prone to break away from the basket after several uses. Every one I have purchased has broken in this way. I contacted Sterilite Customer Service and was informed that there is NO WARRANTY! In other words: So sad; too bad. I suggested that the product design could be improved to reinforce that area; there was almost palpable DISinterest.The hip-hugger basket is a great idea, but Sterilite has come up short in executing it, and product support does-not-apply.

Nice Large Baskets, Great for Laundry and More!

I purchased this set of "Sterilite 1.25 Bushel Hip Laundry Basket-Aqua Chrome, Set of 6" and I am very happy with my purchase. What a great buy! I have a family of 7 so these are perfect for my weekly laundry sorting. After clothes are laundered (washed and dried), I use these baskets to sort our huge pile of clean laundry into each person's own individual laundry basket. Everyone then takes his/her basket to their room to fold and put away. These were such an affordable price for a set of 6. Way cheaper than buying baskets individually. In addition to laundry, I have used these Sterilite baskets for tons of stuff inside and outside the home: to store shoes by the front door, to organize toys in the kids room, under bed storage, for holding balls and outside toys, garden supplies, husband's tools, to keep stuff organized in the car, holding books and homeschooling stuff together and transporting to/from the library or park, etc. Also note that these are a true teal color in person, very pretty. (On my monitor and phone the color looks much lighter than they do in person.) I would definitely recommend these nice, large baskets to anyone; they will come in handy for so many things!

Well-Made Laundry Basket

I live in a townhouse wherein the washer and dryer are two flight down in the basement.I used to buy the inexpensive laundry baskets and after a few months of constant use, they would break on one side in the middle. So, after getting my finger stuck in the break and having to deal with the annoying pain temporarily, I decided to buy a laundry basket that was well con- structed with supports on both sides.I purchased this laundry basket and am very happy!

I am enjoying this basket. I am using it in the back of my suv to keep things organized. It has a grip handle to pull towards me to use like a drawer. This basket is very sturdy. We also bought another one for a traditional laundry basket. Wonderful product. Go get one for yourself. # sweepstakes
