I purchased the Stokke Steps high chair in black for my second baby. First baby we were in a very small space so we used a high chair seat that went on a dining chair and then eventually a booster seat. This was the ultimate lynch pin of why I choose the Stokke. Everyone recommended the traditional Stokke seat but that is not my vibe. These looks cool and funny in my space, more like an art piece than a baby/Montessori item (no offense I have Lovevery toys but that isn’t my personal design style). I that I can use the tray or remove it and push baby right up to the dining table and not loose a dining chair for an adult. Only issue with the tray is it seems to take in water when I clean it and I am not sure if it is all draining out when drying. If it wasn’t for the tray filling with water, the straps and the price I would give it a 5 star rating. I am boujee and I know it, so I bought it and just rolled my eyes at the price because I do use it everyday, at minimum twice a day if not more as I am a SAHM.

Stable, aesthetically appealing. Supports my 5 month old comfortably in a sitting position without him slumping and can be easily adjusted for when he gets bigger. He is on the bigger side and the stepps high chair seems to have more room than the Tripp Trapp. So far it seems easy to clean and I was pleased to find out that the tray didn't stain with carrot purée. The only downside is the price, which really adds up with all the accessories but I hope that he'll use it as a chair as he gets older to justify the price.

Pros:- Sturdy- Nice looking- Highly adjustable to make little one comfortable- Relatively compact- Will hopefully last a long timeCons:- Buckle on the baby seat is very stiff and a bit of a pain to click together- The food tray has a slightly rough surface which makes it (a) harder to wipe down and (b) you can't attach any suction bowls or plates which is really annoying
At first we really enjoyed our steps high chair, however, after using it for about 2-3 months, we noticed there’s some significant flaws.First of all, there are so many nooks and crannies on the tray, which make it impossible to clean. It also stains very easily, especially if we eat carrot that day. But the most frustrating thing is that, every time I try to wash it in the sink, water tends to trap inside the tray through the clip on feature, and there’s no way of getting it out, even if I shake very vigorously, there is always water droplets coming out. We bought this high chair for our grandson on my daughter’s recommendation. It is very easy to clean, put together and he is so happy in it. The straps are easy to take off to clean and then equally as easy to put back together. The plastic material of the tray is someas6 to wipe down and doesn’t stain with even spaghetti sauce! We are very happy to have made this purchase.
We got the chair with the hazy grey legs but the color was more of a dark brown then grey.Switched it for the black one and love it! Perfect for a toddler who wiggles on their chair. The round seat prevents them from falling in the sides.
The tray is such a terrible design, I wish I did not register and keep this high chair because of it! It is impossible to fully clean due to the cracks and crevices all along the outer edge of the tray. There is mold because of this. I would not recommend this high chair and look elsewhere.
When my daughter outgrew her high chair, we strapped a booster seat into one of our dining chairs. But cleaning was always a hassle because crumbs would get in and under the booster, in between the booster and the chair, and my daughter was never comfortable because the booster set up didn't allow her back or feet to be supported while she's sitting. With this beautifully designed chair (of course it was designed by mamas!), my small person could sit much more comfortably at the dining table, making meal time easier for everyone. And it's a cinch to clean. And it looks super stylish. Thank you for creating this awesome chair!!!
