I bought this mixer and seriously wish I'd purchased a more expensive, higher quality model and will be doing so shortly. This mixer is extremely loud and the low setting is faster than the medium on many mixers. It jumps to a high speed at the start and then slows down a bit but then races as you move up the speed. Food hits the wall if you aren't really careful. So disappointing.

I had an older version of this mixer and stand combo and the difference in quality is significant. The new model feels flimsy and brittle. Some of the design changes aren't positive. Eg, the way the mixer clips in to the stand - I'm sure the little plastic lugs will snap. The older fitting was steel. There is no bowl speed with the new model and there is no beater eject button so be prepared for messy hands. I do like the slimer mixing bowl.

Very much get what you pay for, good little unit for a step above a handheld mixer. Would recommend for someone just starting out or doesn't do much baking - great all rounder. Light and easy to move out of the cupboard as you need. My first mixer was the older mixer pro. Lasted for years and was a great way to get into baking without a big purchase. This new model is cheaper to purchase and unfortunately it shows in the product. The beaters are a very thin metal and the unit clearly won't last as long this time. I had to swap to another mixmaster instead as this just wouldn't do for my needs now - difficult to make the purchase online without seeing it first.
I bought this so I didn’t have to pull out the big mixmaster just to whip cream from the Xmas pav. Not only did Myer deliver faster than expected the week of Xmas, it’s a nifty little mixer with ample power for the job that fits in its own storage container. Fantastic for keeping the cupboards tidy.
Beater design is upside down. Maybe wide part should be below narrow part if it is to work at all. Mixture climbs up the beaters to the point where beaters connect into the body of the mixer. Useless for cakes, biscuits, batters. Lowest speed too fast. Very disappointed.
I received this hand mixer in the middle of the lockdown which came in handy! So far I have used the beater and whisk. Have not had a chance to use the dough hooks yet. I used the beater for most of my baking, but find that using the whisk attachment for breaking up flour works much better with fewer lumps. The beater and whisk are pretty straight forward to attach and detach. Just when. you are detaching, turn off the mixer for a while as the attachments can get quite hot. Having the storage container is great so everything is in one place, and is stored neatly upright. My wooden spoon has officially been replaced!
I have always trusted Sunbeam Mixmaster as my mixer (have had the previous one for 20 years of baking). I thought I would upgrade with latest hand held mixer and found myself back to a Mixmaster as so reliable and am impressed with latest storage setup. Looking forward to many more years of baking with my faithful Mixmaster !
I had only used this mixer 4 times, then it broke. I am unable to turn it on. Bring it back to JB, exchange for a new one. Today, I turn it on to mix my cream. The mixer only run for 10 minutes then no response again. No matter what I do. I had change to different power point, also reinstall it. No working. I give up on this product, no more for me. Bring it back to JB for a refund this time.
I have had a Sunbeam Mixmaster Hand Mixer for many years so when I damaged the beaters on my existing mixer, I was delighted to find I was able to replace it with a similar Sunbeam appliance. However my new one is even better - it comes in a very convenient storage case which makes it easy to store upright in the cupboard saving space. And it has dough hooks as well as beaters giving it an extra function. The hand mixer is so easy to grab for a quick mixing job, it has various speeds and the clean-up is so simple. Loved my old Sunbeam Hand mixer - love my new one even more!
