We have 2 Litter Robots and were looking for an alternative to their clay litter, which makes a terrible mess when it's wet and makes the LRs very difficult to clean. I bought a couple different kinds to try out and the Sustainably Yours ended up working the best. It clumps really well and leaves no residue in the LRs so they are much easier to clean now. One 2 small issues are that it doesn't trap odor all that great so especially stinky waste will be noticeable. It also tracks all over the place so there's a lot more vacuuming to be done. But given how easy the LRs are to clean now, these 2 problems are acceptable to deal with.

Okay, I was doubtful but decided to try this litter due to reviews & Jackson Galaxy's endorsement. And they were all correct--this is the best litter ever!I got the large grain and will continue to do so. (Yes, it tracks, but all cat litters except Breeze pellets do.) Not only does all wet matter clump together in concrete hard lumps--and there are NO, I mean ZERO little clumps left scattered throughout the box--but less pleasant waste becomes dessicated in a relatively short time. This means waking up at 6 AM and having to clean the box first thing is far less unpleasant.I'm in my 50s, have had indoor only cats since I was 22, and have used just about ever litter out there. Until this, ScoopAway unscented was the best. Now, it's a distant dusty second ... MoreOkay, I was doubtful but decided to try this litter due to reviews & Jackson Galaxy's endorsement. (That's why I brought Breeze pellets, but our younger cats refused to use the box.) I know since his vet recommended the litter with no dust, this litter will be much healthier for Oscar. And it's unscented! Yay! People, added scent is unhealthy for your cats. It doesn't really improve on odor problems except maybe for the humans for a short while. Only a clean box cuts down on odors, and Sustainably Yours does that!Plus, this litter is so much lighter per volume! If you're older or have arthritis, I think you'll like the litter box weighing much less. (The first time I went to pull the box out of the litterbox enclosure, I about fell backwards because I was used to much more weight.)This litter is expensive and we have only two cats. But Oscar & Levon took to it right away, and it's too clean and great to go back to regular, dusty clumping litter.

I have been using this large grain littler for over 7 months now. It clumps fantastically. BEST CLUMPING I've ever experienced which, one bag is pretty expensive, but it saves litter in the long run because the clumps don't break apart. Also because it's LIGHTWEIGHT, scooping is 10 times easier. When the time comes to dump out the whole litter box for a cleaning it doesn't need anything beyond a quick rince. Even the clumps on the bottom don't stick to the box! It traps the smell of urine but not so much poop. Although my cats eat canned food so those turds are extra stinky.I started off as the directions said and just put a layer of it in with their old litter and my cats didn't have any trouble transitioning. It does track a little more than clay litter, and they ... MoreI have been using this large grain littler for over 7 months now. Also the large grain from my experience doesn't track as much as the smaller grain.I've been waiting until I felt confident after seeing long term use of this product before leaving a review. I am happy with my purchase and will be sticking with this litter from now on.

I have been using an array of Clumping litters, mostly Tidy Cats. I am ok with it, but my current mission was to minimize the litter tracking on my hard wood floors continually for my 2 cats. I did get one of those feet matts and actually it helped a lot. Then I started trying different litter types. I picked up this sustainably yours formula, the larger granule was supposed to be the better pick for tracking issues. I am realistic, I don't think you will ever eliminate tracking but I do want to minimize it. First try, the good news is my cats took right to it and were very comfortable using it right away even with 2 other boxes with their regular litter in it, near by. It seems to be better on dust issues so that is a plus. Too early to tell on longevity and odor ... MoreI have been using an array of Clumping litters, mostly Tidy Cats. It is everywhere even with their new litter matt. The quest continues.
I mostly love this litter - it clumps better and faster than any litter I have ever used. It has no added fragrance and the scent of the actual litter is almost indiscernible (at least to me with my sinus issues). I'm retired and home all day and since both of my little fur beasts prefer not to bother with covering their stinky poops I scoop those out ASAP and spray a little Caldrea or Mrs. Meyers so I'm not sure how odor control works for stinky poops over a period of time, although I can say that there is never a urine stench, even when there are several clumps in the box (my girl has hyperthyroidism and pees A LOT). I absolutely love that it really is almost 100% dust free. The inside of the black liter box still looks black and shiny - not dull gray from dust ... MoreI mostly love this litter - it clumps better and faster than any litter I have ever used. I absolutely love that it really is almost 100% dust free. The inside of the black liter box still looks black and shiny - not dull gray from dust accumulation, and my babies never exit the box with a coating of litter dust, as happened with other natural litters in the past (yes, that was gross). It really is great litter. My only complaint with it is that my girl seems to track it EVERY WHERE. My gigantic, big-footed, long haired boy tracks very little, but somehow the smaller short-haired kitty with dainty little paws manages to leave a significant trail of litter every time she goes. The problem may be more with the cat than the litter. So I sweep a lot.
We tried all 3 varieties. Super fine granules required vacuuming daily. This stuff tracked everywhere, and I mean everywhere in the home. The litter clumps, that's for sure. The clumps were like cement, and made us wish we had a jackhammer to use when cleaning the box.Jackson Galaxy recommends Sustainability Yours, but our experience gave us nothing to recommend about it. We have 3 or 4 bags left. Petco wouldn't allow a refund. We were beyond the date of return I guess. Now we have several large bags of this stuff that we have no use for.
Have been using this litter for approximately two years (when it's available) and it is such a blessing. No tracking in the house. We used to go crazy cleaning the floors because of litter tracking that even went to the far end of the house (bedrooms), yuck! Not with Sustainably Yours. We have a waffle track pad at the cat door (from CATIO) that catches the few grains, if any. Only need to empty it every other month. Not much there. RECOMMEND HIGHLY!
I foster and pet sit kittens and adult cats, and twice this product has quickly alerted me to the presence of blood in a cat’s urine. The pink clump was impossible to miss, and allowed me to seek medical help long before I ever would have noticed with the old fashioned grey clay litter. This is worth the price tag and ultimately will save you money. It clumps super hard and never gets stinky, so you’ll make a single bag go a really long way. And, it could save the life of your cat. Highly recommend.
I spent the past year testing out a lot of the newer litters because my medium-haired cat kept getting his paws gummed up with wet clay. This litter is my favorite because it doesn’t stick to his paws and it’s really easy to scoop. It does track a little and it’s not cheap, but I’ve found it to be way better than clay, pine, wheat, corn, newspaper and silica litters. I recommend this type of Sustainably Yours (I think there are 3 different versions) because the larger coarser grains track less. Also, the finer grains are a little slippery on our concrete basement floor when I step on them, but the coarser grains are not.
My cat was sneezing and itching sometimes and not sure if the litter is the problem, so I wanted to try non clay.Texture is nice, no noticeable scent, biodegradable, non toxic, has some fine fiber dust but not like the pigpen cloud even the 99% dust free generates. All things I loved. First day seemed ok but by second day it all went wrong. At first I noticed the overpowering poo smell. While pee clumped like a dream, poo was not clumping or even coating and there was zero odor control. My cat started bolting out of the litterbox and once sneezed violently bouncing four times in a row. Neither was her norm.By end of the second day the whole box and entire bathroom reeked of poo and also almost a vomit like smell. When I was in the bathroom checking out the bad smell my cat actually came in and sat on the top entry lid for a minute and gave me a mournful gaze before leaving without using it. That was a first. I got the message and ran out for replacement litter and changed it out that night.
