I was told this piece of kit can show two tanks pressures when used with independent twin tanks. This is partially true, you can have two transmitters attached you just can't see both pressures at the same time on a single screen. Hence the 'almost perfect' title. This is without doubt the best dive computer I have ever had. The screen is crystal clear, you can fully customise the displays which means I can get rid of all the data I find I never really need and have all the stuff there that I do! Great product

EON Steel is absolutely awesome, big colour screen with a lot of customisation paired with wireless sync avilities (both iOS and Android) makes it very easy to use and store dive logs on any device. Also, it is worth noting that Suunto provides free updates via MD5 software which makes computer future-profed as well. Highly recommended.
I've been diving the Suunto Eon Core for several years now and I've loved it. I use it for all my diving but the few short falls it has as you get into bigger, deeper dives the Eon Steel Black picks up all the slack. It has over double the battery life so the chances of it dying in my bag over night with multi day diving are all gone. One huge improvement is the option to switch between the fused RGBM2 algorithm Suunto uses in most of their high end computers and the widely used Buhlmann algorithm. Being able to switch between the two to match my personal needs as well as whoever I'm diving with is amazing. Menus are super easy to navigate and the customizable options for your display screen and dive modes is awesome. Love it.
Great, product. I really like it. Few upgrades that are a absolute must:1. To view 2 cylinder pressures at the same time. Absolute must, not negotiable for a computer of this level.2. As a 52 year old, I cannot read the reading headings underwater. The format and brightness used by Suunto makes it is extremely difficult to read e.g. dive time, max,m etc. They do not stand out enough and are too small. The current what appears as a dull grey colour is not readable for me underwater. Size of the of the smallest display reading - for example bottom right in prominent view - is also small. So I memorize each reading's location and have to squint to read the smaller numbers, despite the large screen size.3. Glare when near the surface. I’ve owned the sunnto steel computer for a couple of years now and in general I’m quite happy with its performance, however like others have mentioned it’s about time that two cylinder pressures should be viewable, to make it a truly versatile and desirable computer for sidemount.

You can connect up to 10 Tank PODs to EON Core and Steel but see only one gas at a time."The process to "toggle" between gases is ridiculously complicated and an unnecessary "task" while underwater. Excellent battery life. Having the buttons on the face instead of the side is easier to use with my dry gloves.
