Swann Master-Series 4K HD 4 Camera 8 Channel NVR Security System - SWNVK-876804

This product 876804 was advertised as having the NVR8580 NVR and the cameras were NHD-887MSFB, that was what was advertised. So purchased. When I got the box home it only had the lower specified cameras the 875 (so no talkback, smaller range of vision etc) These were the cheaper cameras than the specifications. So I took the whole thing back. Got a full refund. So, the moral of the story is, take a snapshot of the AD, show the staff the AD - If I did not prove that what was advertised versus what I received, noone would believe me. So, to the other people that wrote a comment - you dot the dud deal. Easy installation.

Great picture quality. Found four cameras with the view angles wasnt enough to cover my desired boundary. Better off with six camera package. Easier and cheaper than adding cameras afterwards.

Good cameras

Easy install (besides being in the roof of the house and drilling down walls on a 36 degree day). Great camera quality when paired to my smart tv that supports 4K. Negative would be that I get a lot of false alerts from leafs moving even after removing them from detection area in settings and lowering sensitivity. Also crap that colour infrared won’t stay on it will only flash. Overall good product beside the 140 false notifications since I installed 4 hours ago

Great features and quality

Got this system few weeks ago. I like it a lot, easy to setup and install. My wife help me installed this system, so far we like it, we get 2 cameras inside the house, one in the back and another in front. Works super, color at night is a plus also the sound. Seems be done with good materials.

Not fit for purpose, don't waste your money.

Absolutely terrible. Will be returning to shop. Unreliable, poor quality cameras and nvr, cannot be configured as swann has locked it down heavily. Does not pair with other swann ip cameras

Powerful system

I was after a solid system with wired cameras (no recharging batteries for me) and this system fits the bill well. Installation was only as difficult as pulling cables through the ceiling - the system itself made things quite easy. That said, it's still a highly configurable system with extensive options on the NVR, so you can really get as complex as you like or keep it simple. The phone app works really well also and responds quickly even when away from home. I deducted one star because the cameras are made of plastic (I'm used to working with Hikvision bullet cams which are metal) though seems a good quality plastic. Also the video image records with a sizable "Swann" logo in the corner which I haven't figured out how to remove. Otherwise quite happy.

Replacement of Arlo System

I purchased this system to replace the useless Arlo system. So far I'm impressed though I'm still working through what it can do and checking all of the features has, only been up and running for two days. Was really easy to set up thank God. Already looking to expand love it, so far it has not disappointed.

Terrible System, Do Not Purchase

Installed in July 2021, Got everything set up and the endless notifications began. I would get over 100 a day. Attempted several adjustments on the set up menu, but this system does not do any of the things the menu says it will do. Called tech support and escalated to a tier 2 technician. He had me download software onto a laptop and connect it to the NVR. He remoted in and adjusted sensitivity settings, set up the privacy zones and updated the cameras. It seemed to help a little but still got way to many activations. I went back into set up and again adjusted the sensitivity of the cameras. Still tons of notifications. True Detect does not work!!!!! Picks up anything and everything that moves. All of the previous setting that I could change would no longer work. Tried to adjust camera sensitivity, but it was grayed out and would not work. Tried to adjust the privacy zone, but it stated the cameras do not support that. No other adjustable setting worked anymore either. Called Tech Support and was advised the cameras in this system do not support any adjustment and never have. The firmware update updated it to grey our all adjustments because they never work anyways. He advised I could previously adjust them, but they didn't actually have any impact on the cameras. Unknown why the first tech support guy changed those settings if they didn't ever work or at least tell me the cameras never supported any adjustments in the first place. This system is just basic cameras that record without any fine tuning for your particular environment. They don't support any customization that the NVR says it will do. Don't waste your money on this system and go with another brand. Will be returning this system and going with a system that actually works

Very good image and accessible remotely

The installation is pretty easy but if you don’t know how to run cables through your house, you’ll want to hire someone to do so. If you don’t mind the Ethernet cables being exposed, you can do it your self and buy some cable casing to try to make it less of an eye soar. Each camera comes with 60 feet of Ethernet line which should be plenty for almost any home. Image quality is great. There is an app so you can be anywhere in the world and log in to see the video feeds.

Wrong product selection

The system works as it is designed but not the way I thought it would work. So it does work and was easy to install. BUT, I was expecting this system to be configurable to avoid false positive alarms and notifications. As it is, the NHD-875 cant be configured to ignore segments of the picture (eg the cars passing on the road) so my phone is beeping for no good reason. I thought this camera could, but apparently not. Would need to have NHD-885/887 cameras for that type of functionality. To say Im disappointed is an understatement. GOOD guys and Swann need to do a functionality by model matrix so buyers can compare the comparative features so correct product selection could be made.
