SwitchBot Bot - Button Pusher

They are easy to install... but only after searching for a how-to video on YouTube. It has an instruction manual but it was a bit confusing for me. But after installing it (which was very easy), it works as advertised. I don't have the hub so I'm using its bluetooth connection. It works as expected and since it runs on batteries, I would expect that it would be more cost efficient to use rather than a smart bulb since a smart bulb would require it to be always \"turned-on\". To be fair to smart bulbs... the smart switch is not as discreet as a smart bulb. It can lessen the aesthetics of your regular light switches. All things considered, I would recommend it!

A great smart solution

The SwitchBot Bot is a perfect solution to bringing smart home functionality to may situations.We have a 3-way switch on our driveway lights and I could not find a cost-effective solution to add a smart switch to this circuit. Simply installed a SwitchBot Bot on one of the switches, connected to our Google Home and it works like a charm!I also put a Bot on the switch for our oil-fired furnace/water heater. We heat with wood, so the only reason the furnace would run was to heat the water. We can now control it through Google Home to only run when we need hot water so the furnace stays off the rest of the time...saves money! Excellent Camera Quality, Functionality & Best Value for Money

Don't be fooled by the small camera package. It has one of the best picture and video quality that I have ever seen. The camera also comes with an array of useful functionalities to monitor your home; it has night vision mode, motion detection, custom detection zone and can even set the camera to only recognize human (very useful for me as I have a pug at home)With it's built-in microphone and speakers, it's really convenient for me to speak to my guest who is waiting at my door front while I am on my way home.I am always concern of recurring fees for the footage that I save into. Great idea, missing a couple of things

It's a great product and a wonderful idea. In my opinion is missing 2 very important things:1. because Homekit doesn't have an option for pressers (stateless buttons), to make it work really well with Homekit, an automation needs to be created to change the state of device to off, which should be an option, instead, swithbot has a presser mode that doesn't work in homekit because the device stays with the off state when pressed. It's just not intuitive for that and I struggled for a couple of weeks to get it to work with a workaround.2. The pressure of the pressing, or at least the angle cannot be controlled. The button of the device I have attached the bot to is a panel, the bot is very strong and I fear the panel's button will be damaged because it's too much ... MoreIt's a great product and a wonderful idea. A soft push would be more than enough in this case.Apart from that, it does what it needs to do. More than great! Top in its category!

I was concerned if such a robot finger bot would be able to fulfil my requirements, which are: to push a Swiss Blinds switch, be able to set a schedule, and push it in a proper pattern and speed. This device is worth its money. The device itself is surprisingly well built, good quality, looks nicer than in the photos, has a strong motor, and allows you to schedule and automate tasks without a hub!!! The app also seems well made, no issues. Custom mode allows fancier adjustments! I was concerned that the strength required to push a button would de-attach the device, but the tape is super strong!It is an affordable way to make an apartment smart.

Smart bot not that smart

Bought the smartbot as I assumed it could be linked with app via wifi. It only works with blue tooth in a clear range of 50 m. It was meant to switch on our coffee machine preheat in the morning, but being upstairs it doesn’t work and only switches on when you come down the stairs which defeats the purpose. If it only works with bluetooth I feel it is meant for an extremely lazy person. Still cute and nifty, not for our intended use.
