So pleased with this product! The interchangeable plates are easy to pop out and put in the dishwasher and the rest is easy to clean. Makes perfect toasted sandwiches using panini or French toast plates as well as the sandwich plates. Also great for French toast and panini. Will be buying more plates to add to the repertoire.

We love our waffle maker. It was a Christmas present for my 10 year old son. He’s already tried 2 X waffle recipes and they were both perfect. Crisp amd even. Jaffles are equally as good. Just as I remember them from childhood. Super easy to clean. Love the cases the plates come in. Safe for buddying young chefs too. Donut and bagel plates are next on our wish list. There are more than 10 to collect.

This toasted snack maker barely lasted a year. I bought it last year for my birthday from JBHiFi at North Lakes. I am thoroughly disappointed. At first it was okay...except the jaffle slots are shallow. The waffles are a good size. BUT from the first use absolutely EVERYTHING leaks down into the space under the element. And it's so hard to clean, everything sticks to the metal, plastic and surrounds. It's impossible to clean it properly. It gets baked on and dirty and then it smokes. Now it's dead...probably due to the food being able to leak down into the element...exactly a year from when I bought it. Just so disappointed and annoyed. This has been the biggest waste of money. Great idea, poor execution for what we primarily use this for. For the Jaffle function, the plates sit inside the seal, which means any liquids (from tomatoes etc) spills underneath directly onto the heating element causing smoke. Most others with this design make sure the plates site over the top of the elements, so any leakage does not come into contact with the elements. Unfortunately, we will be getting rid of this and searching for another style. Other functions we used are the waffle plates which worked well.
I'm really happy with this appliance. For people who need to eat gluten free bread, the smaller size of the plates is perfect. I haven't been able to have a jaffle for years because the plates of other machines are always too big for the small loaves. If it was easier to clean under the heating element - and all the plates were easy to get in Australia - I would give it 5 stars.
We wanted one of these for ages and finally bought one, primarily for the waffle option. I've lost count of how many times we've had waffles in the past month, but needless to say we won't be going out for waffles any time soon. Working out how much mixture to add so it doesn't overflow is pretty quick and then you shouldn't have too many issues with mess and cleaning. The removable plates make cleaning easy. The default batter recipe is good, but to go up another level, use gluten free flour, 1/3rd teaspoon of xanthan gum and add vanilla essence - light, crispy but soft inside!
Absolutely loved this little snack maker. Cleverly designed and robustly built. Easy to use and clean and doesn't occupy too much space. The fact that you can make several different types of snacks with a single device is great however the down side is that the additional plates are very expensive ($35 each on average). It means if you are obsessed with having them all you have to fork out an extra $500 which is too much!
I really love the multifunction flexibility of this appliance. The quality of the appliance, hinges and clips are really sturdy. The one star is removed as cheese (in the toastie) or batter (in the waffles) does ooze through the back into the element section below plates - while this can be cleaned it isnt ideal, and could be mitigated through a deeper plate to keep the ooze at the plate level. Otherwise, i love it and use it daily!

The waffles came out crunchy on the outside, fluffy inside, and the jaffles were lovely and brown all over. The plates were really easy to remove and hardly needed cleaning. I love that if the plates get scratched or damaged, you can just replace them instead of the whole machine. I read a lot of reviews before purchasing and I agree with others that you need to be careful not to overfill them, but forewarned is forearmed, so I was careful how much I added. I made my favourite ham, cheese and tomato jaffles and the plates were well and truly deep enough. I agree that the other plates are not easy to purchase, but if you're prepared to shop around I managed to find most of them, albeit from 2-3 different suppliers. The only improvement I can suggest is that it would have been nice to receive a small non-stick utensil with the machine, for lifting jaffles or waffles out of the plates. I have other non-stick items, but they're a bit big, so a bit of overkill for this job. All in all though, I am VERY happy with my purchase!
We purchased this sandwich maker for the soul purpose of making jaffles and it does that very well. The price for this unit is a bit high imo, however we got it on special. The waffle making plates are amazing as we made waffles for the 1st time ever and this machine nailed it! After looking at negative reviews from other people it seems to be more operator error than the machine itself.
