I have many gripes about this product. Firstly, perhaps it is strictly geared to undereye puffiness and not dark/sunken undereye. I'll assume thats the case cause as someone with genetically dark/sunken undereyes this product does absolutely nothing and i can say that confidently cause ive used it for about 3 years! My second gripe is that it gets a thick film around the top of the bottle and inside the cap. I have to clean the film reguarly otherwise the bottle just gets gross. EXTREMELY HARSH ON SKIN- TAKE THIS AS A WARNING

I’m not the kind that has to use sensitive branded skin care items. I put off trying this for awhile, but I’ve fallen in love with my ordinary skin care routine. I decided to purchase with my last order. No issues with the test patch on my arm, but the morning after my 1st time using this I woke up with EXTREMELY dry/scab like patches under my eyes. I’ve babysat my under eye for weeks- when it seemed like it was 100% back to normal I’d do my old routine and I cannot even but the moisturizer on without it happening again. It feels like I used it once & I’ve been reaping the havoc it caused for over two months now. I am so disappointed in my experience with this product. Good but not for intended purpose

This serum was not doing anything for my dark undereyes. I read about caffeine for dark undereyes only after buying this and learned it only works for one specific cause of undereye circles. So that's probably why some people see results and others don't. I also learned caffeine is an antioxidant, so Ive been using this as an all over face serum for antioxidant support in order to use up the product. Ive been enjoying it using it this way. It absorbs almost instantly, making it easy to layer with other skincare products. EGCG is helpful for oily skin types in regulating sebum so I like that I'm getting that ingredient too. I will not repurchase this but I can't honestly say it's a bad product.

I have normal to dry skin and i am not prone to breakouts or dryness when switching to a new product. I have been using products by the Ordinary for the last few years. I used Buffet as a serum before applying moisturizer, but it did not do enough and my skin still felt dry after a few hours. I decided to try the Hyaluronic acid and Niacinamide serums, along with the Caffeine serum. My face felt amazing after the very first day of using all 3 products. My undereye bags were all smoothed out! But within 2-3 days, the skin under my eyes and in my eyelid contours started to get tight and my skin started to peel. I will keep using the Hyaluronic acid and Niacinamide serums - they are definitely helping my face feel moisturized - but I sadly cannot continue using the caffeine serum. It's too hard on my face.

I stopped for about 3 weeks as a test and I noticed the darkness coming back by the end of the second week, puffiness before the end of the first. I also use a cold crystal roller to help massage it in (please don’t use your fingers to rub! Skin around the eye is super delicate). So I recommend gently dabbing with a clean finger then using a roller. Overall, I’m super happy with this product and recommend anyone with super noticeable dark under eyes/puffiness to give it a try! Just be sure to patch test for a week or so to make sure you’re not allergic or breakout. I was recommended behind the ear as the skin there is very similar similar to your eyes.
