The Ordinary Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG 30 ml

But tonight, I decided to give it a try at the suggestion of a store associate who suggested I could do a patch test on a different area of my skin to get some idea if the product might cause me problems. She said at worst, I would be able to return the item if it turned out to cause me problems. In the end though, it seemed that I may have been worrying over something I shouldn't have been so concerned about, seeing as how this serum seems very mild/did not cause any type of irritation to me either on the patch test I did on my had or on my undereye areas. I did notice it seemed to brighten up this area for me to some degree even just after applying and letting it soak in. However, I was told by the associate I spoke with that this is a product I could and may wanted to use as much as every day if it is not seeming to cause me irritation or other concerns. So I would think that the real, more lasting and substantial brightening effects will come over time with continual and consistent use. Given that the formula is mild and did not cause me irritation, applies smoothly, and already seemed to brighten my undereye area somewhat, combined with what seemed to me like a very reasonable price (I think I purchased it for around $7 or so including tax), it is something I would recommend giving a try if you want something to brighten your eyes over time beyond concealer. I would say, even for people with sensitive skin (unless you have a specific medical condition, possibly) this product is very gentle, easy, and safe to use. I like it so far and look forward to seeing the long term effects over time!

Absolute STAPLE

I actually bought this product awhile ago and kind of forgot i had it, so didnt use it. I recently began using it daily and i am upset that it took me this long. I dont know about, or expect any long term results from continued use (that would be a bonus tho!), but i can say that this stuff works IMMEDIATELY for darkness and puffiness under the eyes. I'm about to turn 43, and have only recently gotten serious about a regular skincare routine and i will never be without this. I saw some reviews about it being drying, but i assume those people are not following up with a good moisturizer? It does not dry my eyes out. Gradually making a difference...

I decided to order this after reading it as being a ‘miracle for dark circles’. It boasts 5% caffeine which makes it good for brightening the undereye skin, and reducing any puffiness. This is a yellow tinted serum with an almost gel-like consistency which easily absorbs into the skin. I apply this morning and night, even on my eyelids, and always use this before I apply any other skincare products, so it gets the chance to seep right into my skin and work its magic. The dropper is really handy as it allows you to control the exact amount you want - I usually apply 2 drops and gently tap it under my eyes and blend outwards to soak into the skin. If I wear it during the day, I leave it around 5 minutes to set in, before moving on to moisturizer. Happily surprised

I’ve recently started using a lineup of The Ordinary products and am enjoying them so far. Despite that, I did not have high hopes for this eye serum. I was mainly looking for a dark circle remedy and thought I’d give this a try on a whim even though it’s classified as a “depuffing” serum. Boy did it prove me wrong! Immediately after use I noticed my dark circles were less visible and my eye area was slightly brighter. In only a weeks time, the results have been even more significant. The dark circles that were once very purple toned in colour are now very faded and hardly even noticeable and my entire eye area is more even and brighter. I've been using this for only 3 days and I'm seeing results! I've had melasma for years and I didn't expect that this product would fade it. I've never used anything to fade my melasma and I didn't buy this for that purpose. I have hereditary little pillows under my eyes and when I have seasonal or environmental allergies, they get more swollen and I get allergic shiners. So, I got this to try to tame my allergy eyes.Well, for the past 3 days, I've put this on in the AM under my eye cream. At night, I wash my face and do my normal routine without this serum. I have only been using this product for a little over a month. It feels absolutely fantastic when applied.A little bit about me: I have a nightmare disorder, and essentially try to not sleep, because I’m afraid of the nightmares. (I know sleep is one of the most important things we can do for or bodies and minds, so I’m not helping myself there).I use this morning and night, and like it so far! I haven’t noticed much difference with the dark circles under my eyes, but, like I said, I get very little sleep.Sadly, I knocked it over into the sink the other day when I was applying it, and a bunch spilled out, so I am so disappointed! Redness and Peeling

I have normal to dry skin and i am not prone to breakouts or dryness when switching to a new product. I have been using products by the Ordinary for the last few years. I used Buffet as a serum before applying moisturizer, but it did not do enough and my skin still felt dry after a few hours. I decided to try the Hyaluronic acid and Niacinamide serums, along with the Caffeine serum. My face felt amazing after the very first day of using all 3 products. My undereye bags were all smoothed out! But within 2-3 days, the skin under my eyes and in my eyelid contours started to get tight and my skin started to peel. Underneath the peeling was very red and irritated skin. The entire area was sensitive to the touch and my skin stung every time I applied any product. I stopped using the Caffeine product and it took about a week for all of the skin to peel off and the redness to dissipate. When my skin seemed back to normal, I decided to try the caffeine again to confirm if that was the culprit. Long story short, it took about 2-3 days for my skin to start peeling and the redness and stinging started up again. I have never had a reaction to a product like this before. I will keep using the Hyaluronic acid and Niacinamide serums - they are definitely helping my face feel moisturized - but I sadly cannot continue using the caffeine serum. It's too hard on my face.

Alright, so I bought this serum for the first time last month. I started using it 09/13/22 (so, a little over 5 weeks so far), and I have used it every single night (*only at night). I uploaded a picture just to show you guys what I'm dealing with, for context. I have not noticed any particular difference yet, but I would absolutely recommend it and will continue using it. With skincare, regardless of the brand, it all comes down to patience, education, and consistency, in my opinion. My sleeping pattern has been devastating for the majority of this year (for a bunch of reasons); I do my best to keep myself hydrated, but not every day is a good day on that matter, and perhaps 5 weeks is not enough for me (in particular) to notice a difference yet. Case in point - no amount of this product was ever going to erase the dark blue puffy circles I had under my eyes as long as I slept 5h/night and worked for 15h/day. It’s just how it is.That being said….. the caffeine solution didn’t do anything to help. It’s very drying and didn’t leave my skin feeling comfortable at all, especially when worn under concealer.
