I love this peptide serum. I switched from the Ordinary’s Buffet serum to this one a few months ago and have had good results even in a short period of time. It’s not a product that will give immediate results but I started to see a difference after 4 weeks. My skin has looked smooth, even, and plump. I don’t have wrinkles but I’m using this more as a preventative. I usually use about 2 drops to cover my face and neck. It spreads easily, absorbs quickly, and leaves a slightly tacky feel that goes away after you put on moisturizer. I typically use this at night after toner and before my retinol serum and moisturizer. I haven’t had any issues with it interfering or interacting with the rest of my skincare routine (although don’t mix it with pure vitamin c).

Really do like this product & have used daily for couple years now. Not sure if I’m not using properly & using too much. Have noticed significant under eye bags forming, even with consistent good sleep habits. Maybe too much HA 🤷🏼♀️Gonna try to use much less on application, over next few months before making decision to stop. As for the wrinkles. I’d say I’ve only seen minor improvement, even though I’m extremely consistent. My skin is definitely better then before & I’d absolutely recommend to those who have very minimal minor wrinkles or wanting to prevent. Just be careful, it’s easy to use too much. Made this mistake myself.

Long-time TO customer - bought my first Matrixyl this month with the expectation that I have always had from TO. I have no illusions about what to expect from skincare (ie no reverting back to flawless young skin) - but now only use TO products. I love the transparency and care that they factor in to their business model and I feel the products are utterly safe to use.Matrixyl - a little goes a long way - if it feels sticky, you've overdone it. I finger-pat it in the areas that need some love and then layer with a little natural moisturizing factors + ha. By the time I've brushed my teeth everything is settled and absorbed! I usually add a light flick of translucent fiinishing powder for daytime and I'm done.Matrixyl has helped me to look like I've had a good, ... It certainly helps to make my skin plumper and fresher. I'm in my 60's and my lines are not exactly fine (or bothersome to me) - but my skin does feel better for using it. (am+pm). I'll probably swap out the natural moisturizing factors + ha with 100% plant-derived squalane as the winter cracks on. Really pleased with this product

I'm not one for beauty products! Though even I was becoming aware of my aging face and dry skin.I was suggested this brand and product used in conjunction with Hyaluronics and moisturiser.I could certainly feel the difference even after a full day exposed to the elements and an air con building. My face still felt hydrated and moisturisered. Now after a few weeks of use morning and night my skin actually looks different. Fresher and healthier.I'm actually really impressed and wish I'd perhaps invested more in prior years. Oh well no harm in starting even if late.
Have noticed a slight difference in the fine lines in my forehead after just a week of use. I cleanse with bioderma micellar water first, pycnogenol, matrixyl and then finish with the Ordinary HA moisturizer. I do recommend letting each serum sink in for at least 30 seconds before continuing with the next application. Matrixyl is mildly sticky but after the moisturizer application, less so.For those concerned about it being more costly for regular use, Matrixyl and a few other items are a bit cheaper on the Ordinary website and shipping is free with $25+ orders. It's even cheaper with any sales they do! (Recently purchased it for $8.85 CA).
First, confession, I am over 50 and have never taken care of my skin. After asking a friend at work about her skincare, because hers looked AMAZING, she told me she had been a skincare consultant in the past. When I asked for a recommendation she said The Ordinary had the best quality, and a great price. I logged in and took the quiz, since I had no clue where to start. I bought the products it recommended: Squalene Cleanser, Matrixyl, Squalene serum, and Natural Moisturing Factors HA, I added the AHA/BHA mask also.I decided to wait until I was done with the first batch of product to write any review. I was not expecting fast results, but hoped for the best. I can now say at about a month in that the results are awesome! I am watching my pores shrink, the dryness, ... I am watching my pores shrink, the dryness, uneven skin tone, and fine lines are all visibly improving. I use the mask twice a week and the other products twice a day. Can't express how thrilled I am! There is hope! Even if you have neglected your skin forever :)
This has to be TO's most cosmetically elegant serum. It sinks in really nicely, isn't under- or overly-slippery, plays nicely with almost everything else, and hydrates so nicely. Surprising for a relatively simple formulation, but I suspect it's the balance of water, glycerin, and HA, besides the peptide complex. It's also unexpectedly soothing, great after shaving in my beard and neckline. I missed it after swapping out for the Multi Peptide and HA I was gifted. I use it with another brand's niacinamide serum (after letting it sink in for a few mins) and I've never had better skin. Has definitely improved the look of my face and I no longer get eczema on my forehead and neck since using it. Underrated for sure.
I started using Matrixyl in Jan 2024 in AM only, so just over 4mths in. I love what it's doing for my skin, so far. It's a lovely light serum that works great with my moisturizer, sunscreen and makeup. I use niacinamide & retinal.02% at night (having stepped up slowly with lower retinoids) and the combination has really started giving results. I've recently had 3 totally random comments about how good my complexion looks (I've never had happen before)! I'm fair skinned with freckles and over the years gained sun damage, pigmentation, wrinkles, enlarged pores, breakouts and more! All of these latter issues are definitely improving - I wish I'd started this skincare regime years ago! I love The Ordinary products and im so glad I started using them.
I'm 28, I have dry sensitive skin, and rather pronounced dynamic lines on my forehead. The lines were there since I was a teen, just a skin feature of active facial expressions I guess. In the last couple of (very stressful) years these lines got deeper and longer, across all my forehead. I tried multiple products and this one is the best so far. It took a couple of months until I noticed the results. My lines smoothened out, not completely of course, but they are far less noticeable. Strange enough it didn't seem to affect my smile lines or area around the eye so much. However, once I'm out of this product, it seems like the lines are coming back, so I will keep using this for now. With TO it's hit or miss for me, multipeptide serum breaks me out very quick, and ... MoreI'm 28, I have dry sensitive skin, and rather pronounced dynamic lines on my forehead. Well lets start by stating im 38 years old, i have lines, lots of microlines, i have the 11s and upper lip crinkle wrinkles, I brought this because its hard to find a budget serum with both matrixyl 3000 and matrixyl synth 6 in it and ive been using it for 3 months atm I probably should gibe it longer to be fair.I cant say im seeing huge differences but there is a difference, more so in my relaxed face. but its not enough for me. so yeah its a nice product but i think its more for entry level or young adults experiencing wrinkles, or maybe its just my skin not loving the formulation, give it a try, its cheap enough, get through a bottle and make a decision for yourself, but for me, i was nearly gas-lighting myself into believing it did more then it has because i ... I have to say though, its lovely to apply on the skin and works really well with argiraline and layers well too
