This serum has a gel-watery texture with a slightly sour aroma (it smells like dried fruit to my nose). In the bottle, it has a light orange tint, but in fact it is transparent. For the entire face, neck and décolleté, I need 5-6 drops. Due to the presence of a pipette, it is very convenient to dose the serum. I apply the serum after cleansing and toning the skin, wait a couple of minutes, then apply the cream all over my face. Serum is applied easily, pleasantly and gently glides over the skin. Absorbs quickly, leaving a slight stickiness behind. But after applying the cream, this feeling of slight discomfort disappears. My skin does not sting after application, but some note that there may be a slight tingling sensation. I started to notice the first changes in my skin after 1.5 weeks of use. The skin became more hydrated and incredibly soft and pleasant to the touch, but most importantly, the traces of rashes on the chin disappeared. I have acne spots for a very long time, but with lactic acid I get rid of them much faster. But do not forget that when using products with acids in your care, you must definitely use a cream with an SPF filter! Minimum SPF30, even in winter, and even when there is no sun. For 1.5 months of regular use, I lost 1/3 of the bottle.

This is a great product for those that are introducing lactic acid into their routine, as they can step it up to their 10% formula for quicker and more intense results… but first your skin needs to get used to this. Personally, I only exfoliate with this 1-3 nights a week, because my skin gets irritated and red when I exfoliate too often—especially on my cheeks! The lactic acid concentration helps reduce the appearance of healing acne, and just gives an overall healthier and brightened skin texture. For me, uneven texture comes from small acne bumps, so this is great for my acne-prone t-zone. The Tasmanian pepper berry is added to calm your skin because of the exfoliation, and the Hyaluronic acid is great for hydration. Overall bang-on product that’s incredibly cost effective, and something that will bring you results. You need to be consistent with this to see them, however, especially since this is a lower concentration. Overall, you know your skin best. If you want to try out a chemical exfoliant, this is dirt cheap (8 CAD) if you want to introduce lactic acid into your routine!

I have struggled with acne since middle school and still struggle now at 27. I have used Proactiv, Clinique, Drunk Elephant, La Roche Posay, ALL OF IT. It’s hard to find an acne system or combination of products that did not dry out my skin and make it peel or burn. When I did find products that worked, the price tag was such that I was spending over $100 a month (way too much for me). Having acne costs enough already between the physical and emotional harm it brings. Lactic acid has made a HUGE difference in my skin, not just my face but also my chest and back and thighs. I use it every day on my face and it has also helped fade post acne marks on my back, legs, and booty! This stuff does not burn, though it may tingle initially and cause some purging during the first two weeks of use. If you are tired of your skin being really dry because of old school products containing benzoyl peroxide and alcohol, and then getting oily and breaking out again as soon as you stop using them, TRY LACTIC ACID. It exfoliates by removing dead skin cells and increasing cell turnover rate, which helps to get all the nasty gunk out of your face without using a harsh mask or peeling solution. Better yet, it is able to do this while balancing your moisture levels so that you don’t dry out like crazy. This lactic acid product specifically is my favorite and you can’t beat the price! Keep at it even if you start noticing small white heads forming all over your face during the first two weeks. Avoid popping them and use this only at night. The breakouts will slow down dramatically and you will start to notice your post acne scars fading and your skin tone evening out.

I felt a slight tingle, but no burning (others not used to acids may need to slowly introduce their skin to this). The first week, I didn’t see anything too drastic, but as time went by, my skin started retaining moisture better and when I smooth moisturizer on at night and the morning, my skin feels SOFT and not textured with dry patches! My makeup doesn’t visibly crack and flake anymore, and overall, the majority of tightness from my normally dry face isn’t as extreme anymore. I would have never expected something like this from such an affordable product, but it’s definitely made me consider tossing out all of my expensive acids serums/toners because nothing has ever made my skin feel significantly less dry which is a GODSEND for the upcoming brittle winter. Can’t wait to see how this helps my skin hold up when the humidity and temp plummets the upcoming months!!

I'm black with a skin color that would be considered medium brown. I attribute my dark marks fading away to this product. I've been using it on and off since mid April. I won't act as if the marks are all gone, but it's significantly better than what it used to be. My skin has been pretty terrible since February of 2020 and the marks seemed to never go away until I started using this. Bought this a while ago when I had a lot of active breakouts and delayed using until they started to clear. Used this only a few times and have already seen a difference -- used in the shower before a gentle cleanser, figured I'd rinse off until my skin builds tolerance as went straight for the 10% serum. My face has been purging slightly but so far with no irritation which is good, just tiny tiny whiteheads. After a 10hr waitressing shift in a heatwave I really needed an exfoliation, this has worked perfectly! My face feels so smooth and decongested, I have noticed my pores also look way smaller and general texture has improved as well (even for acne scarring).
