I have never had physiotherapy or any form of 'hands-on-treatment' for muscle strains but, if I had, then I would assume that this device would akin to it. The niggles and taut muscles are increasingly more prevalent and more noticeable as I continue to exercise (as well as cycle to and from work) with the same vigour as I have done for decades BUT as I age the recovery is longer. The first use of this device was not unpleasant, and the key, I have found, is to not push downwards but to just let the percussive movement act. Work on an area for several minutes and then move to the next strain. I have not found the weight of the device heavy or obstructive (though I am very flexible and use it on my shoulder muscles or lower back without losing control. Purchased the Thera Mini about 6 weeks ago and it has seen near daily use. I have never used a massage gun prior to this purchase but have a friend who used one and recommended. I being in my Mid-40's and having taken a slight (multiple year) hiatus from regular exercise have found the mini to help with timeframes of recovery and ease some of the pain related to rigorous days at the Gym. As a medical professional I would recommend this type of therapy for anyone like me whom is long overdue for regular exercise and decided on whim to show up to Crossfit as apposed to slow and logical buildup to regular exercise. Runs for hours without need for recharge, easy to use, solidly built, comfortable in hand and really helps with recovery.

I absolutely love this thing! In fact, it is my purchase of the year for 2021. I thought this was expensive for what it was when I first saw it and bought a cheap lookalike from another online store - it was rubbish so I returned it. I then bought this as a TSV and tried it on a stiff neck, which I occasionally get from sleeping. I was amazed that within a few minutes, the pain had gone. I bet it returns in the morning, I thought. No - in the morning the pain hadn’t returned. Since then, I have sceptically tried it out on different strains, aches and pains and I am simply staggered at how effective it is. It is far better than taking a pain killer as it also heals. I've found the Theragun Mini to be perfect for treating sore muscles brought on by exertion in every part of my body. It's light enough that it's extremely easy to manoeuver by myself and though the 'punching' effect might look dramatic it's surprisingly gentle and soothing. But make no mistake - it cuts my recovery time way down. I can't speak to how effective it is on muscle pains caused by other factors such as injury or illness, but if you're looking for an easy to use way to improve your recovery time and soothe your tired muscles, this is a great product. After weeks of pain in my Achilles I had to consult a trained professional. She recommended that I get a massage gun to supplement the treatment she was giving me. She said Theragun were her brand of choice for reliability and value. Decided not to spend £200+ on the top of the range model; got the smaller model instead. so far, no complaints, it works well, three speeds available and, most importantly, seems to be helping ease the pain in my Achilles!
I have arthritis in my lower spine and hip (one hip already replaced) and upper spinal issues also which makes movement really difficult. I hoped this would help loosen up the muscles around the affected areas. It arrived today in super quick time. I immediately opened package and tried it out. Wowser! Unfortunately I initially tried on most painful area, thigh, oh my, was it sore. I swapped the hard attachment for the supersoft and moved to less painful area. What a difference. If you have any major aches / pains, I'd recommend you use the supersoft attachment first. Strange sensation at first, but it became easier the more I used. I was gradually able to use all over affected areas. The most amazing investment! Suffered a gradual incline of pain. All subsiding with using the theragun. Ergonomic handling. Slightly weighty for upper limbs. But overall has helped decrease analgesia needs, and feel less tight overall leading to being able to stretch more too! Just an amazing product! Worth every dollar.
The build is solid. The design is good. The grip is such that one can easily reach different part of the body. It is not as powerful as the Theragun pro I have but it is good enough to carry to the gym forcwarming up the muscles as well as relieving the muscle soreness after workout. It is really convenient to carry in the gym kit. All in all, a very good addition to the Theragun family.
I’m someone who loves getting a massage and was excited to try and use this product. The app is clear and straightforward to use. I’ve been targeting areas around my body. Because of the petite size of this, it’s really easy to access my shoulders and upper and lower back. It’s made a massive difference, even to my long-standing knots. I’ve also started running recently and have injured my foot. This has helped relieve the pain and meant I could return to it much sooner. It says that it’s 60% more effective at deep tissue- it certainly makes me feel amazing. The size of this is light enough to pack if going away and the battery lasts for a while too meaning you can massage whenever. I would recommend to this anyone as who doesn’t love a bit of pampering!
