I have had 6 of these replaced under warranty so far in the last 12 months The battery compartment will stop holding the battery in place after about 3-5 weeks of daily use (about an hour a day on the top level). A mounting screw comes out. I am sure it would be an easy redesign as the previous model did not have this issue. But Theragun does not fix issues, just replaces the gun with current stock or fixes the issues with a new shell and moves on to promoting their newest model (Pro 5 which now has a 1 year warranty instead of 2). The company replaces/fixes the gun, but the customer service is awful. From the time of notifying them that the gun has stopped working until I receive a new gun is 4 to 5 weeks on average.If you are not using it often, it is a great ... NOT HYPERBOLE- the Theragun has given me back my ROM (range of motion) and flexibility in my hamstrings and glutes (which neither daily SMR'ing w/a hard foam roller nor an hour-long deep tissue massage could do) in LESS THAN 2 WEEKS. The knots that had been hindering my progress are gone. It has also sped up my recovery from taxing weight training and cardio (ocean swimming, cycling & running) workouts so I am able to progressively overload my muscles without fear of DOMS holding me back the next day or two. This is by far a great product. My massage therapist used this machine upon my request. Over time, I thought why not just replace my massage therapist with the Theragun. It's really effective and readily available for you to use after a long day at work or after a rigorous workout or your nightly jog. HOWEVER, there is no real effective way of reaching the middle of your back. Lower back is fine, upper back is fine, but the middle back is simply not reachable. The issue is that your arm/hand is not flexible enough to face the gun directly to your back. It has to be at an angle. Even though I can change the angle of the vibrating vessel, I still can't get a straight angle into the back. The awkward angle causes you to hold the gun in an unstable manner and the gun ... Excellent product and much more improved from previous version. Not sure if battery life is improved but I am using it. It is slightly more quieter and much more powerful than prior model.Negative: my previous version had the connection to charge battery direct from the theragun. This new one I noticed you took it away.And the battery from older model is not the same. Why the change after paying so much for it. It would have been nice to use older batteries with the newer models.Thank you for sending out product so rapidly.
I use it on my back to alleviate tension from physical activity. It's also good with the eventual sore neck and tight hamstrings/calves.Mine makes a rattle noise depending on the angle I use it. This makes me feel that I am using something less than premium. Given the price - and hype - about the TheraGun Pro, I was not expecting this. I'm in touch with the manufacturer to address this. I'm hoping they come through.Also - the case is not designed to carry the battery charger and the attachment pouch. I managed to fit them in, but this being the top-of-the-foodchain product, I expected better here too.
This is life changing. For someone in their late 20s, who has had back pain sonce hogh school and been seeing both chiropractors and massage therapists for years, this is definitely worth the money. I don't know that I would be able to use ot as effectively if I hadn't learned so much about how my massage therapist works areas, becaise it is a lottle more difficult than point and press, but nothing else (cheaper percussive massagers, manual massager S shaped thing, foam rollers, tennis balls, etc) can loosen my muscles as well as this (other than my massage therapist, though she starts with the theragun to generally loosen things up). I mostly use the dampener head, but as I get used to it, I started using the standard head on some parts. I am super tight all over, even things that don't bother me. I feel like I have built a reliance on it, so I don't think I could go back to not having one, but I also think I will be able to shorten or decrease the frequency of my professional massages if I use this every night. It also feels amazing and can really put me to sleep. I don't generally go to sleep easily unless it is late, but somehow if I use it at 9 in bed, I'll be drifting off by 9:30, even if I'm trying to get something done.As far as the app goes, it isn't really all that useful. The pressure gauge is interesting, but on the routines, it sort of made me feel like I needed to grit my teeth and press harder, when I actually needed to move around the point that hurt and come at it slowly so I could do it without it hirting much (and therefore avoid spasms and tightening). I learned that from how my massage therapist approaches bad knots, but someone who doesn't know that could try to follow the apps guide and make things worse and believe that it must be painful to work.
This device works great for the intended purpose. It allows me to work on trouble spots that are prone to injury and has kept me on my daily running schedule for several months now. I was forced to decrease my rating by two stars due to the absolutely abysmal included battery charging system. It doesn’t charge consistently and I’m forced to reinsert the batteries into the charger multiple times before finally obtaining a full charge. This has resulted in an interruption in daily essential pre/post run therapy. I returned my first unit due to battery charging issues and the 2nd one is equally troublesome. I’m ordering one of the other available charging systems with the hope for more reliable and consistent charging. Recommended, but with some reservations.

During some of these times, their body gets completely locked up and they become immobile. However, they are present enough to be able to utter maybe a few words, and to grant me permission to use the Theragun on them in the places on their body where they tend to store stress. Every time we do this, after a few minutes, they recover from their flashback nearly 50%-90%. The sensations and the massage action helps bring them back to the present ... I threw my back out a few weeks ago, and using this thing enabled me to stand up straighter and be able to walk around at a normal pace instead of me feeling like I needed a walker with those tennis balls at the bottom.)
The theragun pro is nice to get into those deep tissue sores or pains. I got some glass feet and i use this on the back of my heel to really get into the pain. After a good 10 minute session on both feet it helps to relief the pain. You can change the tip heads for the softness or hardness or the shape of the tip to your liking. I wish i had this when i was working out a few years back. I could have really used it when my legs were sore from hitting glutes and quads. The product comes with 5 addition interchangeable heads, plus the one already on the theragun. An additional lithium battery, and charging dock.
