I bought this to replace a case for a small form-factor multimedia computer that I mostly use for streaming and gaming. This let me put a large GTX970 card into my PC. I am impressed with the case. It came with plenty of screws, excellent ventilation, and the 5.25 bays are becoming a rarity. I avoided thermaltake products for a long while because of the high noise-level. Yes, they were high performance, but I can only listen to so many super noisy fans for so long. This case breaks all those expectations. I also have a 10 year old TR2-700W PSU that is different from those expectations. I would buy this case again. It's *almost* as nice as my Silverstone case and cost less than half as much. I debated switching to make this my main case, but I still like the other ... On a whole the case is light and easy in/out for HDD's regardless of size, in ways it seemed the case was a little on the fragile side, now comes the lowpoint ! I could not get the buttons to work on not one out of three cases it was like they were designed for straight voltage, and if the buttons don't work well need I say more

I really liked the case for the price. Case was used to convert an NVR from a large rack mount case to something that could be kept on the floor. I added a three hot swap bay unit for Data drives into two of the three 5.25" bay leaving room for a DVD recorder. The internal bays were mostly great to work with except for Con mentioned above. Would buy this case again.

Slot covers can be a challenge to remove if you're new to this. There is a plastic cover on the rear of the case you need to take off, it just snaps in, to access the slot screw holes when you mount a card. It's different but not in a bad way. Front fans snap into the Filter screen. Different but it works and I like it. Easy to add some LED's in the front if you didn't want to go with RGB fans. I had some red strips laying around. The light will bleed into the lower 5.25slot area so you will need to block off the top lower chamber otherwise it will ruin the look IMO. I used some electrical tape.
This is not an ideal case for a high end gaming system, the case is too narrow for most popular tower coolers. Access to cpu backplate is important as you may want to change out coolers if you were o/c and this case would be very difficult for that. Drive cages are fixed and a very long gpu could be an issue although most modern gpu are not that long anymore and the ssd cage lines up with the to pci-e so there is adequate space for any card I've ever owned. IT is a perfect case for a htpc or a lower powered home/office pc that you wanted to hide in a drawer because it vents very well with minimal fans. I've used a couple of these to build pc for family or friends who just want something you could buy off the shelf locally but this will help keep the price down ... It's a cheap case that gets the job done. Just have be careful not to rough handle it because it's really flimsy and panels can easily bend and warp which makes it difficult to put them back on. One of it greatest up sides is the cable management as with good routing, you can really hide the mess of cables out of sight. One down side is that I wish it came with more PCI port covers to replace the pop out ones in case you pop out ones you didn't need to and leave unsightly uncovered port in the rear.
Great case at a reasonable price. Built an micro ATX computer in a smaller case in October, but cable management was a serious problem. Found this case which still fit in my computer desk, but was taller and wider than the old case. Cable management is much better, though I would have liked a little more room in back. Airflow will be MUCH better as I have two front fans, one rear fan, and two exhaust fans on top of case.
I think this is a very nice case for it's price. Steel is fairly thin gauge, which is fine. Some of my old builds had case steel thick enough to stop a 12 gauge slug. Not really necessary, unless you hang out with Vash the Stampede. My MSI Tomahawk Z390 popped right in. Note: If you pull the M2 cover and put a drive in that slot, the M2 screw is already "in" the cover. Little persnickety to get the M2 SSD to stay put while you are trying to get the heatsink/cover attached to the board. Always have the option of leaving the cover off if you like. Not sure if I like the quickie 5.25 "caddies" in the cage or not. I did fasten my 5.25 WD hard drive to the caddy using the bottom access screw holes. Little bit loose after sliding in and snapping into the cage. Is probably ... MoreI think this is a very nice case for it's price. Steel is fairly thin gauge, which is fine. Please note the power button is on the very top of the front cover--in fact it stays on the case when you pull the front cover off, so make sure you pull from the bottom. There is a ridge piece with the reset, hard drive led, and power button on it at the top. Just FYI. You can reach under the bottom, almost like a handle under there to pull. Try not to break the feet off like I did. I stuck it back on, it is kind of staying put. Good luck to all on their builds!
Everything about this case is great EXCEPT ONE THING. ~~~~~ ~~~~~ ~~~~~ The 3.5" HDD slots are UN-USEable. They slot in and lock in place nicely but plugging in the SATA cables leaves them sticking out well past where the side panel needs to go. ~~~~~ ~~~~~ ~~~~~ You cannot put the case side on when a 3.5"HDD is plugged in. ~~~~~ ~~~~~ ~~~~~ There is plenty of room for the HDDs to sit back farther in the case, sadly. Hmm perhaps there is a stop tab in the slot... AHA! ~~~~~ ~~~~~ ~~~~~ 2 small tabs bent flat let me push the slide back farther than intended and it fits!!! ~~~~~ ~~~~~ ~~~~~ Pics included.
I cut giant holes in the HDD/SSD racks. Removed the mesh on the front cover, pulled the foam filter out. I dropped in a good 120mm fan, and put the fan that comes with the Versa on top of that in the front, the filter will even fit over that (not that I plan on using it). Good fan in the back, Video card exhausts the rest. It is a surprisingly flimsy case due to the thin metal in it's skeletal structure, but the construction is very high quality which allows them to get away with such flimsy material. We have to be careful when working with it, but it is a highly versatile PC case. I'm using it only temporarily, but I love using it. I'll put other PC in this case for many years. If I could do it again, and I might buy another one. I would get a proper tool to cut ... MoreI cut giant holes in the HDD/SSD racks. Removed the mesh on the front cover, pulled the foam filter out.
