Timex Men's Expedition Metal Field Watch, Brown Leather Strap

Unfortunately Timex is not living up to their original slogan "Takes a Licking and Keeps on Ticking." I've purchased a few watches over the past couple of years and the quality is not good. Timex watches just don't last very long. Example, Short battery life, not keeping accurate time over a few days, back cover plate fell off when watch dropped onto floor.

I rate this a 2 star based on the fact I have owned 2 of these and both of them had the stem come out making the watch useless. The first lasted 3 years the second lasted only a year. I do not give a watch harsh treatment so I have to place the blame on the watch design or construction. Other wise this watch has much to like; the display is legible, the Indiglo feature is excellent and the larger CR 2016 battery gives good battery life. Both watches kept excellent time, off less than five seconds a month from the government internet time signal.

My second watch in this style. Accurate, the strap is more comfortable after a few days of break-in, but that's to be expected with the leather. I have expensive watches, but as I work with my hands so much, it's foolish to wear them except in a better environment. One of the two quartz Timex watches is on my wrist from 0530 till 2300 every day. Accuracy and comfort at a great value. A workingman's watch, but looks good enough to wear anywhere.
