It is an excellent product, depending upon your use and knowing 'how' to glue correctly... of course, you have to meet it half-way by knowing how to use glue in general. Explaining why glue will not stick to old glue gets very old after the first 300 times!I buy it by the gallon, and am about ready to purchase this, or Gorilla Glue, depending mainly on the price... I've had excellent results with both, so price is the only factor (and shelf life/exp. date).I'd recommend it to anyone that takes their glue durability as seriously as the project as it is being used for... just pay attention to what your finished product should look like, and this glue will allow you to "weld" wood together, making the seam tougher than the lumber it joins!

I have used this glue for many years now. If a non-waterproof glue is OK for your requirements then this is one of the best especially if only small amounts are needed each time. This glue has a very long shelf life and providing it is kept in a relatively cool place it will be usable for many years after original purchase. Yes there are other excellent Titebond glues which have variant degrees of waterproofing qualities but these have a much shorter shelf life and need to be used much more quickly.

Titebond is my "go to" glue for the many wood projects I do. They have many different types of glue including an Extend Wood Glue that doesn't dry for 24 hours. This is to allow you to work on large set up jobs that take a long time to put together with the ability to adjust as you go.

Holds its own
17 June 2023

Great product, but worth purchasing the larger sized container from big box stores for larger jobs. The product’s container is similar to your school days Elmer’s glue, so make sure it’s closed to avoid messes. Quality is great and definitely a product to hold wood projects tightly together. I used brads in additional reinforcement , but the glue held it’s own without any issues

I'm Glad I Switched
29 May 2020

I had been using Elmer's Carpenter's Wood Glue for over 10 years. I guess I was kind of snobbish and went with the brand recognition of Elmer's. But why? This year on a trip to Lowes the Elmer's was sold out. I needed glue. I had watched a DIY woodworking show on TV and all three craftsman were using Titebond (apparently a sponsor of the show), so I thought I'd give it a try. I'm so glad I did. For a few of reasons; 1) it works as well as if not better than Elmer's, 2) clean up is the same 3) it's about half the price! With proper application and clamping Titebond will not fail. I'm glad I switched.

It has a nice consistency when applying and it holds the wood very well when bonded. If your project is targeting outdoor use, I suggest getting the Ultimate (green label) version. For indoor, this glue provides excellent results.

Titebond Original Wood Glue is great!!
25 July 2023

The glue is great. I had a project of putting together a drawer that fell apart when I dropped it. I pieced it together first, then I glued every side while repositioning into place. A little trick I do is once a side is glued, I tape it in place with electrical tape. Comes off so easily.

I have used Tightbond I, II, III, clear and dark and their special glue for trim molding. They all work superbly. For the past few years, because I can always rely on good results, I have been using Titebond on the guitars that I've been making.Of course, I can always find the type of glue that I need at Rockler. But I also find much of the wood I need there as well. fretboard material, figured wood, and veneers. All at reasonable prices. Here are some photos, including a heavily modified Telecaster kit guitar purchased from Rockler. My daughter did the wood burning art.

Using This As an End Grain Sealer
16 September 2020

I am using this glue as an "end grain sealer" for two large (30-inch diameter) wood cross-cuts. I'm pleased with how it's working so far. It seems to have slowed/stopped a developing crack that wasn't major, but that I was concerned about. And, it seems to have prevented any additional cracks. It also puts a really nice gloss on the wood, although that's not why I'm using it.The cross-cuts are about 4 inches thick and, based on what I've read, will take a few years to dry. After they dry and are at a consistent moisture level (I'm drying them in a "sunken basement" room in our house), my husband and I plan to use a router with sled to level and reduce the thickness of the cross-cuts -- as far as I know, that's when I'll know whether my efforts to keep them from ... MoreI am using this glue as an "end grain sealer" for two large (30-inch diameter) wood cross-cuts. Hopefully, the dried glue won't be a problem when we try to level and reduce the thickness of the cross cuts -- I haven't research that yet.I've read that keeping wood cross cuts from cracking can be quite a challenge. But, with using this glue as an end grain sealer, I would say, so far, so good. I found a video online that gave me the idea to use this glue as an end grain sealer, and I'm really glad I found that video.

I just needed some different glue, not just for wood.I have used it on woodworking projects, and its a great glue as pre made glue go. it does what it has too, dries fairly quickly, with a good strong bond. But I also wanted a glue for some leatherwork projects. gave this a go, hey that worked. save purchasing leather "specific" glue! and for the amount I use across both . This will serve nicely.
