Didn't workIf there is very less space around oil filter, or hard to put hand around filter most likely it won't work for others as well. I ended up buying the clamp one. That's best for less space around oil filter

Got off that dastardly tight filter. Had to come at it from a few different angles to find the right grip. I could imagine these would not work on many cars/filters, but did the job on my VW Tiguan.

Work well, strong grip on slippery oil and fuel filters. Suits most size filters. You do need a bit of room to be able to grip the filter, but overall, work well.

If you have the room it will get the filter off.Bear in mind it WILL pierce the filter.Overall much better than many other filter removal tools.
I really like these because you can remove a variety of different size oil filters. And there's less mucking around like with other oil filter tools. Just grab and turn. Easy.
Wonderful little tool. Removed filter with the slightest amount of force. Have tried others but they either break or slip. This tool is just great. It made the task quicker and effortless. The only thing to watch out for is that it has a minimum and maximum size of filter it can handle, but for my use it covers all the filters I encounter.
Only used them once so far on my Falcon. Worked perfectly, nice grip on the filter. Should work well on smaller filters too
Superior to conventional band style filter wrenches, in most regards. Easier to use. Better in restricted access situations. Good for any diameter filter. Could be improved by increased jaw width, and some rubber padding to minimise filter damage.
Worked well on a tractor large diameter hydraulic filter cap which wouldn't budge. The tool worked very well. Haven't used it yet on smaller oil filters but don't see why it wouldn't work just as well. It might however damage the filter you are trying to take off (scratch, crush somewhat as you apply pressure). Not that I've ever needed those old filters anyway.
Used it to undo Poly pipe fitting that I wasn't able to loosen with multigrips. Worked well & have no hesitation in giving it 5 stars for that use. If handle was a bit longer it would be even better for plumbing fittings, but might then be a bit big for oil filter use.
