Good product, good coverage. I get good speed. Wifi 6 compatible but kinda useless unless you have windows 11 loaded on your pc and have a wifi 6 router. For some reason if i select duel band with preferred 5ghz network it still selects the more stable 2.4ghz network. You can however force the 5ghz to be used by selecting the single 5ghz band.Wish it had an app where you can sort out all these setting and not need to go into your Network adapter properties.

Great card for price. WiFi is as good as any source it gets. Awesome part is I can Bluetooth my display and audio to my TV to watch movies from my computer without a cable connection or network.Only reason I have only given 4 instead of 5 starts is because the heatsink cover isn't actually touching the components, there is a visible air gap (from the side) that appears like a thermal pad should be between them. Meaning the heatsink is just for show. Either way card works great for price, and Asus one without a heatsink costs more anyway.

It works brilliantly. I have been using it everyday for a month and have had no trouble with it. I bought it for my new computer. I have multiple bluetooth devices and sometimes prefer not to run a cable through the house to the router. Easy to install. I'd recommend it if you have these needs.

After a quick install, the WiFi seemed to work great at first - ran a few tests on my internal network to see if I was getting the advertised performance and things started off great. I was getting file transfer speeds between devices on my network in excess of 900 Mbps - not exactly what it claims it can do. I also ran some online tests and got a passable result of 920 Mbps to my ISP from ookla. So far so good right? Well, after about 20 minutes of use, I noticed that things slowed down dramatically. I went to check my connection status and is seemed like the device had dropped connection completely. After a minute or so, it reconnected on its own and things seemed to be smooth again. This process never stopped. The longest the card was able to remain connected to my 5GHz network was about 33 minutes. It constantly dropped the connection, and would take about 60 to 120 seconds to reconnect. This is my first TP-Link product and has honestly sort of ruined my interest in them because of how poorly the device performed.

Didn't fit stock NZXT H510
4 February 2023

There's two sized PCIe brackets included, which fit different cases. Neither fit stock into my NZXT H510, so I had to snap it at the divot of the larger one, and then it was a perfect fit. Instructions did not suggest this, and this certainly voids your warranty, but helpful in a pinch.Linux installation was a bit annoying, took a couple hours to work that out, but Windows worked flawlessly out of the box.

So the card came in this nice packaging, and looked nice with nice and big antennas. I was happy, and i started installing it, and oh boy did my mood change quickly. My computer doesn't have a DVD-ROM player, so i had to use my old wifi card to get it from the site, which was fine. I install the drivers, switch the wifi cards out, and restart my computer. After restarting, it connected to my wifi, but the speeds were so slow, Chrome actually thought i had no internet. So, got out my laptop, used the cd, and put the drivers on a usb stick, only to find out they were the same drivers i found online. Out of desperation, i restarted my computer and all of a sudden, it worked. The speeds are now good, and im satisfied.

The wireless is fine. I'll also never use it. I got this so I can pair a bluetooth headset when I want active noise cancellation. Otherwise, I don't mind wires. Wired ethernet is still miles ahead. So, about the bluetooth. I've seen the pain and suffering people have endured with those USB bluetooth dongles and very much wanted to avoid that fiasco. I didn't notice in the picture that tiny white plug under the heatsink. That's for one of those dinky internal USB cables. THE PCIe IS FOR THE WIFI ONLY. They expect you to fish that dinky cable around and hope you have a spare USB2 header on your motherboard. Unfortunately, those sneaky turds are usually packed in at the bottom, even assuming you have a spare (I was lucky). You know, usually behind all your expansion ... MoreThe wireless is fine. They expect you to fish that dinky cable around and hope you have a spare USB2 header on your motherboard. Unfortunately, those sneaky turds are usually packed in at the bottom, even assuming you have a spare (I was lucky). You know, usually behind all your expansion cards, front panel connectors and quite possibly some coolant hard tubing (Okay, that may be my fault). Everyone knows how much of a PITA those little things are, and about 100x worse on a completed running PC. If they were so hell-bent on it being USB for some reason, why not put the USB controller on the card? Sure it might cost more, but it could actually be a lot better - no bus contention, can be sure it's a controller that behaves well, and no mucking around a motherboard with nearly microscopic cables hoping you won the motherboard jackpot and actually have a spare header to use. TL;DR - don't be fooled, the bluetooth is still USB, and a horribly annoying implementation at that. You might as well just suffer through the dongle.

8 September 2020

This is easily the fastest, best overall performing PCIe wifi/bluetooth adapter I've ever owned. However, I was very disappointed to learn that installing this device requires an available USB 2.0 header on the motherboard, in addition to the open PCIe slot. To make this work, I had to disconnect my front panel USB 2.0 slots. Not a huge loss, but disappointing because nothing in the description of this product, or its images, indicated or showed a USB 2.0 requirement. I've seen wifi only PCIe adapters that don't require USB 2.0, but due to lack of vendor provided specs on their products, I don't know if a wifi/bluetooth adapter is possible without using a USB 2.0 header (excluding a USB dongle). Feedback welcome....

Finally have the freedom of moving my setup I know in the ideal world Ethernet is faster than wifi but I was limited on only having my pc set up in the living room. Now my pc is in the study where it belongs. Bt is also hand for connecting mobile devices and my connection speed is only 2 mb/s slower than on lan which isn’t going to be noticed in the slightest.Install was fairly simple although having to remove my graphics card so that I could access a usb2 header was a slight draw back on speed of installation. In first boot I did on lan went to device manager and checked drivers were installed and up todate which they were it’s worked perfectly from day one.Placement on motherboard needs to be carefully chosen so that the antennas aren’t blocking display ports ... MoreFinally have the freedom of moving my setup I know in the ideal world Ethernet is faster than wifi but I was limited on only having my pc set up in the living room. wow, i REALLY messed around with this card. i for some reason thought that i could fit this over my existing front card reader so i took in and out those small pins so many times before i realized i couldnt, it had already used the data pins. so that should speak a bit of the durability. bluetooth took a bit of time to get working but it does infact work and it doesnt disconnect. i have not tested wifi out too much. do NOT use the included drivers, just let windows do it
